Amira's P.O.V.

I slowly opened my eyes. Why is it so bright?

I saw everyone sitting on my bed. Da'vonte, mama, Mrs.Morton, Avant, Kevin, and Dominique.

"Why are y'all sitting there watching me."

Da'vonte hugged the life out of me

"Don't scare me like that again Amira." he mumbled into my neck

"What did I do? I swear I just had the strangest dream. I thought you got me August Alsina concert tickets and a car. Then my brother showed up...it was so scary." I told him

Da'vonte let go of me. Everyone looked at each other. They had this 'Who should tell her look on their' faces.

"Um...Amira that wasn't a dream." Avant mumbled

"Haha ya'll funny. Like that actually happened" I said laughing

"It's not a joke Mira." an unfamiliar voice said

Mira...I haven't heard that nickname in years. Only Travon called me that.

Someone stepped into my clear view.

Chocolate brown skin and ebony hair cut in a fade box cut hair style. We shared similar facial features. Hazel eyes, and my father's nose.

Lord he is alive!

I felt my slowly passing out a again. Water was splashed on my face.

"I'm drowning, help, help!"

My faced snapped in the other direction.

"Open your eyes Amira. You ain't drowning." Dominique yelled shaking me

"I need that." I said opening my eyes

"I think we should leave, and let you guys talk." Mama said

Everyone exited the room, leaving me and Travon alone.

I sat there staring at him. All these years. Why didn't he ever come back?

Travon sat down next to me

"Why didn't you ever come back? Do you know what I went through in that house without you?!" I asked him

"I'm sorry Mira, I truly am. I felt as though you were better off without me. You got kidnapped and almost killed because of me. Not a day went by when you didn't cross my mind."

"I...guess I can see things from your point of view. You're forgiven." I told him

"Thank you MIra!" Travon said

He jumped on top of me, pulling me into a bear hug. I started to pound on his back.

"N-nigga let...me go! Your're cutting off my air supply!"

Travon let go of me. What is it with him and Da'vonte trying to kill me with hugs?

"So...how's mama and Travis?"

I rolled my eyes

"Same way they were when you left." I told him

"Well damn. You think things would be different after eight years." Travon said laying down on the bed

"Yeah you think...What have you been up to? What happened after that man took you away, and dropped me off back at the house?"

"Well...I met Davon'te and his dad, Christopher. I explained to him why I did it, and how I was only trying to take care of you. Christopher didn't kill me, instead he made me work for him. Claims he didn't want to take away someone who has their whole life ahead of him. He gave me a place to say, I took online classes, and slang on the side. Me and Da'vonte were cool and hug out a lot. Became best of friends. Christopher took me as his son, like a father figure to me. When he passed away, me and Da'vonte hunted down the men who killed him and his sister... we gave them a slow ass death. Da'vonte took over his father's postion and became a kingpin, and I became his right hand. And that about sums it up."

"Well damn. Da'vonte's dad seems like such a nice man. I wish I had the chance to meet him."

"He would like you to be with his son."

I blushed scarlet red

"Aww you're blushing. Speaking of Da'vonte have you guys...um well you know..."

My eyes got wide "NO! I'm still a virgin!" I told him

Travon started to laugh "Good to know...you in your senior year. RIght?"

I shook my head yes

"Where you plan on going to college?" Travon asked me

"Probably out of state."

"Really? Are you sure?" Travon asked me

"Yeah. I want to go to college Florida or Cali."

"Iight. Come on let's go I want to give you your present."

"You got my a present? What is it?!" I asked him jumping up and down on the bed

"Something you always wanted." Travon said leaving the room

I followed behind him. We went downstairs to the living room.

OH. MY. GOD! He did not!

"You always did want a husky puppy." Travon said

I bent down and tickled the dog behind the ear. He smiled at me.

"Boy or girl?"

"Girl. What are you going to name her?"

"Scarlet." I said

Scarlet hopped into my lap

"Aww he likes you already." Dominique said

She bent down and started to play with Scarlet.

"All those boxs have dog food, a bed for her, and other shit." Travon said

"Thank you Vony." I said giving him a hug
