Chapter 3: First Day

I stood in the bathroom staring at myself in the mirror. Today is the day. Not only is it the day school starts, but it's the day I must apply for the boy's volleyball club! I looked down at my neatly tucked in light blue dress shirt which had a dark gray sweater over it. I patted down my purple plaid skirt and pulled up my black knee high socks. I then straightened my bow tie and put my H/C hair in a half up half down style, I picked up my hair with a dark purple hair band. I brushed my hair gently to straighten it out. I looked back in the mirror satisfied and left to go to my room. I then put on my white blazer and left it unbuttoned (outfit inspired by this cute fan art I found on google after searching up, Shiratorizawa Academy uniform) and grabbed my school bag which had all of my school and medical supplies in it. ..I still double checked my bag just in case I was forgetting something. Pleased, I headed downstairs, into the kitchen where I saw my brother eating breakfast. "Good morning brother!" I had breakfast before getting ready so that I'd have energy. I grab my bento which I've prepared the day before and put it in my bag. Shiratorizawa is farther from home than Karasuno, so I'm leaving before my brother. "Morning sis.." Tobio said, tiredly. "Are you leaving already?" He asked. "Yup! I have to leave soon, it's a bit of a long walk." I frowned. Tobio got up and patted my head. "Have a good day at Shiratorizawa.. text me when you leave school, maybe we can meet up on the way home." Tobio suggested. "Ok~!" I left Tobio and walked towards the front door. I took off my indoor slippers and put on my brown school shoes. "I'm off~." I opened and then closed the door behind me and locked it. I took a deep breath. To Shiratorizawa!

I've arrived at Shiratorizawa and wow.. it's huge. Clubs held booths in front of the school's main entrance to promote their club. I went searching for the boy's volleyball team when I suddenly heard a familiar voice. "Kageyama-san!" I turned to my side, immediately smiling. "Ah! Semi-senpai!" I greeted. He scratched his neck in an awkward manner. "I told you that I'd see you soon." I smiled at him. "And here we are." I chuckled. "Follow me, I'll lead you to the boy's volleyball team." He took my hand and led me to their booth. He lets go of your hand and clears his throat. "Guys.. this is Kageyama-san, the girl I've mentioned that wanted to be our manager." I looked at the boys who were helping with the booth alongside Semi. One has spiky, bright red hair, with eyebrows of a corresponding color. He also has large, downturned eyes giving him a sleepy looking expression. The other has dark olive-brown hair and matching dark olive eyes. He held a stoic expression on his face and seems rather intimidating. "Hello! My name is Kageyama Y/N! Pleasure to meet you two!" I smiled and bowed politely. "Oya? So you're telling me that this cute girl wants to be our manager? I'm ok with that!" The redhead said in a leisurely tone. "My name is Tendo Satori! Nice to meet ya." He shook my hand and bowed a little. Once he let go, he turned to the intimidating player. "What do you think Wakatoshi?" The so called, "Wakatoshi" glared down at me. "If we were to have a manager, they'd have to be able to supply us with water, support, and feedback. I don't want a girl who doesn't know anything about volleyball." This made me flinch in anger. I chuckled and glared back up at "Wakatoshi." "I'll have you know that I was the manager for Kitagawa Daiichi Junior High's boy's volleyball team for ALL three years. I know how to toss, spike, and receive. Better then some players in fact. I know many game techniques including having a libero toss a volleyball without crossing a certain line. I am MORE than capable of providing the team with water, support, and ESPECIALLY feedback. I'll be the most observant person you know. I am also skilled in the medical field. If a player were to get injured, I'd be able to help them right there on. The. Spot. So," I looked down at his jersey and back up at him, "Mr. Volleyball Captain, do I meet your expectations or not?" I crossed my arms and raised an eyebrow. All three of the older males looked at me in shock. "AHAHAHA! WAKATOSHI! YOU JUST GOT TOLD BY A FIRST YEAR! NOT ONLY A FIRST YEAR, BUT A GIRL! HAHAHAHAHA!" Tendo was now clutching his stomach laughing hysterically with tears in his eyes. Once he calmed down, he looked at me with sparkles in his eyes. "I'll speak for Wakatoshi, you're in! Sign your name on this sheet! It's actually our sign-in sheet and not our sign-up sheet since we had try-outs during the summer." You signed the paper in your neatest handwriting and turned around. You faced the volleyball captain and smiled. "I never got your full name." He stared down at you with a stoic expression. "Ushijima Wakatoshi." "Well, Ushijima-senpai, Tendo-senpai, Semi-senpai, I'll see you guys in the gym after school for today's practice. Please tell the coach about me. Bye bye~!" I walked off to find my classroom and left the three boys impressed. "Damn... Eita you never said the cute girl was so feisty." Tendo said, laughing a bit. "I didn't know! Geez, when I met her at the store, she was very polite. And would you stop calling her 'cute girl,' she has a name." Semi sighed in a frustrating manner. "Sorry sorry~ can't a guy tell the truth?"

I wanted to talk about my uploading schedule, for now, I plan on posting everyday at any time from 11:00pm to 4:00am EST. I'm currently on summer vacation and have a TERRIBLE sleeping schedule 😅 writing makes me feel inspired which keeps me up.
