Ruby had met Oscar at the restaurant as he waited for their table. He was wearing a light blue button up shirt with a tie and some dress pants. She tried her best to walk in her black pumps without falling. Oscar looked up at her when she stopped in front of him in her red dress she wore at the dance back at Beacon Academy.

"Hi, Oscar," She said.

"Hi, Ruby," Oscar replied. He motion her to a spot next to him, "Please, come sit down!"

"Okay," Ruby sat next to him and there was a moment of silence.

The waiter then came out to seat them and they began to look at the menu. After they ordered, Oscar spoke, "So how long did it actually take for you to become a huntress?"

"About seven to eight years. I'm still in training for the fist to fist defense part, but other than that I'm good really," Ruby answered.

"Eight years? But your sixteenth," Oscar replied.

"I started when I was eight. I wanted to fight just like my uncle and my mom, but also to help others and make things better," Ruby explained. The dinner came to the table and they chatted more as they ate. They talked about their childhoods and their own world. They told jokes and laughed until Qrow came in the restaurant. Ruby saw him walk over, "Uh oh."

"Ruby, Oscar, we got a-Whoa, what is this," Qrow asked, "Is this a date?"

"Well, Uh-," Ruby started.

"She was hungry," Oscar lied. His voice shook a little as he tapped one of his fingers on the table.

"Yang made us dress up," Ruby also lied. She put her hand over her eyes.

"Ruby, Oscar," Qrow began to sound sturn.

"Yang did let me borrow her card though," Oscar replied as he pulled a yellow credit card.

Qrow looked at his niece, "Ruby?"

"I couldn't say no this time," Rube replied.

"Ruby, You know your not allowed to do this," Qrow said, "You're not even old enough to date."

"I'm sixteen, Uncle Qrow," Ruby replied. She got up from her seat, "I'm aware about it all. I think I'm pretty much old enough to decide if I'm old enough to find love or not. I'm old enough to decide certain things."

Ozpin began to speak from Oscar, "It's actually true, Qrow. She's getting older and more mature."

"Exactly, Some days I feel more like you treat me more as a kid then what I can responsible for," Ruby walked off form the table and out of the doors of the restaurant as Oscar paid the dinner with Yang's card.

Ozpin then spoke after the waiter took it, "Qrow, I know you're trying to protect her from certain things, but try and let her have a little freedom."

"What did you tell her," Qrow asked.

"It's not what I've told her, but what she's learned in the last year at my school," Ozpin stated, "Just know, as long as she loves you, that's all that matters. Just apologize and see what's going on."

Orow then felt bad. The waiter came back to give Yang's card back to Oscar and they both left, "You're right. I better go apologize to her."

"But you might want to give her some time first."

"Right."
