B U N N Y
Upon waking, I find myself buried underneath Kat's body under the warm, soft sheets. I rubbed the remainders of sleep from my eyes and gaze upon her perfect, naked form, her skin glistening from the morning's glow.
I smile and placed a warm peck atop of her nose before crawling out of the bed—proceeding into the bathroom. It was a cloudy, cold morning so I decided on a grey hoodie, joggers, and vans. After brushing I washed my face and did my makeup. I left my hair down placing on my denim grey cap and my round sunglasses with clear lens.
Leaving the house at 5'thirty, I was on my way to Vilma's Breakfast House. I want to surprise Kathleen and apologize for how I acted the other day.
Arriving, I peaked through the glass door, pressing my face to the glass and cupping my hand around my eyes. Though it's early in the day the place is quite full.
Waiters dressed in white elegantly moved around the place, plates filled delights in their hands. From the marble tiled floor the red velvet draped and the beautiful glowing chandeliers, everything about the place screamed class.
And expensive.
The counter top were well polished, with not more than a bowl of mints on top. The display racks though were what caught my eye. A single glance would have left anyone's mouth waters. From the chocolate drizzled cakes to the sugar lace pastries, the blueberry muffins and steaming puffs, everything was a feast to the eyes.
Laughing at my childishness I pulled open the door standing behind two other customers in line.
"Hi!" She had a lovely, dulcet voice.
I look up from my phone to the young girl behind the counter. A smile flashed across her face from beneath reems of her black hair. It created slight dimples and creases that moved her freckles.
Haven't I seen her before?
"Hi," I say returning the smile.
"I'm Willow. You don't know me but we go to the same school."
"I thought I seen you before."
She releases a small giggle whilst pulling out her notepad. "What can I get for you?"
"Two orders of your breakfast specials, one hot fudge milkshake, and the other a vanilla."
"Give me a sec,"she smiles—vanishing into the kitchen. She later came back carrying a large bag and a cup holder with my drinks.
She repeats the order before handing it to me. "Anything else I can get you?"
"No this will be all. How much?"
"It's on the house,"she giggles placing in a twenty dollar bill into the register.
"You don't have to-"
"I want to." She focuses her glossy blue eyes onto mines. "Besides my Aunt owns this place."
"Well...thank you Willow." Her smile spreads by the fact that I remember her name.
She's too cute.
While in thought a message from Kathleen appears on my screen.
