"Min Photo Productions. Min Yoongi speaking."
"Hey, Yoongi," Seokjin says onto the phone as he leaves work for the day, "it's Seokjin. You think we could meet up later and talk."
The line is a bit quiet before he hears the younger sigh."Is this about Taecyeon?" He asks, his voice about low. Seokjin assumes he's in a public setting.
"It is. But, this is for my own curiosity. Not for the case." The line grows quiet again as Seokjin tosses his bag into his backseat. He, then gets in the drivers seat.
"Fine. Meet me downtown in 30 at the coffee shop we use to hang at." Yoongi says before hanging up. Frowning, Seokjin looks down at his phone in confusion before placing it in one of the empty cup holders.
As he drove down the highway, his mind swirled with questions.
How did Taecyeon know Yoongi personally and why was Yoongi so nervous about it?
Was it something that could get him in trouble?
Was it illegal?
He lets his mind wander until he pulls into the coffee shop's parking lot. Hearing the bell as he entered, he smiles at the woman who welcomes him. It doesn't take much to spot Yoongi, who was ordering at the counter.
"Hey..." Yoongi greets, nervously as he's handed back his change. Seokjin offers a genuine smile.
"Hey...you can relax, Yoongi. I promise there's nothing to worry about." Yoongi doesn't reply, only averting his eyes before going to find a seat in the far corner. Seokjin takes a deep breath before ordering a plain coffee and following him.
When he takes his seat, he notices Yoongi tapping at the coffee cup nervously. No doubt he was shaking his leg as well. It was an old habit of his that Seokjin remembered.
"So what's going on? Whatever was going on has got you nervous and I'm worried...is it illegal or something?" Seokjin asks. Yoongi snaps his head up and looks at him in surprise.
"No. No, of course not. It's just...it's pretty awful and horrible...God, I'm so stupid." He says before running his hands through his hair.
"Talk to me, Yoongi. What is it between you two?"
Yoongi raising his coffee and take a long drink from it before clearing his throat.
"Um...do you remember when I disappeared after high school?" He asks him, trying hard not to bite on his lip. Seokjin nods immediately.
"Of course I do. I was pretty worried, but your parents said that you went to college out of the country."
"Yeah...that wasn't true at all...I...that's around the first time I met Taecyeon." He takes another sip from his drink before moving it away.
"My parents weren't too happy with how my grades turned out in high school and they weren't willing to pay for college because of them. So they sent me to my grandfather's up north. My grandfather lived in the city and I'm the apartment next door to his...was Taecyeon's. We met soon after I moved in and things escalated...quickly."
Seokjin frowns I'm thought as he processes what he's being told. When it hits him, he looks at his former friend in shock.
"You mean you and Taecyeon were...a couple." Yoongi nods hesitantly.
"Yeah. He was in college at the time, but we still managed to spend a lot of time together. But then, he graduated 3 years after and he had to move out. His deal with the university was up so he had to leave to prepare for the next student who was to live there. I was so heartbroken...so stupid." Seokjin noticed the single tear the behind to fall down Yoongi's cheek, however the smaller wipes it away within seconds.
