After a few moons redkit squeals. "Nightkit were gonna be apprentices today!" Duststar trots up to them. "That's right redkit were doing your ceremony after the dawn patrol gets back." He says his eyes shining. Redkit and nightkits eyes light up. And they rush into the nursery. Duststar purrs and trots away laughing.
The dawn patrol trots into camp as duststar yowls. "Let all cats old enough to catch a jay bird gather here under the high rock!" Duststar yowls. "Redkit please step forward!" He yowls and redkit walks forward her pelt sleek and clean and her blue eyes calm. "Redkit from this day forward until you earn your warrior name you will be known as redpaw!" The clan chants loudly. "REDPAW REDPAW!" Nightkit Yowls the loudest. "Your mentor will be me!" He says happily and leaps down and touches his nose to hers. He leaps back up an sits down. Redkit walks back to the clan and sits down next to Nightkit.
"Nightkit please step forward!" Nightkit walks forward and stands boldly. "Redkit from this day forward until you have earned your warrior name you will be known as nightpaw!" The clans cheers for the newly made apprentices. "Your mentor will be tigerwhisp!" Duststar yowls and tigerwhisp touches his nose to nightpaws. Shellpaw leaps up and brings nightpaw and redpaw to the apprentices den.
Redpaw makes a nest for herself and then one for nightpaw. "There!" She says purring. Nightpaw leaps into the nest and rubs against the soft moss. Then leaps up. "Thanks redpaw!" He says and licks her ear. Redpaw blushes and purrs. "Redpaw do you want to start training?" Duststar asks. Redpaw nods and trots after him. "Let's go train nightpaw!" Tigerwhisp says purring.
