Elaine told Elise to use the raw mana in the air and open the hologram of the book, the blue screen pop out and widened in the air. Elise didn't understand and curiously tried to touch the hologram, although her finger pass through, the text shifted and zoomed in.

Elise have a hard time processing this information and the adults left her alone to let her get used to it.

'So the raw mana is those things floating aimlessly in the air... and their the result... a by-product of those multi-colored annoying fairies flying after me. In order to use it, I have to absorb it and my body acts like a catalyst....

Wait...isn't this faintly familiar to the chinese context of Qi? Though the said its energy came from the kidney and spreads out, the bodies here have mana stones inside them? How? Won't they get hurt? Its not a natural body part.... well not in my past life but still....

Who studied anatomy here? Come and help me learn!(>﹏<)'

Elise made a faint noise and look at the hologram to read. She still needs to past the crawling and standing up tests as well as the teething test!

'.... Being a baby is hard...'

She look closely at the text and
Start to memorize the unfamiliar words from fruits, vegetables and places in this world.

She also tried to operate the searching catalog of the library, and was able to find and read the documents and journals from twenty years ago.

It seems that from big war, the journals and other books from the past were eradicated or burnt down.

The war between all races and the demons of this continent, sacrificing many lives, resources and magic to push the demons all down and imprison them in the depths of the continent.

The first generation of rulers didn't have a detailed journal that could be accessed by the people of the kingdom and only those royal bloods could.

Though the past is all but safe and peaceful, Elise wondered how the Flein Sanctuary get there and how did they create an artificial mana.

"Exactly how did they create that and where was it reproduce to create the balance for natural mana? So curious!"- Elise mumbled as she threw the 100th book she read from the library.

She's already three years old and her appearance could tug the heartstrings of any person.

Her black curly hair cascades to the floor at her back like an elegant waterfall, her ruby red irises could suck your soul away. She looks like a porcelain doll, priceless, fragile, so beautiful.

Her nanny and mother always dresses her in white puffy dress with laces and ribbons. Her small feet were adorned with black doll shoes and her hair always styled in a waterfall braid.

Although she appreciates their efforts, there's no one else to appreciate their efforts.

"Oh there you are my lil angel~"- Elise look up and saw her mother and father walking towards her inside the library.

"Mama, Papa,"- She stood up and dusted off her white dress before walking and meeting them halfway.

"Oh our little Angel is such a cute one!"- Elaine gushed as she hold her up to her arms. Elliot patted her head and smiled towards them.

"I have such a lovely wife and daughter, The gods must've blessed me so much"- Elliot said and kissed both their cheeks. Elaine blushed at her husband's antics while Elise smiled to her father.

"Elise, Your Mother and Father wants to tell you a good news"- Elliot said as they walk towards the dining hall.

"What is it, Papa? Mama?"- Elise asked them with a curious look on her face.

"Well... its the Prince's Fifth birthday and.... the Royals asked every nobles to come to the palace and celebrate."- Elliot said to her and she tilted her head.

"Why does it have to concern me?"- Elise asked him, her eyes staring straight to his, making him waver.

'Look at how pure and innocent my dear daughter is! Why should I let her expose to the venom of the aristocrats?!'- Elliot felt like crying in his heart.

'Exactly what moved my father to show such disgraceful expression to your daughter?'- Elise can't help but raise a brow at him.

"Lil Angel, Little nobles have to be there and attend the ball. You will be the most wonderful girl ever seen in the whole Geon Kingdom!"- Elaine exclaimed and held her daughter happily.

'... so its dressing up? I see,'- Elise just blinked and stared at her mother.

"About my hair?"- Elise can't help but asked their opinion about her hair. She already knew that black hair is a trait of the demons, however, the research that Sir Blair conducted to her is not efficient enough to compell the mass that she is not a threat. Her parents look at each other and seem to communicate with expression, Elise wasn't bothered and stare at them.

"... Elise... we'll braid your hair!"- Her mother said which only earn a nod.

"Don't worry about anyone else! On that ball, Elise should enjoy yourself and stay close with Mother and Father okay?"- her father asked her and she nodded.

The preparation of her parents were no joke, they invited the best seamstress and designer for her dress, a shoemaker to create the best shoes, and they bought a lot of hair products to tame and take care of her knee length obsidian hair.

Before the week of the ball, her family went to the Capital City to their own small mansion under the Duke's name.

It was less grand than the one on their territory and its neat. Elise doesn't have any scuffles about the house and followed her mother's whim on getting pampered and ready for the ball.

When Elise just took out her book about geography inside her room, her mother went in with a few maids with different things on the silver trays.

"Angel! There's no time for you to read! Let's go to your bathroom and groom your hair!"- Elaine said in a hurried manner, not minding when her child grimaced.

The next day when Elise opened a book about currency, her mother barged inside her room again with a bunch of jewelries on the silver trays of the maids.

"Angel! There's no time for you to read! We have to pick your jewelries before the ball!"- Elaine said in a hurried manner that made Elise's face go black.

The third day....don't even mention it, Elise was directly carried away by her mother towards the bathroom to dip in warm water with a strong rose oil.

"This will make my lovely angel attract bees and butterflies"- Elaine said happily.

'I think the literal mean will do so...'- Elise face was blank as she sighed in her heart. Her enthusiastic mother... She feels so hopeless.

'I just want to read... why is it so hard to succeed?'

Finally, it's time for the ball.
