Sitting at the desk, Jimin reads a bit of Jungkook's file before glancing up. He's met with Jungkook staring at him like prey. Jimin taps his foot to prevent the chill that wants to roll down his spine.
"Why are you staring? It's not polite." Jungkook smirks at him.
"Because you're hot, Dr. P. I'd love to see all of you right now." Jimin looks in the eyes and sees a glint in them. Before he could get lost in them, he looks away. He looks down at the file before frowning.
"Why did they give you shock therapy? That isn't scheduled until next week." Jungkook chuckles, squirming a bit.
"What can I say, Dr. P? Me and the guards love to play." Jimin smiles.
"Do you like playing games, Jungkook? You like to goof around?" The patient nods with the laugh.
"Of course. Don't you, darling?" When Jimin shakes his head, an exaggerated gasp leaves Jungkook's lips. He shakes his head.
"Oh no. That's no fun, Dr. P. Playing games is good for the soul, no matter how twisted. Not playing is just a horrid way to live." Jimin scoffs, leaning back in his chair.
"Well, it's better than killing innocent people, isn't it?"
"How would you know if you've never killed anyone?" Jimin is about to say something, however, Jungkook had a point.
"It's obvious you've never killed anyone. But have you ever thought about it? Have you even imagined what it'd be like if you took the life of someone that deserved it?" Jimin looks into Jungkook's eyes as the questions were asked. The words trigger Jimin's memories, flashback from his childhood flooding his mind.
"No...no, never." Jungkook raises an eyebrow before scooting closer to the desk. He licks his lips and notices Jimin' eyes dart down to them.
"An-anyways, let me ask a few questions...first off, what brought you down this chaotic path? Why do you murder people, Jungkook?" Jungkook lays back on the settee and smiles, closing his eyes.
"Do you sing, Doctor? Your voice sounds like you sing. It's so gentle and melodic. Like a mermaid singing about the waves." Jimin frowns.
"Don't change the subject. Answer the question." Jungkook looks over at him.
"And why would I do that? So you can feed me bland sympathy and empty apologies. The 'it's not your fault' and 'I'm sorry that happened to you' cards? No thanks, babe. I'm good." He laughs. He keeps his eyes on Jimin and a small smile stayed glued to his lips.
"Why are you a psychiatrist, Doctor? You don't seem to enjoy it. Do you do it for shits and giggles, watching those patients as they spill their pain to you? Or do you validate yourself by helping these people?" Jimin's eyebrows furrow as he stares at the psychopath.
"How did y-" before he could finish his sentence, the door opens.
"Times up." They grab Jungkook and hoist him up. He looks back at Jimin.
"I'll see you next time, babe." Jungkook says before being taken out of the room. Jimin takes off his glasses before rubbing his temples.

Getting home later that day, Jimin plops onto the couch and let's out an exhausted breath. He doesn't hesitate to take off his glasses and place them on the coffee table. Jimin closes his eyes to relax. His session with Jungkook did nothing but deplete his confidence. He had begged Jaebum for this opportunity and promised that he'd be ale to change the man. It was only the first day and Jimin already thought he was going to fail.
As he sat there, dwelling in his own thoughts, he hears the front door open.
"Hey Chim. How was work? What was the Joker like?" Jimin sighs before shaking his head.
"That man...he's...something else. He avoids my questions and can't stay focused. It's like I'm questioning a toddler." Seokjin roughs up his hair and it's then when Jimin notices the grocery bags in his hands.
"What's that?" He asks, looking over when Seokjin goes into the kitchen.
"Since it was your first day with that freak, I assumed he'd be a handful so I'm cooking your favorite food tonight." Jimin hops up from the couch to hug his brother.
"I swear you're the best brother ever." Seokjin scoffs with a laugh.
"I'm your only brother." The two laugh before Jimin goes to shower while Jin prepared dinner.
When he returns, Seokjin is placing the food in the table. When they sit, Jimin thanks him for the meal before digging in.
"I know I told you this already, Chim, but just remember to play it safe with him." Jimin sighs, putting down his fork.
"Jin...you should know that I'm better than to let him get to me. I thought you trusted me." Seokjin averts his eyes.
"I want to trust you. I just don't want you to go back to the person you used to be. Before me and mom took you in...the person you were...it was horrifying, Jimin. I don't want you to lower yourself again when you've gotten so much stronger." Jimin bites on his lower lip.
"Yeah. You don't have to remind me of how much of a horrible person I was." Seokjin sees the hurt look on his brother's face. He sighs as he mentally face palms himself.
"Damn...I didn't mean it that way. I was just t-"
"How about we just stop talking about this? This dinner was supposed to help me relax right?" Seokjin looks at him, grabbing Jimin's hand.
"I'm sorry. Let's watch some TV, yeah?" Jimin nods, keeping his tears in as he pushed his memories away.
"Yeah. That sounds good." Seokjin smiles at him before getting up to turn the TV on. As soon as dinner is over, Jimin goes into his room and balls himself up under his comforter. He squeezes his eyes shut to stop himself from crying. He failed miserably.
After what seemed like hours, which had only been minutes, his bedroom door opens. The weight of the bed shifts and he feels Seokjin holds onto him.
"It's okay. You know I'd never hurt your feelings intentionally. I should have watched my words. But I love you, Jimin. You know that'll never change. You're my brother." Jimin sniffs before turning over.
"Do you mean that?" Seokjin smiles.
"Of course. I'll love you forever." Jimin sniffs again before he cries harder, soft sobs leaving his lips. Seokjin couldn't help but laugh.
"Awe my poor baby." Jimin hits him in his chest for teasing him. Seokjin wipes his brother's face when he finally looks up.
"I really am sorry." He says softly. Jimin nods, sniffing again.
"I know..." Seokjin hugs him close to comfort him.
