[ Six ]

Thad did as commanded and began running, he did a bunch of zigzags trying to lose the deranged speedster but nothing availed. The speedster with yellow lightning chased him.

He threw everything he could in his wake, trying to get the speedster chasing him to leave him alone. But as usual, nothing worked. He knew he needed Bart but he was very reluctant to go. He knew that wouldn't end well if he was caught. But he figured he'd take the risk.

Turing in the direction of Star Labs he kicks it in high gear, running as fast as he can to the cortex. He managed to get there before his "brother". "Everyone to the middle of the room!"

He was out breath but he was able to get out that message. Bart went to ask him why but Thad's "brother" was faster. In a flash of yellow and white light, Thad was pinned up against the wall of the cortex, a hand around his neck, his feet hanging a few inches off the ground. Bart was going to rush in and fight him but he's stopped, "Make a move Flash brat and I'll put a hand through his chest."

Thad looked at Bart with a mixture of fear and anger in his eyes. The look gave Bart hope that Thad would get himself out of this mess. His "brother" releases some of the pressure on his neck allowing him very little oxygen. "How..."

"I'm here because Dad wants his property back and he gave me the task of finding you. But he didn't say I had to bring you back alive, twerp." The pressure is applied back to Thad's throat as the kid is moved up higher on the wall.

Bart knew he needed to provide a distraction so he pulled out his wild card. He closed his eyes and began to concentrate on vibrating. Caitlin and Cisco stood and watched in awe as multiple copies of Bart sprung from his spot, running in different directions. Lightning danced around the room causing Thad's "brother" to turn around and look at duplicates causing his grip to loosen.

Thad used all the strength he could muster and slammed his clenched fist down on his "brothers" arm causing him to let go of him. He slides to the ground and he begins to take off his shoe and the shoestring that lies inside. In his last bit of consciousness, he begins to tie it his brother's leg. Once he does that he infuses it with speed force. His brother takes notice and hightails it out of the cortex.

Caitlin, Bart, and Cisco go running over to injured speedster and their faces are the last thing he sees before darkness consumes him.

Bart gently lifts up the speedster and looks to Caitlin, "What do we do?!"

"Cait you and Impulse take him to the med bay, I'll call the team and tell them what happened." Cisco tells them.

Bart carefully lifts the damaged boy up off the ground and the two made a b-line for the med bay, getting there in a few minutes. As soon as Bart gets in the med bay he lays Thad down on the bed. There wasn't any permeant damage done to his neck and his speed healing was already kicking in. Caitlin hooked him up to the monitor and oxygen since his levels were so low.

Cisco comes in after he called the team and sits with Bart after Caitlin explains what's going on. Bart hasn't moved an inch since Thad was hooked up. He couldn't leave him alone, he felt like it was his job to stay here with him. Like his family did he when he'd get injured.

When everyone else arrived Thad still hadn't woken up. The room was filled with the whole team flash and Nora. A few hours had passed and his speed healing had completely taken care of all his injuries, Caitlin removed Thad's brace but kept the oxygen. His levels still worried her.

Static began to cling in the air, the familiar feeling of kinetic energy filled the room. Thad sat up and started to breathe heavy, his body began to vibrate. In a flash, Bart jumped behind him and pressed his own body against his. Bart began to vibrate as fast as Thad in an attempt to calm down the scared speedster. As each second passes their molecules begin to slow down and when they stop vibrating Bart doesn't let go of Thad.

In the midst of the freakout, Thad had managed to get the cords tying him to the machines off. But no one really cared they just wanted to know if the small speedster was okay. Thad's breathing starting to calm down some but he couldn't stop the tears from falling down his face. In that moment they could see how broken the boy in front of them was. They truly saw him, he was a victim.

Thad grabbed ahold of Bart's arms, squeezing them closer to him. Accepting the warmth the boy behind was giving off. In an attempt to console Thad, Bart began to whisper things into the smaller boy's ear. Thad's whole infrastructure came crashing down around him, he was nothing. He thought he had some sort of value to his handler but now..he knew that wasn't the case. He was disposable, his "brother" coming here proved that.

Once everyone had calmed down Caitlin checked out Thad and made sure that everything was okay medically. After that the two speedsters from another earth huddled in the lounge, watching a funny sitcom that currently playing on tv. The team in the cortex needed answers, they were left in the dark about so much. Like who the two speedsters really were and who that guy was trying to kill Inertia.

And so they were going to get them.
