The rooms demeanor changed when their year was mentioned. Once realization hit, Bart stumbled back, he feared he wasn't ever going to see either of his parents or his family again. Thad was completely unfazed by this information, unlike Bart. He had no family, the only person he semi-cared about was five feet in front of him and on the verge of having a panic attack.

Iris's motherly instincts kicked in and she was on the floor with the speedster doing her best to calm him down and reassure him that they were going to do everything in their power to help them get back home. They all thought it was weird how Inertia was unfazed by this, they would have thought he would have been upset about it. But he wasn't, he just stood there with a blank stare.

Thad pulled himself out of the blank stare and took one look at Bart. He saw the tears streaming down his face and he felt something twitch inside his chest. What was this new feeling? He'd never felt this before, it scared him. He was never exposed to this emotion, just fear, anger, hatred, and disappointment.

Looking around the room, a few tears slid down his face. Then he did the one thing he only knew how to do; he ran. He ran straight to the lounge ended up squeezing himself into a corner. It took everyone a good thirty minutes to find him but when they did, he wouldn't move or talk. Not even to Bart. He stayed in the same position, his mind racing and trying to figure everything out.

So that's when they brought in Cecile. Bart had calmed down but when Thad wouldn't even move or speak they became worried. Cecile was Iris's, dad's girlfriend. While being pregnant with her baby she had been given metahuman ability to read minds and they haven't left so she'd be brought in to help with certain cases.

Right, when Cecile entered the building she could sense the two speedsters. One was sad while the other was confused and scared. She walked into the lounge and her head instantly snapped in Thad's direction. His emotions were far stronger than Bart's. She made her way over to him and sits in front of him, he doesn't even acknowledge her presence until he feels her in his head; trying to read his thoughts. But he was thinking to fast, she only got parts of it.

Being a DA, meant she was smart. But when she started working with Barry and Joe she knew how to put things together, "You know, it's okay to be scared of things you don't understand."

He looks up at her and hesitantly asks, "But how do you understand them?"

"Well, usually your friends and your family can help you with these types of things." She answers giving him a warm smile.

Thad looks back down at the ground, he doesn't have anyone. Cecile interjects, "Well I'm sure that guy over there-" She points Bart who uses his super speed to turn away from them, not wanting to be caught by the two, "would be more than happy to help you."

Thad nods and Cecile gets up of the floor and then heads to the cortex where everyone was waiting for her. "So what all did you find out?"

"Is he okay?" Caitlin asks concerned for the boys' state of mind.

"He'll be okay. I only got bits and pieces but I will tell you this. He's not very trusting, he's skittish, he's had bad experiences and he's confused and he's scared." Cecile tells them sadness in her voice as she speaks about Thad.

Back in the lounge, Thad used his super speed to sit next to Bart on the couch. He sat closer to the end while Bart sat near the middle. "I felt something earlier...while you were crying. I don't understand what it was...but I-I...wanted to make you feel better and that scared me..."

Bart knew some of Thad's history, that he was only taught to hate him and be his opposite the reverse Impulse. So he figured he knew nothing else but hate and fear. He even ran off when he witnessed the mentoring bond he and Max had shared. So he understood why Thad was so confused about his feelings. "It's alright Thad, that's compassion you're feeling."

"How do you make someone feel better?" Thad asks, curious as to what to do for future references. He wanted to learn.

"Well, you can say comforting things or hug the person." Bart replies moving a piece of hair behind his ear. He could tell Thad was confused as to what Bart was meaning so Bart leaned over and wrapped his arms around him and pulled Thad closer to him.

Thad's body tenses at the sudden contact of another person touching him. He slowly eased into the hug, wrapping his arms around Bart, mimicking him. He liked the softness of it. He was always so used to rough touches or beatings, this was different. After a good minute and a half, they pulled away from each other. It was something they both needed, especially from each other.

"Do you want to find something to do?" Bart asks as he gets up from the couch. He was growing bored by the second and needed something to do.

"Sure, but what can we do?" Thad asks getting up to meet him, "The probably aren't going to let us leave because it would be hard to explain to every one of two knew speedsters."

Bart nods and then starts to think of a way they could do something without getting in trouble, "Well it couldn't hurt to ask them if we could help them with their bad guys."

They head up to the cortex and everyone goes quiet, they didn't know what emotional state either of them was in and didn't want to hurt them. "We were wondering if there were any of meta cases we could help you with?"

"Have you guys ever heard of Cicada?" Caitlin asks as she pulls up his file on the tv.

"Yeah, he was a meta-human serial killer. He was caught by Team Flash in the year 2020. His spree only lasted a few days, he didn't have powers." Bart replies remember everything that was in the Flash Museum.

Thad looked over their board and asked, "Have you found any weakness?"

"Killer Frost has been our weapon against him, if we get close to him we lose our powers." Nora tells them, she tries to keep a positive attitude, knowing all too well what Cicadas' capable of.

Being with Eaobard was anything but a good experience but he did learn a few things. He learned how to fight, up close and from afar, and he learned how to study an enemy and take them down, except he kept failing at that part.

Maybe fighting from afar could help them.

"Maybe there is a range where you could use your powers to fight him and stay at a safe distance." Thad replies, "Based on your evidence the dagger is meta-proof, not the man. If we all hit him at once we could take him down."

Team Flash looked at him in shocked, this boy who could be no older than 16 just told them a plan and he hasn't even been there a day. He just did something they couldn't for months.

Little did they know he and Bart would continue to shock them.
