Hold Onto Me

Ya girl is officially out of high school and studying at USC. Things didn't pan out how I thought they would with Cameron. We dated for over a year, but he was aggressive and became abusive. It wasn't a situation I wanted to be in and once my parents got wind of it, that was it.

It sucks that all these love stories I see or hear about end in disaster. I mean, my dad cheated on my mom and here I am getting smacked up by the so called love of my life.

Now when Cam and I got together I didn't think that we'd be together forever. I was happy being with him. My Senior year changed everything. Something in him changed. Then again, he was probably like that all along.

As for my family, my brother still plays ball and we welcomed two new additions to the family last year - Rumi and Sir. They're so stinkin cute and my parents definitely have their hands full with them.

We live full time in Cali. My brother has a better opportunity at ball out here especially since he's being trained by LeBron. Talk about rich rich.

In between school, I'm still dancing. I was on the OTRII tour as one of my moms backup dancers which is an experience I'll never forget. I also teach classes in between time and I'm building my name as an established choreographer and dancer. My mom didn't just give me a spot on her team. I had to work my ass off for it.

My love life on the other hand is at a stand still. I mean, there's plenty of guys that want me. I mean, I'm Blue Ivy. Not to sound cocky or anything, but it is what it is. Trust, I didn't let her down.

There's this one guy that has his eye on me. Now being that I'm 19, I'm of age to date whoever I want, but of course there's people buzzing about who I'm supposedly with on a daily basis. Me and this guy we kick it on the low, nothing serious. My dad doesn't see anything wrong with it, since he just thinks we're friends. My mom on the other hand, she knows how I really feel. Less talk about him for now.

I'm on my way to the dance studio for one of my classes. I'm so happy for all the doors dance has opened for me, giving me a name of my own and not just Beyoncé and Jay-Z's daughter.

Once class was over, I got a FaceTime call from that special someone.

"Hello."

"Wassup. Did I catch you at a bad time?"

"No Papi, you didn't," I said, trying to hide my smile.

He laughed at the look on my face before he continued.

"Look I'm in Cali and thought we could go get some food. You down?"

I nodded, "Yeah. Let me go home and get changed and then I'll let you know when I'm ready. You know you gon have to come pick me up right?"

"Wouldn't have it any other way beautiful. Hit me when you ready."

The call ended and I turned to see everyone had pretty much cleared out the studio.

That special someone I was just talking to is Meek Mill's son, Rihmeek. We've been friends for some time now and clearly he's trying to be more than that. He knows what I just got out of, so there's no rush.

I grabbed my stuff and headed outside. Just as I was about to get in, someone grabbed me pushing me hard into the door.

"Hey Blue."

I knew that voice anywhere. It was Cameron. I could smell the alcohol on his breath and I felt something hard against my back.

"C-C-Cameron what do you want. Y-y-you can't keep popping up like this," I said frozen in my spot.

He started to kiss my neck and I couldn't help but cry. This was a side of Cameron that I hated. Ever since we broke up he's been popping up every now and then. No one knows this but me. I thought I had it under control, but this is getting really uncomfortable.

"You looked real good dancing tonight. I miss you baby," he said pushing himself harder against me.

Bigger problem here, now he's stalking me.

"Cameron, please let me go!" I said trying to get out of his grasp. I pressed the panic button on my car and the alarm started blaring.

"Fuck Blue. You just had to do that."

He pushed off me and took off. It took me a minute to regain my composure. I couldn't help but cry. I got in my car and locked the door. I was shaking and in no position to drive. My phone started ringing scaring the mess out of me and I saw it was my mom. Dammit.

"H-hello," I answered.

"Hey baby," she said. She looked closer into the phone and went off.

"What the hell happened Blue?! Jay get in here!" She yelled for my dad and he came in the camera a few seconds later.

"Lefty, what happened? Where are you?" he asked just as upset as my mom was once he saw my tear stained face.

Seeing the both of them just made me cry harder. They didn't say anything just watched me cry. I then heard my mom singing.

I started to calm down at the sound of her voice. When my cries stopped my dad spoke again.

"Baby, where are you? Tell us where you are and we'll come to you," he said calmly.

"I-I'm at the dance studio. I just had a class and when I came out, Cameron pushed me against my car. He-he came out of nowhere. I pushed the panic button and he ran off. I just got in my car. That's where I am now. In the parking lot of the dance studio."

My dad disappeared from the camera and my mom started moving around.

"We'll be right there baby girl. Don't move okay. I'll stay on the phone with you until we get there. Just focus on my voice. Mommy's here baby. Mommy's here."
