Seokjin rubs at his temples and sighs, leaning back in his chair.
It's been weeks since his brother went missing and he was terrified, worried, and most of all...stressed. The Joker, of all people, took Jimin and it scared him what was being done to him. Knowing the Joker, he'd probably show him no mercy.
"Hey, you look like you need a break." He looks over and sees Taehyung coming over, a coffee and bagel in his hand. Seokjin thanks him before taking them.
"I just need to find him. God I knew I shouldn't have let him evaluate the damn Joker. Not after who he used to be." Taehyung leans in the desk and looks at him, crossing his arms.
"What...what was he like before?" He asks out of curiosity. Seokjin sighs, looking at the photo of he and Jimin on his academy graduation day. He smiles.
"In all honestly...he was a lot like the Joker...in many ways." Taehyung's eyebrows raise.
"How?"
"Everyone here knows that my father put my brother through shit. Complete hell. It broke him and he was left to put himself back together. And it was chaos from them. He stole from any place he came across. The school, the drug store...even me and my mother. He had no care for anyone and it was like he barely had any emotions. Anger and happiness. That was all he felt and it was scary. Especially when he got angry."
Seokjin looks down, trying to prevent himself from crying.
"When he got angry...god, he was a monster. He hurt so many people...and showed no remorse, no guilt. I can't even count how many people he's almost killed. He's even hurt our mother before..." Taehyung sighs, looking away for a bit.
"How did you fix him?"
"I still don't how I managed to change him. No therapist could help him, so for me to do so...I kept my eye on him. I felt in my heart that the change was only temporary." He says. He sniffs and wipes his cheeks quickly, ridding it of the single tear that fell. Taehyung reaches over to his desk and grabs tissue and hands it to him.
"So what are you scare of exactly: that the Joker is hurting him or that he'll cause him to go back to who he used to be?" Seokjin looks up at him, feeling more tears roll down his face.
"Both...I'm afraid of both."
Before either of them continue to talk, the radios on their desks go off at the same time.
"Robbery in progress at Gotham City Bank! 10-65!"
Seokjin wipes his face as the both stand up. Once in their vests and are armed, they rush to the car and leave the station. Taehyung decides to drive, since Seokjin was distracted, mentally.
When they arrive, they see a van pull off immediately, a joker's symbol spray-painted in the side. Seokjin sits up.
"It's him! Let's go!" Taehyung, in the blink of an eye, moves the stick shift in its proper places before speeding off after the van. Within seconds, The Joker's minions were firing at them with guns. Taehyung sighs, the bullets bouncing off the bulletproof window.
"Should they know by now that we've upgraded?" Seokjin spots someone coming out of the van's sunroof. He wasn't a minion he'd seen before.
"Who the hell is that?" Taehyung asks. Seokjin scoffs before reaching into his holster and pulling out his gun. He takes off his seatbelt.
"Don't swerve." He warns Taehyung before rolling down the window. He pulls half his body out the window and begins firing at them. He shoots one in the shoulder and it causes them to drop their gun. He then points the gun at the clown at the top of the car. Before he could, the clown lifts a duffle bag up in the air and money flies out.
