LUKE
"Hey man!" Richard; my pal, greeted me as I entered the gates of St. Andres Academy. It's the first day of class from our summer vacation and students are excited to go back to class. Of course to see their friends and to see... ME!
Those kids whose excited to go back to school to study are the people whose not cool, and are people whose very, very, very boring.
"Nerds." I whispered to myself as I passed by a group of geeks studying in a corner.
"Aaaaaah! It's Luke Santiago!" I heard a group of girls squeaked. Just in a blink of an eye a lot of girls are already surrounding me.
"I'm sorry guys, I have errands to do. Its first day I don't want to be late for first period." I gave them a smirk. And hear them squeak once again.
"Bye Luke!"
"Bye." I threw them a wave and could hear them giggle. Sometimes girls cannot hide their fandom over me. Of course, I'm like the "Daniel Padilla" of the campus. Every girl is running after me. But that's that. I don't like involving myself in a lasting relationship because of what happened. That's why there's no relationship that lasts when I'm the one you choose.
I entered the classroom and trying to look for a seat but all seats are occupied. I took a long glance and saw Josh waving at me,
"I saved you a seat Luke!" he yelled across the room.
"Thanks." I mouthed.
Few minutes later, the bell had rung and students are filling up the room fast.
"Good morning, students!" I-don't-know-who-but-it-looks-like-our-class-adviser greeted with a huge smile plastered on his face.
"Good morning, Sir!" we all greeted as well.
"Welcome back to school, Seniors! How was your summer vacation?" Students are starting to murmur.
"It was great."
"It was awful."
"It was boring."
"How was yours Mister?" he eyed me from head-to-toe and he looks like he was expecting some answer from me. I stood up and said,
"Santiago. It's Luke Santiago." After I said my name girls started squealing. So, I came up with an idea. "Well, my summer's kinda fine actually. Nothing exciting had happen, just those typical stuffs kids do during the summer. Like, Skydiving, party all night, getting drunk, one-night stand with loads of chicks, throw a party, and more." I said with a smirk. And I saw one girl merely fainted.
"Arrogant it is Mr. Santiago. Have a seat." He said as he passed by me.
"Now class, where are my manners?" he asked. "I'm Mr. Trevor Chiu. And I will be handling your class for the rest of the year." He added as he introduced himself.
"Now I'm new here, I don't know any of you so please introduce yourselves." He said while glancing around the room. "Let's start from that side of the room." He pointed to a girl on the left corner.
"My name is, Eleanor Rose Vigars, fifteen years old and I love to play Dota."
"I'm Tom Uy and I play soccer." He said while smirking.
"I'm Dakota Johnsons and I play soccer as well."
"I'm Richard Sy, fifteen years old and I play basketball."
"I'm Josh Lee and I'm a swimmer but I also play basketball."
It was my turn I stood up and I could hear girls giggling like they're being tickled with a feather. "Girls" I thought to myself. I let out a sigh and confidence took over me.
"I'm Luke Peter Santiago, known as the Daniel Padilla of the school. I'm sixteen years young. I'm the team captain of the basketball varsity's team. Its YOLO man!" I smirked. I don't know why but I just love smirking. After few minutes of introduction and stuffs, the principal barged in and had said,
"Can I talk to you Mr. Chiu?"
"Sure." Mr. Chiu casually said. And they both proceeded outside to have some "talk". Several minutes later Mr. Chiu came back with a weird looking girl who was looking on the floor wearing a sky blue hoody and a pair of jeans, paired with blue Converse. You can't really see her face clearly because she had a huge square-rimmed glasses on and her hair wasn't tied up.
"Okay class, settle down. Here with me is an exchange student from New York and she is going study here at St. Andres Academy." Mr. Chiu said.
"Wow, she's from New York. I bet she's another chick, don't you think?" Josh said while nudging my arm. I didn't answer for a while. This girl seems so familiar. Have I met her before? Instead I just answered Josh.
"I bet she won't click, bro."
"Huh?" Josh asked looking blank. I couldn't concentrate on answering him because this girl keeps bugging my mind.
"Please introduce yourself and where you're from miss." Mr. Chiu said as he motioned his hand towards the center. She slowly walked to the center and introduced herself.
"I'm Nicole Stephanie Adanarg, I'm an exchange student from New York Academy Of Performing Arts. I'm fifteen years young and I love to study and play basketball as well."
Stephanie Adanarg? She has the same name as someone I know. But I just couldn't point it out.
