5. No Worries

This morning I felt better than ever and I decided to make breakfast. It's been a week since the video shoot and my social media has been going crazy. Everyone is reposting the videos from class and my followers have sky rocketed. My depression is slowly fading but it still attacks me every now and then. Although slowly but surely, it is fading. After my class, I ended up making really good friends with Somiyah. She's funny and cool as shit. Turns out she knew Seymour too because him and her boyfriend Phor grew up together. Mrs. Anderson let me start teaching officially every week which is great because that means I'll be making extra money. It also means I get to see Seymour. Speaking of Seymour, I guess you can say we're "talking" because we're on facetime almost every night and be up for hours just talking. We usually just talk business but the conversations tend to wonder off into other topics. The other night on the phone, he asked me out and tonight we're going on our first date. I've literally only been on 2 dates my entire life and both guys stopped talking to me because me being "virgin mary" turned them off. I prayed that tonight Seymour can look pass that and actually give me a chance instead of just trying to fuck.

"Good morning dear." I turned around to see my mom coming in the kitchen and fixing her a plate.

"Hi momma, how did you sleep?" I said pouring her orange juice.

"Good..good, and you?"

"Great." I said pulling the chair out and sitting down.

"Mhmm I can see.." she said grinning from my happy demeanor. "Got any plans tonight?" She cut into her pancakes.

"Umm yes. I'm actually going on a date."
My mom looked at me with raised eyebrows as she remembers how long it's been since I've been on a date.

"Wow. Well you have fun and be careful okay?

"Okay." I said heading upstairs.

"Hey Laeyana!"

"Yes?" I said turning back around into the kitchen.

"Whatever happens tonight, don't blame yourself. If plans go left or if something hits the fan. Do not blame yourself you hear me? You're human."

I nodded my head agreeing with my mom.

"Okay, I won't."

I went upstairs to get ready to go to the mall with a few girls I made friends with from my dance class. After I got ready, I walked back downstairs to grab my purse and was out the door.

"Aye man that bitch teeth was fucked but she hit me with that gawk gawk." The men of the shop bust out laughing.

I was at Phor's shop getting my hair cut before I went out with Laeyana tonight. I sat there chillin while the other guys talked amongst themselves. I don't know why, but I was kind of nervous for tonight. I mean yea I done chilled with other females, but not like this. This felt different from some reason. I'm so glad I started filming her dance classes because since then, my production business grew larger. I've been getting tons of emails from new clients because they loved how I edited the dance video. Damn, starting to feel like this girl may be a blessing.

"Preciate it man." I said stepping out the chair and paying my barber. "See y'all later." I said before leaving."

"Take it easy Sey." The guys said back.

I left out the shop and headed to my car when my phone rang. I pulled it out my pocket and looked at the caller ID to see it was my little sis Skylar calling.
