As Brooke walked across the Ice orange light could be seen from underneath it.
"My feet are sweating." Brooke said to the other two
"Do we have to get a news flash every time your body does something?" Shira asked Brooke.
"Ignore her, she's only doin it for attention." Ellie told Shira.
"Seriously, my feet are really hot." Brooke said panicked now as she run across the ice shouting ow all the while.
More red stuff came from underneath the ice melting it. The cracking and rumbling of the Ice could be heard by Ellie and Shira as Brooke ran towards them.
"Please tell me that was your stomach." Ellie asked Brooke.
"I'm sure it was just thunder, from underground." Brooke said nervously.
A huge load of flames exploded from underground scattering the three mammals as they ran from it screaming. More bits of the ice exploded as fire rose.
The ice broke apart revealing a huge lave bit below. A bit of ice survived braking and lead to a clearance out of range from the lava bit however, before Shira could reach the other side a huge chunk broke in front of her preventing her way across.
Brooke ran but the ice was to slippery and she wasn't moving at all.
"Come on, keep up with me!" Brooke shouted.
"I would if you were moving!" Ellie shouted back at Brooke.
From the other side Shira jumped reaching the safe bit of Ice as the bit she was stuck on melted and fell into the pit below.
"Wow I wish I could jump like that." Brooke told Shira.
"Wish granted." Ellie said as she shoved Brooke sending her over the collapsing bit of ice they were stood on to the other side.
Brooke screamed as she flew threw the air and slid across the safe ice hitting her head on a rock in front of her.
Shira felt the Ice cracking beneath her paws.
"Come on move faster!" she shouted at Ellie.
"Have you noticed the river of lava?" Ellie questioned Shira.
Ellie looked at the baby who hid his face in Ellie's fur and jumped just making it to the other side before the Ice cracked leaving Shira stuck on the other side.
A huge plume of boiling hot smoke erupted from the lava pit temporarily blocking Shira's view to the other side. When it disappeared Shira jumped but was to short of the other side and missed it holding on to the end with her claws as she tried to get up.
Ellie turned and sew Shira struggling to get up and went back to her
"Hold pinky." Ellie told Brooke giving her the baby and going back to Shira.
Making her way carefully over the braking ice Ellie held out her trunk for Shira to grab with her paw but Ellie was just to short for Shira to reach and the ice she'd been holding onto broke and she fell. Before she hit the lave lake below Ellie was able to grab one of her paws and tried pulling Shira up however, her claws dug into her trunk and she winced and wasn't able to hold Shira much longer.
Ellie just manneged to get the strength to throw Shira over to the other side but before she could get there herself the ice broke beneath her and she fell along with the piece of Ice she's been standing on into the lake below.
"Ellie!" Brooke shouted.
A huge plume of more smoke erupted sending the piece of ice and Ellie into the air and she fell landing hard on the other side.
