well...HI!! this is kinda my first boyxboy story and my first story on wattpad, so i am incredibly nervous, i don't even know you guys and i am already worrying about what you will think of this!!! AAHHHH! D: ...anyways, i guess i better stop rambling so you can read and my friend dosn't kill me!!XD
~*Jace*~
I sigh and grit my teeth as the bitingly cold wind tugs viciously at my hair and clothes, whipping the zipper on my jumper. I feel like even my bones are going numb. Shivering, I drag my feet along the pavement towards the dreaded prison known as school.
Now don't get me wrong, it's not like I don't like school, I just......don't. Okay, that didn't come out quite the way I thought it would.... What I meant to say was that, well....it's school.
Don't give me that look, you know what I mean!!!! No one likes school, except for my sister, who graduated like, 500 years ago, or something. Okay, maybe, like, 6 years ago, but it's still a long time. She moved out pretty soon after that, doesn't contact us much either, not that I care, she never wanted anything to do with me in the first place.
I suppose the real reason I don't like school is because I have slight dyslexia. There, I said it. Now you know. I suppose it’s not that bad, it's only sometimes that it gets in the way, like when I have to write essays by hand, or read stuff out in class. Not to boast or anything, but I'm actually quite smart, and if it weren't for my dyslexia, I would be doing a lot better in school then I am now.
Damn, how I wish I went to Hogwarts, but NO!! I had to be born a muggle. Humph. Inconsiderate parents....
Plus it was the first day that I had been back at school for ages, after my parents decided that taking me a way for three months in the middle of the school year to see the world would be fun and educational. Huh, figures really. My parents were far too young when they had Emeralde, my sister, my mom being only 16, dad only slightly older, at the age of 17. And then, seven years later, they had me. Emeralde always used to say that i was a mistake, that I wasn't meant to happen, but all i had to say was, 'She was 16 when she had you. I'm fair sure you were the mistake,' and she'd scowl at me and march off to her room to sulk.
I was such an awesome 8 year old!
But, what I was trying to say before I started on my life story, was that my parents weren't the most responsible of parents.
Once, about three or four years ago, they left on a holiday for a week, and forgot to tell me they had gone. When they hadn’t come home by about 11 o’clock, I freaked out, like any normal 11 year old kid would. I called my best mates house, and his mom rang them and worked out what had happened. I ended up staying at his place for the week, and it was fun, but I don’t think I ever got over it. I still panic slightly if my parents aren’t there when I get home from school. I know, lame right, but I knew that my parents were irresponsible, even at the young age of 11, and that they could have been anywhere, doing anything.
I trudge through the gates of the school and I am immediately being tackled to the ground in a massive hug. I spit some red hair out of my mouth that is covering my face and manage to pant out, ‘...Can't...breath....let....go!'
My attacker, a.k.a, my best friend, climbs off me and stands with her hands on her hips.and opens her mouth. Charlie is my best friend, has been ever since my ex-bestfriend ditched me and moved to another country.
Charlie is not your average girl. She is short, about 5'4" , with coppery red hair and green eyes. She is easily excited, won't let anything get her down and hyper. She is wearing green jeans, Doc Martens and a shirt with I BITE written across the front. And trust me when I say she does, I would know. It f-ing hurts!!
She also looks like the kinda girl that would be shy and quiet, but then she opens her mouth, and the facade is gone.Just like now....
'WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!? BED EMPTY?! NO NOTE!? CAR GONE!? YOU COULD HAVE DIED! YOU COULD HAVE BEEN SEEN!' she yells. We start to get strange looks from other people in the yard, but i don't mind. I'm just so happy to see her.
I grin slightly before continuing.
'They were starving him Mom! They put bars on his window!' I cried.
'Well, you best hope I don't put bars on your window, Jace Ashbrooke!' And then she pounced on me, smashing my elbow painfully on the pavement.
‘Oww, get off!’ I whinged.
'But I missed you so much!!' she says, or rather screeches like a banshee, in my ear.
'Can't you give me a hug when I'm standing up?' I mumble into her hair, spitting pieces out.
'You're no fun, meanie!!' She jumps up off me and crosses her arms, pouting.
‘Leave him alone for a minute, Charlie. He just got back.’ The deep voice of my other best friend, Jared, brings another smile to my face. He picks me up off the pavement and hands me my bag, a small grin on his face.
‘JARED!!’ I throw my arms around his neck. He chuckles and ruffles my hair.
‘Good to see you to buddy,’
Jared is almost the exact opposite of Charlie. He’s about 6 feet tall, with dark hair and almost black eyes. He doesn’t talk much but, has a wicked sense of humour, always making things Charlie or I say sound dirty. He is also the most mature of our group, and forever seems to be picking me up off the floor when Charlie knocks me over.
He’s also Charlie’s twin brother.
Yeah. I was pretty surprised when I found out too, didn’t believe them for weeks.
Charlie waves her hand in front of my face. ‘Jace, Earth to Jace! Come in, Jace, come in!’
‘Wha-?’ Charlie and Jared stare at me. Finally Jared gestures to the school.
‘The bell’s gone. Come on, don’t want to be late!’
Charlie links her arms with mine and drags me off towards the front of the school.
“JARED!! SAVE ME!!!’ I scream.
He chuckles, ‘You’re on your own, sweetie,’
I gape at him. ‘But, but, but!! She’s your sister! You’re legally obliged to stop her from assaulting me!!!’
He rolls his eyes and keeps walking at a safe distance behind us. Charlie continues to drag me through the school like that stupid ragdoll I had as a kid. His name was Sir Gerald Arch-Smith.
The second bell rings, and my eyes widen.
‘Shoot! I’m late!’ Charlie and I tear off down the corridor, Jared quickly overtaking us both. I stick my tongue out, he flips me off. I gasp and, of course, stack it over my shoe. Great. Just what I need. A cruel snort of amusement from behind me turns my face beet-red. Charlie pulls me clumsily to my feet and I see my worst fear, my worst enemy, glaring at me in contempt.
Great. This day was going spectacularly.
