Chapter 6: Journey Home

I rushed to the entrance, hating to make Tendo-senpai wait. Once I spotted the red head, I smiled. "Sorry to make you wait, senpai~" "It's fine~ Shall we?" He offered his hand. "I'll take your bag~" I giggled as I gave him my bag, "we shall, and once again, thank you." "Anytime~" We both smiled at each other, "lead the way manager-chan!"

"Before we start our journey.." I started, "I need to stop by the convenience store, I hope that's ok with you..?" I asked, shyly. "Of course~ I have to buy some things too." Tendo replied, sounding laid back as always. We started walking towards the convenience store together in a comfortable silence. "Hey senpai?" I asked. "Yes~?" "Do you think we could exchange phone numbers? That way we can communicate with each other whenever we want to walk home together!" I smiled. He smirked, "ehhh? Manager-chan asked for my phone number? How bold~!" I pouted, "do you want to exchange numbers or not? Also, please just call me Y/N." "Awww how cute~ of course I want to exchange phone numbers, N/N-chan~" He teases. We stopped walking on the sidewalk and grabbed our phones. It was kind of awkward getting my phone considering it was in my bag and Tendo was holding it. I handed him my phone and he handed me his. I smiled realizing the new nickname, "N/N, huh? I like it. It's.. cute." "Why thank you! Since I get to call you N/N-chan, how about you call me Satori?" He smiled back. I blushed a little which didn't go unnoticed by the tall red head, "a-alright.. Satori-kun." I added my phone number to his phone and made my contact name,
'N/N (~˘▾˘)~ ♥.' We gave each other our own phones back and laughed at the names we gave each other. Satori made his contact name,
'Satori ᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ ♥.'  I put my phone back into my bag and smiled, "let's go!" In about 3 minutes, we arrived at the convenience store. "Ok~ how about we separate and get what we need and meet in front of the cash register." He suggested. "Sure! See you in a bit!" I complied. I grabbed a shopping basket and walked towards the refrigerators. I opened the door of the refrigerator and placed two cartons of milk in the basket. Closing the door, I went towards the onigiri (🍙 rice ball with seaweed). I grabbed 5 plain ones and dropped them in the basket. I walked towards the meat buns and put 2 in separate bags, then placing them in the basket. Satisfied, I walked towards the register seeing Satori waiting for me. "Ready to pay?" He asked. "Yup~ just let me get my wallet from my bag." I answered. I grabbed my wallet and stood behind Satori. We both paid for our items and walked out of the store. "After walking about a block away from the store, I have to go right, what about you N/N-chan?" I frowned, "I have to go left." He also frowned, "aw man, what a bummer! Well I guess this is where we'll part ways." He handed me my school bag and patted my head. "Be safe~ walk home quickly ok~? Don't talk to strangers! Text me when you get home!" I blushed and giggled, "of course! You too, stay safe." I hugged him in gratitude and stepped back after a second or two. "Thank you so much for walking with me! I'll see you tomorrow! Bye bye~!" I turned around and started my way home. What I didn't know, was that the red head was blushing. I arrived home in 8 minutes and unlocked the door, "I'm home~." I took off my shoes and put on my slippers. I placed the groceries on the kitchen counter and jogged upstairs. I went to my room and put my school bag down on my desk and walked to Tobio's room. The door was closed, weird. I knocked. "Tobio..?" After a minute of waiting in silence, I opened the door and peaked in. There I saw Tobio sitting in the chair by his desk with his HEAD on the desk. He was fast asleep. He must've had a bad day, poor soul. I tiptoed to my room and wrote a message on a sticky note for Tobio, 'Morning Tobio! There's some milk in the fridge and the meat buns are waiting in the microwave. -Y/N' I quietly went back into his room and place it right in front of his sleeping face. I snuck out and successfully closed the door. I went back into my room to grab my phone. I had a message from Satori! I opened it. 'Hey N/N! I just got home, are you home too?' I smiled and replied, 'Hi Satori~ I just got home! I'm glad you made it back safely.' With my phone in hand, I walked downstairs to put away the groceries properly. Milk in the fridge, meat buns waiting in the microwave, and onigiri in the pantry. I put the plastic bag in the cabinet where we store them so that we can reuse them later. I went back to the pantry and grabbed an onigiri. I opened the fridge and grabbed a water bottle. Closing the fridge, I remembered I had my bento and water bottle in my school bag. I sighed. Trotting back upstairs, I placed down the onigiri, my water, and my phone on my desk. I grabbed my bento box and old water bottle and headed BACK downstairs. This is enough exercise for a week, right? I opened my bento box and took out my chopsticks. I placed both the chopsticks and the box in the sink. I refilled the water bottle and put it in the fridge. I went BACK upstairs and finally into my room. I closed the door gently and laid on my bed, closing my eyes. I sighed, what a long day.
