One day in 1983, Reginald Hargreeves was struck with an idea. To give the average human, inhuman abilities. The results were unknown, too unpredictable to do it on himself. So he adopted a child, only 12, her name was Elizabeth. Promptly he began to experiment on her. Investigating her DNA, injecting her with serums, staying up late at night to configure the calculations. One day, however, as he sat in his office. A white, smoke-like substance floated under the door. He started to feel woozy, however right before his eyes the smoke formed into his adopted daughter.  "Father, my head hurts", she mumbled. He shouted joyously at his accomplishment, "Eureka!".

After he trained Elizabeth to the best of his ability. She could control it. Reginald was so sure that if he could do such an enormous feat, he could do anything. He began to think, of what else he could do, what other experiments. He had the idea to see if he could achieve immortality. So, of course, he started these experiments on Elizabeth It wasn't until years later that he realized she looked exactly as she did at the age of 13. More research revealed that her mind was still aging but her body would stay the same. Not quite immortality but it was the first step however before he could continue this research something else came up.

On the first day of October 1989. Elizabeth was mentally 19. 43 women around the world came up pregnant despite the fact that they weren't pregnant at the start of the day. They immediately gave birth. Reginald was intrigued so he traveled, attempting to get as many of these children as he could, in the end. He got seven of them. Once the children had aged, they began to showcase amazing abilities. So Reginald began to train them. Elizabeth helped them train because she was technically the oldest.  " father, how come Eliza never trains with us", number 3 asked inquisitively.  "Because she's 29, she has all the training she needs",  Reginald mumbled keeping his eyes on the book he was reading. Everyone seemed quite confused, for it wasn't until later on that she explained to them her predicament.

Elizabeth and five became the best of friends. Because of their abilities, they were able to sneak around the house to play games and do anything else before they would get caught. One day, the 7 children + Elizabeth. Sat down to eat lunch. Everyone ate in silence. Until suddenly five stabbed his knife into the table.  "Number five!", mr. Hargreeves exclaimed. " I have a question", five stated. "Knowledge is an admirable goal but you know the rules, no talking during meal times you're interrupting herr Carlson", mr. Hargreeves spoke plainly. Five dropped his utensils, letting them loudly clatter on the plate. " I want to time travel", five shouted. "No", was all father responded with. " but I'm ready I've been practicing my spatial jumps just like you said", he sighed before demonstrating by jumping next to fathers chair. "A spatial jump is trivial compared to time travel, one is like sliding along the ice, other is akin to plunging deep into icy water and emerging as an acorn", he said as if it was obvious information. " I don't get it", five stammered. "Exactly why you're not ready, now I forbid you to speak of this anymore", father said dismissively. Five stood there for a moment before turning and bolting out the door. Eliza turned to smoke and immediately followed him, she caught up to him on a sidewalk and turned back in front of him, stopping him in his tracks. " it's not worth it man, what if you can't come back", she whispered putting her hands on his shoulders. "I'll always come back to you", he mumbled, pulling her into a tight hug before pushing through the air, just like that he was gone. Little did Eliza know, that would be the last time she saw him for a long while.
