2. A New World

Summer awoke on the beach, laying on her side. She sits up and looks at herself until she saw a mer tail that replaces her legs. She then freaked out, "GEAAHHHH."

She then put her hand on her stomach. The wound was no longer there. It was only a pink bump. How long have I been out? Wait Where am I?

Her tail began to burn and it went away, giving her her legs back. Summer was confused. She got up and looked out over an ocean on the sandy bank of a beach. This didn't look like Wonderland anymore. She spotted and eagle above her and heard some people come in her direction.

"I saw something at the shore behind the rock, sir," One of the men said. Summer heard them coming closer so she went back into the water and behind the rock as they came up. She watched them as the water swished around her ankles. They didn't see her as she crouched bellow sight. She saw the two men in waiter uniforms look around, "I could have sworn I saw someone passed out on the beach right here."

"And What do you think that was," asked his friend.

"A girl."

"Well she's not here."

Oh my gosh, they saw me, Summer thought. When they left, Summer sat in the water and her tail came back She lifted it above the surface of the water, WHAT? HUH? Oh no. not again. She moved her tail up and down, in and out of the water until it hit her. I'm a mermaid? No, no, no,no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I can't be. I gotta be dreaming.

"Hi," said a high voice. It startled Summer that she jumped and turned to see a girl much younger than her. Her hair was full of dark and light blues. Her skin was brown and she had a tattoo on her arm. Her eyes where the color of armor, "My name's Sasha, What's yours?"

"Summer," Summer replied very cautiously, "Where am I?"

"Mistral resorts, Why? Are you lost," Sasha replied as she cocked her head.

"No, I was just confused," Summer replied.

Sasha noticed Summer's eyes, "Whoa, Your eyes are pretty! Are you a mighty warrior?"

"How did you know?"

"I've read books and human stories. I've been here for about eight years and sometimes I slip out of this place to go read books at the library in the resort!"

"But you ARE human?"

Sasha lifted her tail above the water and smacked it back down in the water, "I'm a shapeshift mermaid!"

"What's that?"

"When you can turn from a human to mermaid or a mermaid to a human with complete control! Usually girls with your eyes have more powers that me. My eyes aren't silver like yours. I wish though. So how did you get lost?"

"I came from Wonderland."

"Wait... THE PLACE Wonderland?"

"Yes..."

"What did you do there?"

"I was ruler for a lost kingdom."

"Really? Wow! That sounds awesome!"

"After my people won our last war, The Red Queen mde an army out of a band of criminals who chased me to my 'death' as they now believe."

"Did anything happen before?"

"Wait, is this in remnant, perhaps?"

"Yes!"

Summer realized right then she was back in her own world and decided to tell Sasha everything. When she was done explaining, They heard the men in the distance and looked to see what they were up to.
