.seth.

Ohio sucked.

There really was only two things I was here for.

Dean and the wrestling.

And as he continued to 'yext' me, I stood in the mens locker room alongside Roman and another fellow from Iowa's wrestling brand by the name of Antonio Cesaro.

It was 1 hour until the show would start, where we would open with a tag match.

Usually, I wasn't nervous- hell I loved tag matches, I thought I did great in groups- but there was just the fact that someone would be watching.

Its the fact I'd finally see Dean, and oh, was that nerve wracking. Theres millions of thoughts swarming my head along the lines of would he like this? how does he sound? how is he in real life?

I'd probably have several more thoughts had it not been for Roman grabbing at my shoulder. "You good?"

"Do you want the truth or what you want to hear?"

"I want to hear the truth."

"Well then no. I'm panicking, like a shit ton. Can we go back to Iowa?" Roman rolls his eyes, wrapping his arms with bandages before saying "No you asshole. Don't try and back out now."

"But what if he doesn't like me?"

"oh well then."

I rolled my eyes at him, "Dude." I utter and he shakes his head. "What do you want me to say?"

"Console me." "That's his job."

As we're getting ready another wrestler, by the name of Kevin, states "Who's the chick you're pining after anyway?"

Roman and I share a look, and before I say anything Roman utters "Bold of you to assume he's a gi-"

"Her names Deana?" I say, and it sounds more like a question and Roman squints his eyes at me. He mouths are you serious and I shrug. Kevin laughs before saying "Well put a performance for her, you'll be fine."

I nod, and at this he looks around before leaning in. "It's good shes not a he, you know? I'm not homophobic or anything like, go gays, but this company won't allow that shit and I wouldn't wanna see a rookie get dumped before his debut. Had enough of that with the last guy."

He turns and laughs, almost to try and ease but I'm panicking and the air is quickly growing thinner. I look at Roman, eyes wide and he purses his lips, giving me a shrug before saying loudly, (and pretty easy to know it's fake) "Thank God Deana is a girl."

"Roman would you shut up."

He opens his mouth to speak before the door to the locker room opens. "Hey guys. The boss wants to see you all before the show, see you in catering inbox 5. You have to be there."

I look at other wrestlers nd see what they do. While I'm nodding, not trying to risk ruining my chance even more than the gay policy, it's clear the others dont care anymore. Some roll their eyes, others mutter something and there's just a ton annoyance in the room but no one says no.
