After one week, Elise found herself being observed by a man in a dark blue robe. There was a symbol of a crest on his chest that Elise doesn't have a clue about. The man always have a notebook with him and a feather pen, scribbling away the letters that Elise cannot comprehend.
'I guess my knowledge is pretty useless here since its very magical than being scientific'- Elise thought as she stared at the man.
The man have long blue hair, face sharp with his squared glasses framing his blue almond eyes. He's tall and slim, and his skin is fair.
Elaine went inside the living room and saw the two having a stare-off. Elaine muffled her laughter, breaking the two's stare and look at her way.
"Blair, Why are you having a stare off with my little angel?"- Elaine smiled at him as she took Elise to her arms and cradle her upright. The man sat down the couch across the mother and daughter before drinking his tea that Monet served him.
"She looks normal... no, no offense to you or your child Elaine but.. she appears to not care at all"- the man named Blair said to her. When Blair went to observe Elise, She just stare at him, not crying from seeing a stranger or getting probed by his magic, the little girl just scrunched her forehead before trying to swat his probing magic away. He took some of Elise's hair and did felt the surging power inside making him stare at the child.
Blair Quaint is Elaine's friend from the Institute of Magic when they were studying. They were both competitive and were aiming for the highest rank that time and both acknowledge one another resulting to them being friends till now.
"Well, I cannot compare my daughter to any kid since there is no need to compare at all, about her black hair, what do you think?"-Elaine asked him, the original plan is for Blair to conduct some observation and analysis towards Elise with her and Elliot's supervision.
"I don't have a clear analysis to this but I have proven that your daughter's hair is charged with a large amount of power... at least it is large right now at her age. When I try to probe towards her body, she was repelling it so I cannot give anything."- Blair said and stare back at Elise.
Her red eyes stare at his blue irises with bored and uninterested look. He could only sigh and look away. Somehow, seeing that mature look on a child made him feel awkward.
"Hmm, Come and follow us at the gardens,"- Elaine stood up and carried her daughter towards the large garden. Blair walk side by side with her and immediately noticed the small faeries nesting on the trees of the large gardens.
"Watch closely okay?"- Elaine told Blair and she walk under the crabapple and saw the fairies there moving towards them and circling Elise. Blair took note of this and saw the little girl trying to swat them off with an irritated look at her face and burying her face on Elaine's face's chest instead.
Blair went closer to them and used a protective barrier of magic to repel the faeries.
"Why is she being surrounded by faeries?! Why would they tail her?!"- Blair asked astonished and look outside the barrier where the fairies all tried to probe and dispel his barrier.
"Fairies seems to like her too much from what we could all see, but we don't understand their language, even the Elves, though they can sense the faeries' emotions. I just don't know why they like my little angel so much..."- Elaine mumbled as she patted her daughter's back reassuringly.
"If I learn their language, will they tell me why their pestering me? And If I told them to leave will they do that?" Elise thought in her small head as she look up and pout at her mother. Elaine gushed and kissed her baby's face before they walk back inside.
Blair stayed for a month and he got some valuable informations out of Elise.
One time, He was walking towards the Von Dutch' Main library, he found the little girl clinging- no, Riding his coattail- robe! He didn't notice her presence or heard her even. When he tried looking for her nanny to give her back, the girl keep on frowning and glaring at him. Blair was speechless and doesn't know what to do, why is this child angry at him? He doesn't understand at all.
"What are you doing here, we should find your Nanny,"- He said took her to his arms.
The little girl frowned deeper and her small thin lips in a pout, her red irises hidden from her squinting eyes, the butterfly-like eyelashes enhancing the allure of her eyes. He only paid attention now, but she have a mole next to the end of her left eyebrow.
For a little girl, she was already this charming, Blair feared that in the future, she might become an enchantress without noticing it.
"Reead!"- Blair blinked and look at the girl in his arms, did she just spoke to him?
Elise can't help but wonder what this man was thinking, You heard me talk, isn't that normal? She's already one years old and all I do was cry outside! Hmph! Its not like she doesn't want to talk or anything.
"Y-You, You want to read?"- Blair asked her and she nodded, Blair blinked at her before asking again,
"Can you read?"- He asked the little girl, she shook her small head, her black curly hair swaying along her movement.
"TEACH!" the little girl glared at him and pout, daring him to deny her request.
Blair could only sigh and abide to the little girl's wishes. He put her down the round white carpet at the center of the library and asked what she wants to read.
"ALPHABET!"- Blair winced and asked silently in his head why the little girl needs to shout when he's just right beside her?
He summoned the library catalog that appeared out of no where and he typed the words she asked for.
Elise was watching silently. What the hell was that? Hologram? Magic can create holograms? And the letters- She sighed in relief seeing the familiar Latin Alphabet.
The baffled Elise occupied with her thoughts, didn't notice Blair and the books floating in front of them. Blair selected five books and set it down the carpeted floor, before canceling the search. The hologram disappeared and he left the girl on her own on the carpet.
Elise shrugged and opened the books.... although she loved reading.... why are the texts so hard to see? Why is it so small? Someone tell Blair if he's blind or she is. Elise zoned out and was seen like that by her mother and nanny.
The little girl frowning while looking closely at the book, small chubby hands clenched tight on the thin book.
Elaine smiled before sitting next to her daughter.
"Are you able to read, my cute daughter?"- She asked smiling. Elise look up to her and blinked, giving the book to her.
"CAN'T! SMALL!"-She said and pointed the texts. Elaine held the book and told her how to use it, making Elise more baffled.
'What does she mean by raw mana? Where is what? What is mana? Hey! You started without me knowing! AGAIN?! A HOLOGRAM?! IS THIS MEDIEVAL OR ADVANCED?!'- Elise think her world views were critically damaged.
