Chapter 14

All of a sudden a cat leaps into the water and pulls her to safety. She lays on the shore not breathing and then all of the water falls from her mouth as she coughs. She gasps for breath and hears a reassuring mew. "Hey take it easy." She looks up to see a handsome Tom he was a brown striped tabby with one white paw. She stands slowly and shakes water from her pelt. She nods a thank you and then turns around. "Hey meet me here tonight?!" She yowls after him when he spins around and begins to run home he grins and then his tail vanishes. She sighs and then leaps across on stepping stones and then back to camp. As night falls she sneaks out of camp and races to the river to see the mysterious Tom again. She smiles and trots up to him. "By the way thanks for saving me earlier." She mews. "It's fine just try not to drown yourself again." He says laughing. As they both talk and after learning each other's names and talk for a few hours. She smiles and dips her head goodbye as they trot back to there separate homes and she smiles as she falls asleep in her nest. She wakes up to a sharp yowl. She shoots out of her nest to find them hauling cloudgazer into camp. Her eyes widen as there is many wounds on him. She runs to help the other warriors settle him into the medicine den. He looks to at her his eyes glazed.
