|Blue's POV|

It's been about 4 months or so since the whole thing went down with Jr. He's been trying to get back in my parents' good graces. They've forgiven him, no doubt, but he's still grounded. My aunt Solo and grandma whooped his ass. Then once Grandma Gloria found out, he got another ass whoopin. Now he's just trying to get back to playing ball. This Summer he was working out like crazy since he couldn't play in the Summer league. My dad went as far as to not let him have any company over to play. He's been training solo dolo. To be honest, it actually works out in his favor. His mindset is different and he's stronger than ever.

My moms birthday just passed and of course Queen Bey had a birthday party. It just would be 9/4 without one. She celebrates all month long anyway.

As for me, I'm still honing my craft. Teaching classes, taking classes, choreographing for top artists. I mean, everything is going great. That is, except for my relationship.

Things between Meek and I have been pretty rocky since his birthday back in May. He had invited me to his party, of course, but then he started acting brand new around his friends. There were girls all over him and he forgot that I was there. He was drunk off his ass and in his own little world. I decided to leave. I wasn't going to stick around for all that. His party hit the tabloids with me leaving the club and the headline -

BEST THING SHE NEVER HAD?
BLUE IVY STORMS OUT OF CLUB AS BOYFRIEND DITCHES HER FOR STRIPPERS.

To say I was embarrassed was an understatement. My mom tried talking to me about it. Even my dad. I just wasn't here for anyone telling me what I should and shouldn't do in my relationship. I would figure this out my way and if I did need their advice, I would ask.

Meek tried calling me, stopped by, popped up while I was practicing, but I wasn't hearing it for a good month. Still, he sent me gifts, sent texts, told me he loved me. Yeah, love surely makes you ignore your girlfriend at your birthday party when your friends are around.

I told him I wanted space and that it'd be best for us to focus on what it is that we wanted personally and professionally. Dance is my livelihood and while I am in college, I know what I want to do. So I threw myself into dance. I wasn't checking for nobody. I did end up going out to eat with a friend, which turned into "me on a date."

What did Meek do? Flip the fuck out. He thought that space meant a break not me dating someone else. Once I explained that it was a friend, he calmed down a little bit. Mind you, he was on the East Coast and that following day after the news broke, he was at the dance studio waiting for me. He's far from a stalker. Papi is just the type to talk shit out face to face.

I did end up giving in and going on a date to talk about everything that happened over those couple of months of our "break." I laid out all my feelings, he apologized. The chemistry was still there, so we decided to give it another go. Well, really just picked up where we left off.

With both of our semesters back in full swing, we're each focused on that, but have a schedule of when we'll have dates. He chooses to come out here to me. When I go East for dancing purposes then we meet over there. Since our talk we've found balance and created a routine that works for us.

Now that I've spilled all the deets on what's been going on, let's get back to reality.
