Chapter 6-Boat Rides

Vicky POV:

I see a small row boat floating in the lake. Theo pulls out an umbrella from the car and takes my hand.

"I don't want you to ruin your dress so lets  be careful. Take your heels off."

I take them off and Teddy helps me into the boat. He gets in and wraps his arm around me.

"You cold?" He produces a blanket from the bottom of the seat. He wraps it around me.

Then he grabs the paddles and rows us into the peaceful lake.

"So how was your practice yesterday? I never really asked." He smiles.

"The guys are fun and chill. The coach really liked me after putting me in with the second string."

Second string? What the heck is that?

"What is a second string?" He laughs at my confusion. I hit him on his arm.

"Don't laugh." I scold.

"It is the secondary players. The first string starts the game. If someone is hurt or can't play they put in the second string player. I am the second string quarterback."

"Oh I get it. So your the back up."

He nods. "Pretty much."

"Now enough me talk. How about you? How was your classes? Did you draw a picture of my face for a project?" He wiggles his eyebrows.

I giggle. "No we didn't do much. Syllabus readings are super boring. Especially in all of my classes. When I do have to draw something like that. I'd like to draw a nude portrait instead. So you would have to model for me."

I wink. He laughs.

"I can't wait. My classes sucked like that too."

We continue to talk for hours. Its around midnight when we get out of the boat.

We walk to the car.

"You know Vicky. I have never felt this way ever. I really really like you."

He stops me and turns me towards him. He wraps his arms around me.

"Theo. You know I feel the same way. I can't wait to see where this goes."

"Same and that's why I want to ask you." I take a deep breath. "Will you do me the honor of being my girlfriend? I know it sounds kinda cliche but please?"

"I don't know. Will you take me places in that amazing car? Will you buy me coffee? Will you take me on dates? Will I meet your parents? Will I celebrate holidays with you?" I smile.

"Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. I wouldn't want to do anything else without you."

"Well then Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. I will be your girlfriend."

He pushes his lips on mine. I wrap my hands in his hair.

He pulls me closer so my chest pushes on his chest. I moans in his mouth which gives him access to invade. He explores as do I.

After a bit we pull apart. Our foreheads still press together.

The cold air hits us and I squeal.

"Let's go!" He grabs my hand and we run to the car.

I drive her home and give her a long kiss goodbye.

I really want to head in there with her but I want to take things slow.

So I watch her walk up the steps and into the loft.

When I am home and laying in bed I am smiling a broad smile and I realize I haven't been this happy in a long time.

Hey Update. This week it will be a year since my grandpa died so I'll probably will be writing to distract myself.
