Imhotep gazed off the balcony, watching Rania the Pharaoh's youngest daughter. She was only 16 but you could see how beautiful she was becoming and the Pharaoh knew so he arranged for her to be married to Rashida, the next head of the Medjay. Imhotep was not pleased because he wanted the young princess for himself but if he couldn't have her, he would steal Anck-Su-Namun, who was all to happy to agree. He turns when the doors are opened and he sees Anck-Su-Namun.
Birthplace of Anck-Su-Namun, Pharaoh's mistress. No other man was allowed to touch her.
She smirked when she saw the priests gaze at her, because she wore no clothing but paint. She made her way to Imhotep, but she also heard the laugh of Rania, then she scowled but it quickly changed when Imhotep kissed her.
But for their desires, they were willing to risk life itself.
Imhotep didn't realize he had smeared the paint, then the door was pushed open by the Pharaoh who was curious as to why the priests were there. He storms angry into her chamber when he noticed that someone had touched her. He feels a presence behind him and sees Imhotep, who had grabbed his sword. He feels a sharp knife into his back as he is stabbed in the front.
After they had killed the Pharaoh, they heard to door open and the Medjay burst through. Imhotep and his priests ran away with hope to make her live again as Anck-Su-Namun killed herself.
To resurrect Anck-Su-Namun Imhotep and his priests broke into her crypt and stole her body. They raced deep into the desert, taking her to Hamunaptra. City of the Dead. Imhotep took the black Book of the Dead but the Medjay stopped him before the ritual could be completed. The priests were to be mummified alive but Imhotep must suffer the Hom-Dai.
The Medjay have looked after He who shall not be named for over 3,000 years. That will all come crashing down when they meet Evie and her brother and niece.
