It had been a long time since she had last made a siphon brewer from chemistry equipment. Her desire for some strong coffee, after another sleepless night, was more then enough motivation to remember how to set it all up. She took pleasure in watching it brew and just allowed for time to pass her by for a little while.

Once the coffee was done, she poured it slowly into her mug, greedily breathing in the aroma. The smell brought back memories of when she would pull all nighters in the cybernetics lab. She used to love those moments; everyone would have long gone to bed, and she could work on her projects in peace and quiet.

Nova made her way towards the bio chamber, tentatively sipping the scalding coffee.

The white bio chamber stood upright against the wall, surrounded by wires and interface screens. The technology was top of the range and unusual to find this far out in space, but Rosalind had found a way to ship it here undetected. The glass panels to the chamber were currently covered in metal shutters. There were several reasons for this; it helped prevent any ultraviolet light shine on the developing tissue, but also hid what was inside if anyone happened to walk through.

Sitting down in the swivel chair in front of the main panel, Nova began to scroll through the various test results.

At first, everything seemed normal. The temperature of the bio tank was within acceptable levels, along with the fluid consistency. It seemed that the general functioning of the machine was performing at optimal levels.

Everything seemed to be running smoothly, until she got to the tissue growth results.

Briefly glancing over the data, she at first hadn't noticed the abnormality; the quality and type of tissue had been in line with Lupus organ and skin development. It was the volume of it that was shocking.

Nova ran a quick check to see if the result had been incorrect, but it once again came back the same.

"This doesn't make any sense..." She mumbled to herself, promptly taking a gulp of coffee before getting stuck in with her findings.

The DNA storage tank seemed to also be running low. It housed the matter needed to help promote tissue growth, and shouldn't have been at these levels until four months away.

It wasn't until she got to the 3D scan that she truly realised what was happening. In a flurry of movement, Nova pressed the controls for the shutters to rise.

Before her, in suspended animation, was an almost fully grown Lupus body.

With tentative steps, she walked closer, resting her fingertips against the warm glass. She was so close that her breath would cause little puffs of condensation on the surface.

There was no fur on the body yet, and parts of the arms and legs had yet to grow skin to cover the muscle tissue, but for all intents and purposes the body had almost completely grown. There was no no evidence of the cyborg chassis underneath, with the exception of the metallic tube connected to the back of the upper spin.

Nova shook herself a little bit. Mark had almost completely healed... The fact that he looked nothing alike to his android body was throwing her off a little.

She looked up in wonder, as several months of progress had apparently been made in a week, and she had absolutely no idea how.

Frantically, she turned to the main access panel, almost tripping over the edge of the chair in her haste. Her hands were shaking, and her heart beat against her chest, as she inputted a request for a brain scan.

A circular metal ring dropped down within the chamber, and with agonising slowness moved up and down around Mark's head. Nova held her breath as she awaited the results.
