B U N N Y
I yawn as I roll over, smushing my face into the pillow. I closed my eyes to the lullaby of the ocean, breathing in it's poigant salty breath. I smile back, today the breeze tells of only sweetness and joy. So I lay here - in bed - content, whole, happy.
I turn my head to the other side, immediately smiling at the sleeping beauty next to me. She's lying on her side, facing me. Strands of hair blows in her face from her soft breathing. I softly smile, placing the loose strands behind her ear. The gentle motion wakes her.
She blinks at me a couple of times, probably to adjust to the harsh light. She reaches her hand up and runs her fingers through my hair, smiling that beautiful smile of hers.
"Good morning,"she murmurs, her voice low and soft from just waking up.
"Good morning," I say back. I close my eyes for a moment, just soaking up the feeling of Kat stroking at my hair. It felt nice. "How did you sleep?"
She smiles and grabs my chin, pulling me forward to meet her lips. "Peacefully."
My heart flutters at her words and I still can't believe how happy they makes me feel. We lay there together for a short moment, enjoying each other's warmth and presence before a light knock on the door startles us.
Before we can think the door is slowly being pushed open, poking her head through.
"You know,"says Willow, creeping in. "you should probably lock this door if you two or going to be all cuddly."
I could feel the heat growing in my cheeks as I sit up. She's leaning against the door frame, a grin spread across her face as she looks at us.
"Did you need something?" Kat asks her, slightly pulling the blankets up to cover our half naked bodies more.
"I was just coming to let you girls know that some of us are going into town to buy some food and stuff,"she says. "Do either of you want to come?"
I glance over to Kat silently asking her what she wanted to do. She met my gaze and gave a slight shake of her head. I turn back to Willow, "No, we're going to stay here."
She shrugs her shoulder, "Okay, have fun."
I tell her goodbye and to not let the children get too wild at the store. She laughs, closing the door behind her.
"Want to go for a swim in the pool?"she asks me just after I laid back down and snuggled up against her. I grumble as I look over at her.
"Can't we just stay in bed a little longer?" I whine.
She smiles and slides out from under me. "Nope,"she tells me before pulling me out of bed.
"You're such a fucking turn on," I say looking down at her. I was hanging out on the edge of the pool, my hair pushed back into a bun, and a wicked grin stuck on my face as I study her attire, a black and white palm print ladder-cut bikini set.
She's currently swimming laps and dancing around in the water, offering me the best entertainment I could ever ask for.
She laughs and splashes water in my direction.
"Kathleen!"
"What's the point of going for a swim if you don't get in the water?" Her legs were kicking behind her lazily, long and tan under the clear water. She was such a natural swimmer, making it look so easy the way she was just gliding through the water.
