The Jump

When my eyes met his I never thought it would lead to a conversation and Nicole hiding behind me. He looks at his friends and tells them what I assume that he will be back, because before I know it he is walking towards Nicole and I. He was attractive, I have to admit. He was wearing a dark gray v-neck shirt and a pair of black ripped jeans. His hair was long and slightly wavy on the ends. He finally reached us and said "Hey I'm Jake." Nicole opens her mouth and I could have sworn her jaw was on the floor. "I'm Annie and this is Nicole." I smile.

He invites us over to meet his friends and I soon find out that he is a twin and was apart of the band that Nicole had shown me earlier. I try to keep a conversation but I just feel eyes digging into the back of my head. Nicole has already made herself at home talking to the drummer named Danny and the bass player Sam. The singer was working on his vocals, because they were about to shoot a video. Josh was really quiet compared to his twin, but the same child like glimmer in Jake's eyes was in Josh's. One thing I noticed was that Josh had this hint of curiosity. 

That day changed everything in Nicole and I's life forever. We all laughed and they shot the video also taking pictures along the way. Jake was always next to me and Sam basically drooled over my sister the whole time, sadly we all decided to part ways. Before we decided to go home we all exchanged numbers and said our goodbyes.

As soon as Nicole and I got into the car she calmly shut her door, looked at me and screamed. I could have sworn that I hit my head on the top of the car because it sacred the life out of me. Nicole started blaring Somebody to Love by Jefferson airplane. The car ride didn't last long and the second we pulled into the driveway she was out of the car and into the house. I turned off my car and sat reflecting on the day. What in the hell happened today and what kind of mess did I get myself into. 

My phone rings and I look down and Jake's name comes up. "Hello?' I said  "Hey Annie!" Jake's soft voice comes through the speakers. "Is everything okay?" I slightly tilt my head and smile at his over excitement. "Oh, yeah I was just wondering if you made it home okay and if you and your sister were busy tomorrow because my brothers and I are going to record." I smile at my lap playing with my keys. "We aren't busy just send me the address and a time, we will be there." I start to get out of the car and open my door. "Great! I'll see you tomorrow!" I can hear his smile through the phone. What did I just jump into?
