The Saving of Lance

Pidges' Love

Third-person Pov

        The team finally checked on the trio around dinner, so that they could tell them food was ready ( that and a certain pair of alphas were acting bitchy without Lance near them and Hunk was done with them).  Keith, Shiro, and Hunk walked into the residential Gremlins lab and couldn't help but smile. Matt and Lance had fallen asleep playing Mario cart and Pidge had climbed into their labs. She had her earphones on and was typing softly on her laptop. Hunk snuck up behind her and kissed her cheek. Well, this startled her causing her to kick Matt in his privates. Matt woke up with a shout which caused Lance to wake up in a panic. Then Keith and Shiro started to hover over him to make sure he was ok. The whole situation made Hunk and Pidge start giggling. 

          Matt just groaned," Is my pain just a joke to you", he cried out only to get a yes in response from his sister. It took a good 10 minutes for everyone to calm down. Everyone sat down in a circle while Hunk went and got dinner from the kitchen. Peaceful silence fell upon the room as Lance crawled into the laps of Keith and Shiro. The Cuban then processed to make direct eye contact with the eldest Holt then with Pidge. The youngest flinch which made Lances' eyes harder with silent understanding and determination," Pidge is presenting soon and by soon I mean maybe a few days", Lance spoke softly just loud enough for the rest of the room to hear. Keith tensed under the omega as Shiro gently moved Lance into his lap before standing up. Shiro slowly walked over to Pidge who had pulled her knees to her chest and had her head down. The head alpha knelt next to her before wrapping his arms around her.

         Well, Pidge slowly started to shake as tears spilled from her eyes. The rest of the team slowly closed in around the pair creating a puppy pile. Pidge clang on to her friends and in a shaky voice began to talk," I'm scared and I'm supposed to be the level headed one but right now I can't think straight", everyone tightened their grips on her in understanding. The sound of the door sliding up startled everyone into separating. Hunk, Allura, and Coran walked into the room looking very confused as they sat down plates of food. Hunk glanced over at Pidge only to realize that she had been crying. He ran over to her in a panic.

        The Samoan man wraps himself around his smaller partner, "What happened Katie", he asked in a hushed voice while slowly running his fingers through her hair. Pidge only whimpered and tried to get even closer to him. Shiro decided to answer for her since she wasn't up to answer and he was in the mood for emotional angst from secrets. He cleared his voice before speaking, " She is presenting soon apparently and is scared about it", Hunk nodded into the silence before replying. " I figured it would be soon her emotions are everywhere", He rubbed her back in comfort.

        Pidge pinched him,"  Don't talk about me like I'm not here dumbasses", the group just giggled at her. The pair slowly stood up before Pidge hurriedly grabbed a plate. Lance laughed and joined her. Soon the rest of the team followed with a silent promise to continue the conversation after food. 

Time Skip

        Once everyone was done eating the quickly got back in a circle on the floor to talk. Shiro was the first to talk, " Ok you little gremlin what are your symptoms that way we can narrow down your dynamic and find out how to proceed", he said with a joking tone despite the seriousness of the subject. Everyone made a silent checklist in their heads of symptoms they had at presentation time to help. Pidge crossed her arms looking rather embarrassed," I'm always hungry, can't focus, irritable well more than usual and uh", a pale blush coated her face. Shiro looked at her in understanding, " Are you feeling more possessive of Hunk and your private space", she nodded meekly. Hunk and the omegan duo looked confused, well not as much as Allura and Coran who had no idea what was happening. Keith looked up at Shiro and Pidge," Well it looks like little pidge over here is going to be alpha", the younger Holt flinched back into Hunk as a million thought passed through her head.

         Suddenly she felt a kiss on her shoulder, " Your thinking too hard, we've already had this discussion, Katie", Hunk said in a low voice causing Pidge to melt back into his embrace. Lance giggled from across the room," Well Hunk my buddy looks like your going to be a bottom", Shiro pinched his the thigh while Hunk blushed a deep blush. Keith and Shiro made eye contact before speaking, " Alpha talk time", and before Pidge could escape they had grabbed her and ran out of the room. " NOOOOOOOOO", the remaining people in the room laughed before Lance and Matt  turned to Hunk and got serious," You need to talk to don't think for a second you're getting out of this"
