Warning Endgame Spoiler!

Loki has been asleep for 2 days and it didn't surprise me. He's been through a lot and that's putting it lightly. Even though I've healed him it's still up to him to truly live. He's laying in the medical wing of my home on Earth or Midgard as others call it.

Thor has asked to see him but I don't think It'd be the greatest idea. He has a fever that won't seem to break causing me to stay my his bedside. I continue to dampen a cloth and place it on his sweaty forehead. He has yet to even move a finger.

I fear if the fever goes much higher I will be forced to give him an ice bath. I've already turned  down his room temperature to 60 degrees. Hoping being in cool would help. After all he is half Frost Giant. I'm sitting in a chair beside his bed as my feet have long sense grew tired of standing. My hand holding his bigger one.

"I bid you take your place in the halls of Valhalla...
Where the brave shall live forever.
Nor shall we mourn but rejoice.
For those that have died the glorious death."

I felt I should pray just once in case Loki didn't make it. For I felt my hope slipping away. Not sleeping for 48+ hours takes its toll. I don't want to close my eyes for fear I'd miss him waking but my eyes slip closed anyway.

I hear voices. That's the first thing I recognize. The second thing is I actually recognize who's voices they are.

I open my eyes having to blink a couple times. Thor immediately comes into view as he's seated next to me. I look at him and he must have seen I wasn't pleased. "I do apologize but I wished to see my brother" I couldn't be mad not at someone I thought of as an Uncle. I winced at that thought. Reminding myself this wasn't my timeline. This Thor wasn't mine, to him I was a stranger. I sighed. The rest of the Avengers wouldn't know me either but I knew them.

The other voice had been Stephen Strange surprisingly enough. He said everything was fine aside from the fever and my lack of sleep. I simply brushed him off. "He was always sick as a child" Thor said looking fondly down at Loki's form. I let myself smile. I had missed them both. I knew I was being selfish. Saving Loki would throw off this timeline greatly but I couldn't let him fall into the hands of the Chitauri again. Now he never would. He would never die.

Loki woke up that night as I finally got his fever to break. His green eyes fluttering open and lazily scanning the room. I hum in approval and continue to gently wipe his forehead.

"Where am I?" His voice is scratchy from not using it.

I stop swiping his forehead for a moment "You are in my home on Midgard" I stated softly not wanting to hurt his ears or head.

I reach over to grab a cup of water for him and he drinks like he hasn't ever seen water. I chuckle at the sight "You may stay as long as you like" He nods and closes his eyes again drifting off quickly.

I'm in the kitchen when I hear the first of the raised voices. They turn to yelling too quickly for my taste. I sigh I knew Thor and Loki would have this discussion at some point. I walk slowly down hall and I can hear the words being said more clearly.

"DO YOU TRULY THINK SO LITTLE OF ME?!"

"YOU GAVE ME NO CHOICE BUT TO DESTROY THE BRIDGE!"

I cleared my throat but neither heard.

"AFTER ALL ODIN DID-"

"HAVE CARE HOW YOU SPEAK! YOU ARE SPEAKING OF OUR KING"

Thor wasn't getting it and I felt bad for Loki. Odin didn't tell Thor a about Loki's heritage.

I walk into the room both finally notice me and stop arguing. I grab a chair near Loki's bed. I intend on looking for his wounded hands to make sure they are healing. I grab a seat by cloth and reach for his left hand only for him to react. He flinches "No! Don't touch me!" I smile sadly and try again. He tries to push himself out of my reach but I grab his thin wrist. Then gently grab his hand in mine. Nothing happens. I know what he thought that he'd hurt me. That his skin would turn blue and cold.  That his skin would hurt mine.

"Thor there is food on the stove please go and eat."

When Thor left I started to unwrap his hands as gently as I can. I look to his emerald eyes "I sent him away thought you could use a break." I chuckle quietly "He means well but sometimes even the people we love don't understand." He nodded. I start to clean them again.

As I plan to wrap them once again. "Your hands are healing nicely. I know they are important to you"  He surprises me by reaching up and placing his hand I wasn't cleaning on my cheek. My eyes meet his green ones, I realize he's studying me and I let him. I have nothing to really hide.

"My energy lies within you I can feel it"

I knew he'd find out. He's always too smart for his own good I smile and nod. I didn't tell him the only reason I had some of his "magic" was because he used the last of it he had to save me.
Movement catches my eye and I react without hesitation I pull a gun out of my waistband. Only to see Captain America.

He puts his hands up slowly "Ma'am my name is Steve Rogers. I'm a friend of Thor's." Anger rises just seeing him. I'll never forgive him for leaving Tony in Siberia or going back to be with Peggy. I put the gun back where it was, the cold metal against my hip is comforting "I know who you are." I rewrap Loki's hands and tell him to rest while I get his food.

I walk past Rogers to my kitchen where I see Tony Stark and Nick Fury talking. I sigh I'm not looking forward to this.

Finally did a part two because HayleyDBZ you asked for one months ago and I can't get this idea out of my head.
