Roman had to be the best boyfriend there ever was.

He presented his love flowers nearly everyday. Sometimes they were the simple bouquet of roses, sometimes they were other flowers that symbolized admiration and adoration, and even sometimes they were the flowers most people would call weeds that popped up in between cracks in the sidewalk. His boyfriend never seemed to mind what kind of flower he brought home; he always loved the flowers even received no matter the price or size. It was proof that Roman put in effort to make him happy, and that was enough.

Roman also let him go anywhere he wanted to go on dates, even though they always ended up deciding together anyways. He appreciated the notion and care that went into those offers, and that was enough.

Roman also comforted him when he was sad. It never mattered when. Sometimes he'd break down at school, other times at home, even when they were together sometimes. Roman never cared too much about the where and when, he was right by Patton's side before he could even consider the consequences. Patton often insisted that it was unnecessary and that he could get over it himself since he was such a burden anyways. He was annoying, he was selfish, he was complaining. Roman never cared about that, he stayed right there through all the tears and yelling and held him close til' he was okay again. That was enough.

However, Roman wasn't perfect either. So Patton stuck with him through those times too. The times Roman lashed out on accident, the times he couldn't understand the math in front of his face, the times he was too anxious, Patton stuck with him through it all.

And that was enough.

Now Roman was curled in on himself. He held his knees close to himself as he cried. Patton wasn't there. And Roman preferred it that way.

Patton was very sick. He had been since Roman met him. There were times Patton's stomachs hurt so badly that he could barely move, and sometimes it ended up with him puking later. It hurt Roman to see Patton like this. So so much.

Roman was glad to hear that Patton was getting a procedure done at the hospital to find out what was wrong with him for so long.

So he was petrified for the result.

Would it be something that could fixed easily?

Or would it be something something that could kill him?
