Then and Now

First kiss?

"Wake up! " someone shouted while pouring cold ice water on me. "What!" I yelled mad. I sat up to see a smiling Sarah. "Eric is downstairs. she said. I wiped my face. "Well why did you pour water on me!" I asked. "To wake you up, duh.  she stated in a matter of factly voice. "You could of shouted in my ear, hit me with a pillow in the face, I mean anything except this! " I screamed. "Wow you must have been sleeping really hard because I did both of those." she smiled as she left the room with the blue bucket in her hand. And yes I mean bucket!  Tpyical sarah.

I rolled my eyes while going to the bathroom to take a shower. After taking off my now wet yucky clothes and dropping them to the floor, I hopped in the steamy shower. It took me about 10 minutes before I got out and brushed my teeth ; washed face and changed. I was wearing some pink shorts and a black tank top with the words love written on them in pink. Okay even though I wear really bagging pants doesn't mean I don't like the color pink, don't judge me.. After that I went downstairs to the kitchen to get some food while finding Eric sitting at the marble countertop eating some hot fries. "Hey ." I said enthusiastically.  "Where have you been it been like 10 minutes since I got here. "I guess someone impatient." I said while getting a plate from the cupboard. "No I'm just ready to go." he said still eating. "Okay okay let me eat then ill be ready ." I said while scopping some rice from the pan. "And how long will that take?" he asked unpatientally. "Give me 10 minutes. " I said smiling. "Okay but only because your you." he winked. "What's that mean?" "Ah nothing." he said smirking. I rolled my eyes and went to the living room, Time to watch some Spongebob!

After I was done I told Eric to wait In the car so he wouldnt annoy me. I went upstairs to put on my black converses and get my black purse. I was going down the stairs and stopped at the bottom to see Sarah's standing by the door. "So your going out with him alone?, no Carla, no me? she said coming towards me. "I heard the horn of Eric's car honk. "I wont do anything now can I please go!" I said walking past her. "Fine but if anything happens and I mean anything, you are to tell me." "Okay mom." I said sarcastically.  "Good now have a good time!" she said hugging me. I smiled and ran down the steps to Eric's car.  I opened the door and got in . "Ready?" Eric asked while smiling. "Definitely. " I said smirking. "Lets go!" he said speeding off.

While Eric was driving to who knows where, the song "RATHER BE" came on . I rolled down the window and stuck my hand out letting my brown hair fly everywhere. It was a sunny -wind day that was just beautiful so it wasn't hot or cold but.. just right. Eric turned the music up and smiled at me while winking. I smiled and let the wind take me. Eric put his hand on my thigh and started patting it to the beat of the music. I turned my attention away from the sky while looking at him. He was stunning his black hair blowing in all directions even though it was short, his blue eyes sparkling,  his head noding to the beat and him smiling.  "I smiled at him even though he didn't look at me because he was driving but turned my head back to the sky.

Soon we stopped at the park.  I turned and looked at Eric smiling, it was the perfect day to be at the park he returned the smile back to me. I got out the car running towards the swing while shouting "LAST ONE THERES A BIG BOLONY HEAD ! Eric followed me and got behind me and spun me around in the air. I screamed while laughing hard. Eric put me down and we raced to the swings. We sat down on the swings and Eric came from behind me and pushed me, I tried jumping off and landed on my butt. Eric was laughing hard. "Are y -you okay? " he said in between laughing.  "Yeah I guess so !" I said while also starting to laugh. Eric came and helped me up pulling me by the waist. "Y -yeah I studdered at the proximity of how close we were. Eric smiled grabbing my hand intertwining our hands together. I looked at our hands and back up at him smiling. "He pulled my hand and we went to the bridge of the pond and stood there, being the rebel I am I jumped up and sat on the edge of the bridge.  I was surprised when two hands snaked up from behind me and around my waist. Eric grabbed my hand in his and put his head on my shoulder. He looked at my face then down to my lips then my face again. He then leaned in and put his hand on my cheek while coming closer towards my face, closer towards my lips. We were seconds away from kissing when I tried to turn around and slipped and fell into the pond wetting my clothes. Great, just great my first kiss and I fall!

"Oh my gosh! " Eric exclaimed. He jumped in the pond  water coming towards me. I was pretending to drown even though my butt was on the bottom of the water. Once he got towards me he grabbed me by the waist and pulled me out of the pond. "Are you okay?" he asked once again. I started laughing "Y -yeah I'm alright ." He smiled " Good, because if that water wasnt shallow I don't know what I would of done." "Yeah I might of been faking my drowning. " I said sheepishly. "Really?" he asked with sarcastically. I rolled my eyes at him but then stared at him. We sat there on the grass staring at each other clothes soaking wet for about 10 seconds before my phone inturrupted the dead silence. PHONE CALL:

HELLO? IT WAS My mom.

"Yeah hey sweetie you have to come home. "

"Why?" I asked.

"Do you remember that we had to get your cousins who live 1 hour away?"
Oh yeah she did say something about that last week.  "Ok mom I'm coming."

"Great bye."

"Bye."

"Sorry Eric but I have to get back home." I said said. "Aw why jess? "  I smiled at him whining like a kid. "We have to go pick up my cousins who live a 1 hour away." "Fine your off the hook this time but next time your not leaving me." he said. "Next time?" I asked quirking 1 eyebrow up. Eric nodded "Yep next time. " he winked at me. I smiled at him then he took off running to the car. I laughed then surprisingly caught up to him and hopped on his back. He then started running full speed and by no time we were at the car. He let me down and smiled then open the door for me. "Thanks. " I said as I sat down and he closed the door. He ran to his side opened the door got in and we were on our way to my house.

"Bye ." I smiled. "Bye." he said as he smiled and leaned over and pecked my cheek. I smiled and blushed and got out of the car walking to the door pulling out my key. I opened the door and heard two honks before I waved then closed it smiling. I wonder if we like each other or if were just really really close friends.
