NICOLE

"Nicole, wait up!" I halted as I heard somebody calling. I turned around and saw Meghan running towards me.

"Hi, glad I caught you." She said while catching her breath.

"Why, what's wrong?" I asked.

"Nothing, I was just gonna ask about what happened today." She smiled. Well, I guess that she's willing to hear.

"Nothing much, actually. It's just that... Richard was interrogating me earlier. And he said that our Physics' teacher looks pretty because they have the same family name." she laughed really hard.

"Ugh, that guy, never really changed since we were kids." She commented.

"C'mon, I'll introduce you to my other friends." She added. With that, she took my hand and then dragged me all the way to the girls' locker room.

"What sport do they play?" I asked as we entered the room.

"Volley ball. Do you play?"

"Volley ball? No, I play basketball. Someone taught me once but I can't remember who, exactly."

"My brother is good at that." She giggled. "I didn't mean to brag." She added.

"It's okay, don't worry." I smiled. She smiled back.

"Hi, Meghan!" A girl wearing a tank top and jersey shorts which labeled number 22 greeted.

"Is she a new member of the team?" The other girl asked.

"She looks like she has potential, she's tall, fit, pretty, and she has a good posture." A girl with jersey number 05 commented.

"No, no. guys, I want you to meet a new friend, Nicole Adanarg." I held out my hand as Meghan introduced me to them.

"This is Danielle," she pointed to the girl with jersey number 22.

"Kate," the girl with jersey number 05,

"Shayne," the girl wearing a t-shirt and a jersey short labeled with 07,

"Janella," the one with number 17 on her jersey.

"And lastly, Lexie." she pointed to the girl with jersey number 03. They all smiled at me and asked me 'how was my first day'.

"Meghan, you go and change now before coach will get mad at us again." Kate said as she motioned Meghan to change. Meghan smiled and said,

"I'll be right back."

"Bye!" we all said in unison.

"Do you play volley ball, Nicole?" Danielle asked as she dribbled the ball.

"No, I don't. I know how to, but I'm not that good." I stated watching them while doing the warm ups.

"So, what do you play?" Janella asked.

"I play basketball." I proudly said, "Although, I don't think that I should join the girls' varsity team." I looked at my hands.

"Why? I think you should." Meghan remarked. Crap, she just scared me. It's like she just pooped out of nowhere.

"Yeah, I think you should join too." But it would be better if you joined the volley ball team." Lexie thwarted.

"Well, I'll just think about it." I gave them a big smile.
