Yeosang wasn't used to parties. He had only ever been to two or three and he never really enjoyed them. He didn't drink alcohol anymore, as he didn't like how it made you lose control over yourself. He had never even touched a drop of the liquid the people around him were chugging down in masses since the incident with Taylor. Wooyoung and Hongjoong had left him early on to go and dance and San was strolling around chatting with all the people he knew.
Being left alone once again Yeosang decided to go look for some non-alcoholic beverages and then find a quiet place where he could spend the night. Maybe he would find a few other people, who didn't want to dance and drink, he could talk to. After a few minutes of squeezing through masses of bodies grinding on each other and looking around different rooms he found the bar, where a barkeeper was busy mixing drinks for the already intoxicated teens and adolescents around him. He walked up to him and ordered: "A regular coke please. Without anything else in it." He made sure to specify that, because he knew that normally people at a party like this wouldn't drink their coke without mixing it.
The barkeeper nodded and handed him a bottle. Yeosang gladly took it and made his way to the door he had spotted to his right. When he walked through it he was greeted with a whiff of fresh air. Apparently he had found the garden. Even though it was already quite late, it wasn't cold yet, leading to massive amounts of people standing in front of the glass door Yeosang had just passed through. They weren't standing as closely as inside though, making it possible for him to get through them quite easily. The amount of people gradually decreased, as he brought more distance between him and the house. In the very corner of the garden he could make out Hollywood swing lit up by fairy lights. There didn't seem to be anyone.
Yeosang approached the swing, but before he arrived, he noticed that it wasn't as deserted as he had anticipated. There was a figure sitting on one side of the swing already. Yeosang couldn't see who it was though, as the backside of it was facing him. He carefully rounded the swing, trying not to disturb the person sitting there. To his surprise the one he found was Seonghwa. He had his eyes closed and was softly humming to the music, that cold only faintly be heard out there. Yeosang had never seen the raven-haired male this relaxed and content. His usually so emotionless face was decorated with a small smile and his tall body was comfortably leaned back into the corner of the cushioned swing.
"Hey", Yeosang said softly to not startle him, "Do you mind if I sit here?" Seonghwa opened his eyes as he flinched just a little bit. The smile had disappeared from his face and he shrugged. "Oh, it's you. Go ahead." Yeosang sat down, causing the swing to move a little. The slow swinging and the atmosphere the fairy lights gave off made Seonghwa calm down again. He still couldn't entirely relax given that the pretty brunette was sitting less than a metre away from him. "You're not a big fan of parties either, are you?", Yeosang carefully asked the older, hoping he wouldn't be annoyed by his attempt of starting a conversation. "I don't like having that many people around me. I prefer being alone", he replied. "Oh. Sorry..." Yeosang felt like he was disturbing the older. "Should I leave?", he asked. "It's okay. I don't mind your company actually. You're not as obnoxiously loud and annoying as most others." Yeosang smiled and leaned back. "Thanks... I guess."
For a while they just enjoyed each other's presence, stealing glances at each other from time to time, hoping the other wouldn't notice. Until their eyes accidentally met. Yeosang gazed into Seonghwa's beautiful dark brown orbs for a moment, the older returning the gesture. His eyes convicted so many hidden emotions. What people said really was true: A persons eyes are the windows to their soul. When Yeosang realized what he was doing he quickly lowered his eyes, embarrassed. Seonghwa couldn't take his eyes off him though. He had felt something deep inside him move like it often did when he was around the younger. This time it was a lot stronger though. It almost felt like there was something fluttering inside his stomach like a swarm of butterflies. When Yeosang felt Seonghwa's eyes hadn't left him he looked up again. When their eyes met the second time they didn't feel awkward, just content.
