Lily made her way up north with only her gut instinct leading the way. She ran for hours with no end in mind. But when the sun started to set, she was tempted to find shelter until something caught her eyes.
There was a light. Lily walked carefully towards it, she didn’t want to trigger and traps that may have been left.

She was near the light and she looked up at it in awe. Her dull gray eyes shined with the reflection. Her gaze was trapped by the mesmerizing light. She was like a moth drawn to a flame.

*WHACK*

Something hit her in the back of the head. Before she had time to comprehend what happened, she already slipped out of consciousness.

When she finally woke up, she blinked her eyes and tried to remember what had happened. I was staring at the-, she paused her thought as she looked up and saw that the light was no longer there. She looked around and scanned the area. It didn't take her long to figure out she wasn’t inside anymore, she was in a room. How’d I get here? More importantly, how will I get out? She freaked out.
And as if on cue, a door began to open and Lily snapped out of her thoughts and put her attention on the doorknob that someone began to turn.
Lily braced herself for darting out, it was easy because she was still in her wolf form.
When the door opened, there was a woman who greeted Lily.

“Hello,” She gasped as she laid eyes on Lily’s white fur. “My name is Alaina, I’m the alpha of Black Gibbous. I'm sorry about what happened earlier, Thomas is new about being part of the watchdogs, he kind of freaked out when he saw you and panicked.”
For some reason, Lily felt comfortable around the woman and shifted back to her original form.

“Umm, wait, what?” Lily asked confused. For two reasons. “What happened? I don't remember”

“Oh,” Alaina looked at Lily with concern. “When he saw you coming close, he panicked and grabbed a big stick and hit you with it. Again, I'm sorry and take full responsibility”
Alaina apologetically bowed to Lily, hoping for forgiveness. That's weird, why is the alpha bowing to ME?  W-wait, alpha? But she’s a, well, she.

“Excuse me, you said you were the alpha?” The alpha in question straightened up and nodded. “So, I don't mean to be rude, but how are you the alpha”

“Well, I'm guessing you mean how is a female the alpha?” She asked and was met with Lily nodding shyly. “We’re not what you'd call a normal pack.”

“How so?” Lily responded curiously.

“Well for starters, wait let me show you.” Alaina walked towards the door but stopped under the doorframe and held out her hand for Lily. “I never got your name, did I?”

“Lily” Lily said while taking the female alpha’s hand and let herself be led by Alaina.

Lily looked around in awe as she saw beautiful lights, similar to the one she saw earlier. Alaina looked back at Lily to make sure she was okay with the speed she was dragging her at and noticed Lily looking at the stones.
“Moonstones,” Alaina said and snapped Lily out of her trance.
“What?” Lily asked, confused.
“The stones, they're moonstones.”
“They're really beautiful”
“Yeah, especially on a night like this. They reflect the moonlight, so it's especially pretty on a full moon like tonight.”
Lily was confused, once again, because they didn't look like gemstones. They looked bright, not like they were just reflecting like. It was almost like they were small balls of light.
“There’s an old legend that said moonstones were a gift from the moon goddess. Rumor has it that those blessed by her are able to see the power of the moon in the moonstones.”
See the power? Is that what the light is? But how can I see it?

Lily and Alaina were walking and Lily was looking at the sights while Alaina was looking amused by Lily’s reactions.
They got to their destination fairly quickly considering Lily took her time taking in the beauty and Alaina took detours to ensure Lily got to see all the land had to offer.
“Your destination is on your right,” Alaina said in a monotone voice.
“What?” Lily asked and turned to see Alaina laughing.
“I’m sorry, I’ve always wanted to say that.”
“Why?”
“Don’t know, anyways, this is what I wanted to show you?” Alaina said proudly as she raised her hand in the direction of a massive out. “This is the Omega Home”
“The what?” Lily, the oh so confused girl, asked.
“The Omega Home. Most packs have Pack Houses, we don’t. We turned it into the Omega Home.”
“Why?”
“Well, Petal,” Lily blushed at the nickname. “When I was a baby, my grandma died, she was the omega at the time. My dad got mad and trained to be stronger when the alpha was asleep. He was the omega but got stronger and one day won a fight with the alpha, therefore he became the alpha. Because he was from an omega family, he knew how mistreated they were. So he created the Omega Home. A place where omegas can retire and live peacefully. Omegas are respected for their duty. In this pack, men, women and children alike are taught about the role the omegas have. And after they retire and have fulfilled their role in the pack, they live here and are honored. The retired omegas are considered to be the top-ranked wolves in the pack, but they have to earn it.”

“Wow,” Lily said dumbfounded
“Yeah, it’s really special. But this place also serves as a home for refugees and people who needed to escape their pack, like you. But if you want, you can stay with me.” Alaina offered, but lily kindly shook her head.
“That’s kind of you, but I’d like to stay here and talk with some of the people there. Besides, I wouldn’t want to be given any special treatment” Lily denied politely. Why is she giving me special treatment? Does she offer every rouge this or is it because of another reason. Maybe it’s because she’s guilty that ‘Thomas’ knocked me out. Yeah, that’s why.

“O-oh okay,” the alpha smiled. “I’ll see you in the morning. Goodnight!”
