"We're a million lonely people altogether in this needle in the sky, afraid of heights. And your dreams are made illegal, by the laws of lesser evil, we collide."

____________¤_____________Chapter 3: When Saoirse thought she was fine
Saoirse was exhausted, she just completed her last paper for her qualifying exam and she deserves to sleep. It has been two months since Saoirse and Heath met. Heath tutored her every day including weekends. He tutored her during the whole winter break. It's not like she was needed for Christmas anyway except for cleaning up and all the preparations of course. Other than that, she was quite free.
Although it might seem depressing that she doesn't take part in a very joyful celebration that everyone looks forward to but honestly, she's just relieved that she's not forced to celebrate it with her family.
She would have felt like a stranger with them, so out of place. And she would have cried about it after. She would find herself to be weak and unworthy. She would have to get herself out of depression before her parents become more disappointed in her.
It would be too much to handle.
Heath decided to show up before she shed some unwanted tears. Saoirse was able to keep her emotions in check whenever someone else is around.
She stood up and followed him silently. Heath didn't talk to her at school, she gave him that rule as to not ruin his life. Once they were safe in his car, he asked her,
"What if we take it slow today? I know you are tired"
Saoirse nodded in appreciation as they made their way to the cafe which became their official meet up point for tutoring.
"Two hot chocolates please" Heath ordered for them both.
Saoirse banged her head against the table in front of her, sighing. She desperately hopes she did well. It was her only chance to stay in Year 13, or else she would have to retake another year of lower six and she doesn't want to give a reason for her parents to disown her. She shudders at even having that idea in the first place.
She was so tired juggling everything, she was tired of taking care of the house, she was tired of studying, she was tired of being a human in general. She wished she could relate to those teenagers who lounge around and binge watch in their free time, or go to parties of that sort. Saoirse's free time (if she has got any at all) is a time she treasures, it's a time where she could rest or to study, if she still has the energy to.
"Star, are you okay?" Heath called out. She raised her head to face him and a concerned emotion masked his face. Saoirse shook her head and covered her face with her hands, trying to hold back the tears threatening to spill. She never cried in front of anyone. Ever.
Saoirse felt like pouring her heart out to him, all of her worries anf problems. She felt at the verge of breaking. Nobody has ever been concerned of her well being before, not even her parents. Well, except for Delilah but she's no longer here.
"I-I'm okay" she answered quietly. Heath didn't believe her, he knew that something was wrong and he's hell bent to turn her frown upside down. He took her trembling hands in his and was shocked when she squeezed it tightly.
