Chapter 12: Trouble in Paradise

I was running. Who knows where? As long as I am away from him, I'll be fine. Maybe we were meant to be rivals after all.
~~FLASH BACK TO EARLY TODAY~~
It was a week after meeting the three crows. I felt guilty, playing along with them. I felt as if I was betraying my team... my friends.. because of that, I started to avoid Tobio. I still said hi and made meals for him, but we no longer held meaningful conversations. I had been hanging out with the team after school often, mostly with Satori.
"Bye Satori~ see you Monday when school's back in session~." "Aww come on N/N~chan, lets meet up tomorrow~." "Ok~ text me the details! Bye bye~." "Bye~." I closed the front door and took off my shoes. "I'm ba- oh, hello Tobio." There stood Tobio in front of the entrance of the house, arms crossed with a hard glare. I was confused and worried "is everything alright?" "No. Everything is not alright." I went to speak but he spoke first, "where were you? You know what, where do you run off to every single day. Where do you hide to avoid me?" My eyes widened. If I wasn't nervous before, I am now, "w-what do you mean.." He scoffed, "don't play dumb with me Y/N. I know you better than anyone else. Ever since my teammates came over, you've been avoiding me. Why?" I knew I couldn't lie to him, "I... I felt as if I was betraying my team.. I'm sorry.." He was fuming, "don't give me that bullshit answer, what do you mean 'betraying your team?!' If anything, you're betraying ME! Your own BLOOD! You should've went to Karasuno with me, then we would never of fought." I furrowed my eyebrows, "Tobio.. I'm sorry you feel this way but I don't regret going to Shiratorizawa.. I love my friends! I wouldn't trade them for the wor-."
*SLAM*
My eyes widened. Tobio had just slammed me against the wall, "DON'T SAY THAT DAMN IT! YOU'RE A DISGRACE TO THE KAGEYAMA'S!" Now it was my turn to get angry, "WHAT DO YOU MEAN DISGRACE?! I LITERALLY GO TO A DIFFERENT SCHOOL AS YOU! IT'S NOT MY FAULT YOU DIDN'T GET ACCEPTED! STOP BEING SO CHILDISH AND JEALOUS!" "KAGEYAMA'S DON'T LEAVE EACH OTHER IN THE DUST! IF ANYTHING, YOU'RE THE CHILDISH ONE! AVOIDING ME BECAUSE OF YOUR FRIENDS, WHAT A POOR EXCUSE!" "TOBIO!" "NO. LET ME TALK. MOM AND DAD ARE ALWAYS GONE ON BUSINESS TRIPS. ITS JUST US TWO. DO YOU KNOW HOW IT FEELS TO BE LEFT ALONE?! BECAUSE OF THE OTHER'S SELFISH FEELINGS?! I DON'T THINK YOU DO!" I rubbed my temples, "oh my FUCKING GOD TOBIO! YOU ARE SO CHILDISH! SO IMMATURE! SO SELFISH! NO WONDER PEOPLE CALL YOU A KING!" "DON'T CALL ME THAT!" "WHAT? A KING!"
*SLAP*
I stood still in shock. Wow. An unbearable pain rested on my right cheek. I kept my head down and slowly lifted my right hand to my cheek. There was a burning sensation tickling my cheek. I bet it was red by now. My brother had just slapped me. I felt Tobio's eyes on me. "Y/N.. I.." "Go suck a dick." Still holding my cheek, I ran up the stairs and slammed my door shut, locking the door. I put my back against the door and slid down to the ground. I let out a soft sob. Tears were now running along my face. He had never done such a thing before. Sure we got into fights when we were younger, but never once did he hurt me. It was always me who inflicted physical pain on him. Because he let me, his little sister. I covered my mouth with my hands to lower the volume of my sobbing. I.. I really am a selfish brat. I really am a disgrace. I... I need to get out of here. I quickly got up and opened my closet. I grabbed an empty duffel bag and stuffed two random outfits in there along with a set of pajamas. I put in some undergarments and ran to the other side of my room. Stuffing in my phone charger and laptop, I quickly grab a sticky note and a pen. I start to write, "dear Tobio. I'm sorry. I won't be back until Sunday night. I won't be telling you where I am, but I can assure you that I will be safe. -Y/N" I placed the note on my desk. Quickly, I grabbed a pair of old flip flops which were under my bed and put them on. I opened the window and made my way out by climbing onto a tree. I close my window and shakily inhale. Then, I make a run for it.
~~PRESENT TIME~~
I was running. Who knows where? As long as I am away from him, I'll be fine. Maybe we were meant to be rivals after all. Out of breath, I stop by a bench near a playground. Now thinking about this I'll need a place to stay until Sunday, seeing as it is Friday. I know just the person. I sit down and place my duffle bag beside me. I take out my phone and made a call.
