"You do realize that I gave you a very specific set of rules around Adelisa and you mean to tell me that you let her out of the house?! The most important rule I gave you and I told to never, under any circumstances, break?"
"I do, Luna."
"Do you realize what Leonardo is going to do?"
"Of course, Luna."
"Then what's going to happen when Colin gets here, hmm? The gods agreed to this under one condition. He's not supposed to meet her for another year and a half—"
"For fuck's sake she's 20 already!" Avyanna grit. "You know what most girls now days are doing at her age? She can handle it. And I'm sure you've kissed the other god's asses long enough to get by with this small misstep."
The girl walked into the kitchen, noticing the odd woman talking to her aunt.
"Luna?" Grace's small voice asked.
The goddess turned around to look at her. "Hi, darling."
"Did you say Colin?"
The woman nodded in response.
"Who is he?"
******
Colin watched as his gamma walked across the training fields, observing the warriors closely. Colin watched them even closer, scrutinizing them harshly and picking up every little mistake. "Gamma Davis," Colin called when he was in ear shot.
"Yes, Alpha Hendrix?" He asked, confused.
"Why is it they all hold their left leg out like that? That's a major weakness that can be heavily exploited and a hard habit to break. Tell me, I've had nothing but trouble from you. My warriors have never been in worse condition since you've become gamma."
He said nothing.
"I expect answers, Davis."
The Gamma looked off. "I've heard a lot of complaining. Many warriors have been saying that their wolves crave a Luna..."
Colin growled, "a Luna doesn't fucking matter. They're wolves can long for one whole-heartedly, but you need to fix these habits."
"Alpha—"
"You're their superior. Don't make me start training them myself. They'll hate you for it."
Colin stormed off, hatred flowing through his veins for the ignorant gamma.
The Healer Beta stopped him. "Alpha Hendrix, Alpha Hessi requests to see you in his office."
Colin nodded and walked to the healer's portion of the pack land.
A soft voice resonated within his ears, haunting him. "I miss you... I've waited to see you for so long...
"My heart aches for you."
A headache formed between his temples, agitation forming in his gut.
"Alpha Hendrix." Colin snapped from his thoughts, his eyes landing on the other Alpha.
"Hessi."
