"We'll go down in history
You will remember me,
Remember me
For centuries"
Centuries-Fall Out Boy

I couldn't leave her, Bella was my responsibility now, and I had to take care of her.
I got inside my car.

"Bella, I don't think I can just leave you in the woods. It-"

"What do you mean? I have to look for my dad!"

"Bella, he's gone, I'm sorry to say it, but even if he was alive, he'd be one of those vampire things. And if he was, he would be killed by now, making him a pile of dust or ash. I think he would have wanted you to escape, his daughter."

She let my words sink in, "Jackson," she looked at me, "just drive, okay?"

Driving in the neighborhood was traumatic. I could tell Bella was scared. There were screams and cries, broken in houses. It was terrible.

"Where are you headed?" Bella asked, trying to get our minds off of what was going on.

"Out of town, duh," I replied sarcastically.

She rolled her eyes, "You know what I mean."

"Well Bella," I stated, "right now I plan to get out of town, so right now I'm not exactly sure."

"So...you don't have a plan," she looked at me.

"I didn't say I didn't have a plan, I said I didn't know where I'm going. There's a difference."

"Are vampires considered dead?" I asked. She looked at me in disbelief.

"Look, you said no questions or anything, so just keep driving."

"Bella..." I trailed off, and just kept driving, getting closer and closer. I really hoped she'd realize what she wanted was wrong. I could tell we were similar, considering we were both stubborn.

"I'm getting some sleep," she announced, and snuggled up against the seat.

"I'll wake you when we get in the woods."

As I kept driving and driving, I knew I wasn't going to just let her go, but then again, it would basically be a burden lifted from me. I couldn't make the decision though, it was up to her.

Finally, I had made to the woods. Deep down, I knew I left her alone and she would get into trouble, and things wouldn't end well. Sure she had her weapons and all, but I didn't want to be responsible for another death of a Coleman family member.

I pulled to the side of the road. The road looked deserted. Not a car drove by. The sudden stop awoke Bella.

"Welcome back to the world Bella."

"Is it any better, Jackson?"she joked, was she actually making a joke?

"Nope, it's still pretty crappy," I joked back.

"Then don't wake me up until it's better," she teased, but stayed put outside of the car.

"Yeah, we-" I was cut off by a growl, Bella gave me a strange look, she heard it to, "what was that?"

She shrugged her shoulders and carefully made her way toward the car. I followed her lead. She avoided the windows incase there was anything that would spot her on the other side. When the girl opened the door, I carefully reached for a hand gun.

"Stay put, you know where the weapons are, but don't use it unless you need to," I whispered to Bells.

The statement got me another growl. I made my way over to the other side of the car, which seemed to be the source of noise. There was a dark creature not too far away. It had a victim on the ground. The monstrous creature was feasting on the body. As if the vein in the person's neck wasn't enough, the thing probably felt the need to go looking for more in the body.

The victim was long gone. It's neck was spattered in blood. The disgusting scene showed it's torso open with the so called vampire sucking anything internal that contained blood.

It looked up at me. The perimeter of it's mouth was blood-stained. I took in a deep breath and before the creature could attack, a bullet of mine was shot in it's forehead.

"Jackson!!" I heard Bella cry for help.

I ran over to her, she was okay thankfully, "what?! What is it?!"

She pointed to a line of dark shadows that came closer and closer, "those, Jackson, what do I do?! I-I don't know if I ca-" she panicked.

I looked at her, "Bella, you can do this. Your dad believes in you, do it for him. Get your revenge."

She nodded after a second, "hand me that rifle."

I handed her the rifle I had and grabbed my bow and arrows. I held it in hand and wait for the dark shadows to come closer.

"Come out, come out, wherever you are," sung one of them.

The vampire next to him slumped to the ground and vanished. I could tell Bella wasn't one to play games. She shot off another bullet and one more vampire disappeared.

"Feisty little girl," spat the creature.

She glared at him and continued to take out as many vampires as she could. I saw this as a chance to move. I got into the car, the engine reared loudly. Thankfully, Bella had taken out the monsters, all that was left was the talking one. He moved around to quickly, so I could see Bells couldn't get a clear shot. I, however, took this as an opportunity, and an idea came to mind.

Stepping on the gas, the car moved and before the vampire could jump its way out of my track, it was hit, by me. Bella them finished it off by giving a clear shot to the head. As the vampire faded away, she looked out the window, and the car sped off into the distance. After a far enough distance, I stopped, and it seemed that everything was still for a moment.

"Sorry I missed your, uh, stop, back there," I apologized.

"You were right," she agreed, "I'm sorry, I think we should team up, if that's okay?"

"I'm sure that's what your dad would have wanted," I responded. She had reached the final stage of her grief, and that was acceptance.
