NICOLE
I got home around six o’clock and found my two brothers waiting for me outside. Something tells me that they didn’t seem happy.
“There she is,” Adrian, my second older brother, whispered as he elbowed David, my eldest brother. They both stood up and eyed me head-to-toe.
“Where were you, do you even know what time it is?” David notified.
“We were worried sick about you. Why didn’t you call or even texted us? We thought you got kidnapped or something.” Adrian scolded. Jeez mother fucker, they over-act too much. I know that they’re just protecting me and worried about me but they don’t have to take it too seriously. I’m not a baby anymore, I’m fifteen!
I rolled my eyes in annoyance. “Sheesh guys, it’s just 6 PM. You guys, act like it’s already twelve.”
“But, you’re our baby sister. We don’t want you to get hurt. Next time, just text or call us if you’re running late so that we can fetch you.” David stated. I on the other hand was trying to reprehend,
“Ahia,”
“Period, no erase.” He declared. I playfully rolled my eyes then threw my hands up in air as sign of defeat.
“I forfeit.”
“Good, let’s go inside.” He remarked, I nodded in agreement and we proceeded inside.
“Mom, dad, Stephanie’s home!” David shrieked across the room.
“How was your day, honey?” my mom asked as she climbs down the stairs.
“School’s cool, mom.” I said as I perched on the couch. “I made new friends and I – AAAH!” I was talking about my day when Adrian dawned to tickle my sides.
“You made new friends, huh?” Adrian said as he tickles me. I couldn’t stop laughing. “Did you met a new guy and had a crush on him?” he said as he continued to tickle me. With that I accidentally slapped him in the face. Startled by my sudden move, I immediately apologize.
“I’m sorry, kuya.” I said smiling apologetically.
“It’s okay, steph. I forgot you’re already a lady.” He said as he gave me a sheepish smile, then he left.
I went upstairs to my room feeling sullen and all. I plopped down my bed and began to think about the random stuffs that happened today.
I was so upset of myself.it wasn’t in my intention to slap him, I was just annoyed. I took a deep breath, and then let out a sigh.
Minutes later, Meghan texted me.
MEGHAN: Nicole! Will u join volleyball? J
ME: Oh ya! 4got about dat. I’m still thinking about it.
MEGHAN: Ok. ^_^
I planted my phone on my beside table afterwards. I stared at the ceiling thinking about joining the team.
“Should I?” I asked myself. I kept foreseeing about if I join the volleyball team, there’d be no use because I’m not really that good. I just know. That’s all, but if I join the basketball team, there would be a possibility that it would be my stepping stone to college.
After gathering the advantages and disadvantages about the two teams, I unanticipatedly remember Luke. I can’t forget his face when he slammed his phone to the table then regretted it. He’s being bi-polar. But to think of him, he’s cute in a way. You just can’t see it in person.
What? Did I say he’s cute?! What the hell?!
