24. Of Mimes & Pantomime

Arianne lowered the arm holding her bow gracefully, as she finished playing a song on her violin. She was currently in the park, as Thiago watched her. Originally, she was just playing for him, since he wanted to listen to the song, but, soon, more people began appearing.

When she was done, some people approached her with money, but Arianne shook her head.

"No, thanks" she replied politely with a smile "There's something better you can waste it on, I'm just doing this for fun"

"That sounded quite good" complimented Thiago, approaching her with a smile.

"Thanks" replied the girl, as she placed the violin carefully on its case, before closing it and hanging it over her shoulder "Hey, I was wondering if you wanted to go to the mime show tonight?" she asked as they walked down the street, towards the Eiffel Tower.

"Doesn't that involve silence and playing with invisible stuff?" asked Thiago, not very convinced.

"It's art!" replied Arianne "Mimes have to practice a lot to be able to do that!"

"I guess I can give it a try" replied the boy with a shrug, and his friend smiled.

"Great!" said the girl "We'll just have to go home so I can—"

"Look out!" he yelled, and grabbed her from the waist, jumping away from something being thrown their way.

"What the..." said Arianne, and her gaze stood on a diabolic mime standing in the street, and throwing something at them.

"Hey, isn't that the guy from those posters all around town?" questioned Thiago. On their way there, they had seen many posters of the mime who was the protagonist of some show.

"It's Myléne's dad!" realised Arianne, remembering how proud Myléne was of his father being the mime. Both friends went off to hide out of curious eyes, and transformed.

"Hey, if you have a problem, we can help you out!" Tigre Blanco spoke up, calling the mime's attention "There's no need for this!" the mime's response was to throw something he couldn't see at him, though he noticed because of the sound, and dodged it by jumping to the side "Guess you don't want our help then"

The mime then focused on Loup d'Argent, who opened her eyes wide as she used her bow as a shield to block his attacks. She couldn't really attack the mime, because he was always throwing stuff at her, so all she could do was to squint backwards, and help some people inside a grey BMW.

"Get out of the car!" she exclaimed, blocking the invisible attacks "I'll cover you! But please, hurry!" then, the window was rolled down, and staring at her from inside the car was Adrien. He was frozen, seeing her so close to his true form.

Loup, on the other hand, was also frozen upon seeing her love staring right at her alter ego, though he didn't know that it was her, as much as she wanted to tell him. But she couldn't, rules were rules.

"C'mon!" she urged, regaining her composure, and opening the car door. She dragged Adrien out of the car, and pushed him behind her "Go hide behind that building!" she ordered "Quickly!" Adrien did as told.

Well, sort of. He turned into Chat Noir to aid his friends.

Tigre Blanco threw his boomerang towards the Mime, but he dodged it. Loup then started to play her melody, and the mime's face scrunched up in pain. He created something else and placed it in his ears, blocking the melody.

"Oh, c'mon!" exclaimed the wolf girl, stomping her foot angrily on the floor. No one had ever been able to block her melody before "Earplugs? Seriously?" Ladybug then hit his hands with the yoyo. The mime knelt down and made a box-like movement, he placed it over his shoulder, adjusted the scoped, and shot at her. Tigre Blanco pulled Ladybug out of the way with his ropes, just as the car that had been behind her minutes ago exploded "A missile?!" she questioned angrily. The mime made a lasso and roped it around her waist, dragging her towards him "Wha-Hey! Let me go!" she tried to get rid of the lasso imprisoning her, but a staff hit him in the stomach, making him lose focus.
