NICOLE
"I'm Meghan Santiago. I'm Luke's sister but completely the opposite of him." Meghan introduced herself with a smile plastered on her face.
"I'm Nicole Stephanie Adanarg, I'm kinda new here so I really don't know the nature of the people here yet." I reticently said.
"It's okay, don't worry about it. I'm sorry about Richard earlier and about the behavior of my brother." She gave me a penitential smile.
"Oh, him. Naaah, it's okay." She just waved it off. "it's a good thing that you're way different from him. No offense, but he really is such a cavalier, and knavish, and mercenary." I rolled my eyes. "but he looks familiar to me." I added, Meghan just burst out in laughter.
"Are you a senior too, Meghan?" I asked, crossing my fingers and hoping that she would say yes. I don't know how to handle his brother if she's not with me.
"No, I'm not. I'm a junior." She said. My smile suddenly turned to a frown.
"You're gonna be alright. I'm just in the other room." She smiled for reassurance. Right in this very moment I felt that we're going to be great friends.
Moments had passed and lunch break had come to an end. We went back to our classroom and seated for a while before the next teacher will arrive. Richard sat on the vacant chair beside me, and started interrogating me.
"So, since what age did you live in New York?" he wiggled his eyebrows.
"Since I was thirteen." I answered.
"So, what makes you go back here?"
"I don't know, its maybe because my parents want me to graduate in their Alma Mater. I actually miss New York right now. I had a lot of friends and I'm actually used to the environment there. Plus, I get to be a somebody." I answered. I genuinely started to feel comfortable with this guy.
"Why did you go to New York in the first place?"
I had a hard time answering that question. It's because I can't really remember. Last time I checked I just woke up in our room in our apartment in New York.
"I don't remember." I stated. He raised his eyebrows at me.
"What do you mean you don't remember?" he asked, he tilted his head slightly to the side.
"I -" i was interrupted when the teacher for the next period came in.
"Okay, class, settle down. I'm Miss Jenny Sy and I will be teaching Physics." She smiled while glancing around the room.
"Hey, we have the same family name. maybe we're related." Richard muttered. I just nodded in agreement then looked at miss Jenny again. Unintentionally, I caught Luke at the corner of my eye. He was texting under his table. He looks so... frustrated. Maybe he had a fight with his girlfriend. I don't actually get the girls why they chase Luke. He's arrogant, broody, a douche, an asshole, he's also moody and rude. Maybe, because of fame? Well, he is the heartthrob of the school, but then again girls deserve way better than him.
