Mated to the Twin Alphas [On Hold]

Chapter Seven

The next morning, Lily woke up and took a deep breath as she recalled what happened the night before.  

I was heading north to get to the Black Gibbous, there was a light and I got knocked out by Thomas, who I have yet to meet. I was knocked out for a couple of hours and when I woke up the moon was already up. I met the alpha and she showed me to the Omega Home and then I found a room to sleep in. I slept and then woke up and that’s it

She finished her story in her mind and gave an assertive nod to no one, confirming that she understood what happened.

*knock knock*

She heard knocking at the door and walked towards the sound that broke the morning silence. She put on her best smile and opened the door.
“Good morning!” The person greeted before lily had time to register who it was. To her shock, it was Alpha Alaina.
“Good morning, Alaina”
“I thought I’d show you around, let you meet the people the people. Besides, it’s time for breakfast at the Watering Hole, so come on!”

Lily just followed Alaina without saying anything, or more specifically, without asking Alaina what she meant. She came to the realization that she would never understand what the quirky alpha was talking about.

“Hey, do you mind if I ask you something?” Alaina asked Lily cautiously and she nodded. “Why did you escape Blood Moon?”
“How did you know I came from there?”
“Thomas said you were coming from the south, so I assumed”
“Oh. Well, actually, I was a rogue and stumbled in their territory and tried to run away when everyone was sleeping. I was actually from the Silver Crescent.”
“Why’d you leave?”
“I was the omega.”
“Oh, now I understand. They’re not exactly known for being kind to their omegas. But I have a feeling there’s something more than that.” Lily nodded. Her eyes started to water and tears threatened to spill as she remembered the reason she tried to escape. Alaina noticed this and put her hand on Lily’s back, rubbing comforting circles.
“You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to.”
“No, it’s fine. I- the reason I escaped was because I- I’m pregnant.” Lily spoke and tried to sound like she wasn’t about to cry, but Alaina saw through that and left it alone. She knew there was more to the story, she also knew that Lily would tell her when she’s ready, so she didn’t push it.

“How far along are you, if I may ask?” Alaina asked curiously, but still respectfully. Lily looked down at her stomach, put her hands on it and smiled.
“About three weeks, now” lily responded. Alaina and Lily kept walking and lily never stopped grinning while looking at her bundle of cells growing inside of her. Alaina couldn’t stop smiling either, for some reason it made her happy seeing Lily so happy.

To Lily’s surprise, when they arrived at their destination, there was an actual watering hole where people were gathered. Alaina quickly broke the silence, she never was one known for being quiet.

“Every Saturday morning, we have a pack picnic, try saying that ten times fast. Pack picnic, pack picnic, pack picnak, pack pacnack-” She cleared her throat. “Sorry, anyways, we have a group gathering around the pond every week. And because it was today, I thought it would be a good time to introduce you to everyone. Perfect timing, huh?”
Lily smiled bashfully. Lily was shy but she let Alaina introduce her to a bunch of people.

Eventually they walked towards a group of well-built members.
“This is the protectors of our pack. I wouldn’t say soldiers, because we don’t go looking for war, but they work together to ensure the safety and peace of our pack.” She explained confusingly. Lily noticed, when looking at the protectors, one of them looked shocked to see her, but maybe it was just her imagination. But just as the look of surprise appeared, it disappeared. She noticed it was a man, maybe around her age. He wasn’t as built as the other protectors (even the females), but instead he was more lean.
There’s something about him, I don’t know what it is.
His once confused face was now one filled with mystery. He wore a smirk and had dark brown eyes that practically screamed warning. His face was perfectly masked and no one could tell what he was thinking. But despite that, Lily felt a soft spot in her heart for the mysterious stranger, even though she just saw him.
Alaina started to introduce them and Lily pulled her attention towards what she was saying.
“This is Thomas,” Alaina introduced. “He’s the newest member.”
“Sorry about yesterday,” Thomas said sincerely
“It’s okay.”
Alaina continued to introduce the protectors until it was time to introduce the man that Lily was curious about.
“And this,” She said proudly as the put her arm around the skinny man’s shoulders. “is Kai.”
