/////I slowly blinked forcing my eyes to readjust. Quickly taking in my new surroundings. Taken straight to the Hokage's office.
Inwardly rolling my eyes at the Anbu for being so cryptic. Though to be fair basically being an errand boy for the Hokage one has to find enjoyment in the little things. I guess the possibility of spooking an Academy student was just too good to pass up.
After about a minute of silence in the rather barren room, the Hokage decided to break the silence by clearing his throat loudly. The sound eerily bounced off the dull piss yellow walls.
Tilting my head down in respect to the Hokage then relaxed into a slouch; stuffing my hands in my front pants pockets as I did so.
In a clear voice, I said, "Hokage-sama."
"What's your name child?" He asked as he steepled his fingers.
"My name is Misaki Kazame Sir," I replied smoothly.
"Do you know why your here Kazame-san?" He piqué.
He's supposed to be the Kami of Shinobi and The Professor. Known for seeing beneath the underneath.
Then he goes and asks an idiotic question as that.
Inwardly rolling my eyes again I replied, "In the fashion that I was suddenly brought here I would assume the reason ties into my ability to not faint at low levels of killing intent, Sir."
"You're correct. It was an advance test of sorts. You see we found a correlation between skilled Shinobi and killing intent. The people that grow to be great Shinobi develop a basic immunity or knack at resisting at least low volumes of killing intents when they're young," the old Hokage paused for a breath before continuing on.
"The test was to be able to find these Shinobi so that in the case that they were skilled enough they are able to get extra training. The child also will have the opportunity to graduate the academy early if they so choose. If they, of course, are able to do the graduating just us. This is so that there are no up and coming Shinobi talents getting stunted due to attending four extra years to a school in which has nothing to offer except graduation.
What this means for you is that instead of four more years of wasting your time, you can graduate early if that is your wish." He finally asked taking a deep breath of much-needed air.
"Hai." Well, I guess that solves my problem with being partnered up with the prissy Yamanaka ever again. Well hopefully.
"Make two clones if you would." He instructed.
Easy as pie. Two of me's quickly popped into existence beside me. The Hokage just watched in a mixture of amusement and surprise.
"You must have to know the fact that making solid shadow clones is a B-ranked Jutsu, adding the fact that you did it sealess and smokeless." With a twinkle in his eye.
I let a fake smile charming smile appear as I made sure to reply with a bashful tone, "Minimising the use of hand signs or just eradicating them completely is just a smart thing to do. Granted it is time-consuming to learn to do so but have those extra however many seconds could be the matter of life or death. A way for a person to get an edge on their opponent."
"All too true young one. Now, do you wish to graduate early or to stay with your class?" He asked.
Without any hesitation making up my mind on the spot. I gave my answer. "It would be an honour to be able to graduate early and join the Shinobi ranks Hokage-sama," I replied stoically
"Alright, Kazame-san. If that is your decision then who am I to stop you," he said with amusement clear in his voice. "Here's your hai'tate."
"Congratulations Misaki Kazame on becoming a Genin of Kohonagakure." He said cheerfully.
Quickly striding across space, receiving my black hai'ate from him.
Stepping a few paces back I bowed. Giving a soft, "Thank you, Sir."
