Hello fellow people of Wattpad! It's been a while, I thank those who are reading right now! Here's a brand new chapter, despite the long wait. I hope you enjoy it! (:

"I'm walking up
I feel it in my bones.
Enough to make my system blow.
Welcome to the new age."-Radioactive-Imagine Dragons

So we drove, well I did. Bella didn't dare sleep again, maybe it was her adrenaline that keep her awake, or rather a fear of another vampire attack. The car ride to wherever we were going was as silent as a ghost town, pardon the pun. Of course, we kind of glanced at each other awkwardly, but that was it. It was only a matter of time until one of us could break the silence. It was kind of ironic how we could take down and kill blood-sucking beasts, but couldn't start a conversation. I took a deep breath.

"Bella," I started, she looked over to me.

"Yes?"

"Um, nice weather we're having..." I said, what was I thinking.

She looked at me, and after a few seconds, she just started laughing! It started out as a small chuckle, then a few minutes later she was full on, laughing and snorting, which just made me laugh!

"Oh, Jackson," was all she could get out.

I just smiled and continued on drivin' down the road, which was as empty as could be. That's when I got an idea, "Bella, how old are you?"

"Don't you know it's rude to ask a woman her age?"

I rolled my eyes, but I was glad to have the old sarcastic Bella back, "oh, you are not a woman just yet."

She glared at me, "I'm thirteen."

"Perfect," I said and I pulled over.

"Jackson....what are you doing?"

"Well, when I was thirteen, I had my first driving lesson, which is what I am going to give you."

"But, I can't even reach the pedals! I have no knowledge of driving, I've always had someone else do it for me!"

"Not anymore, don't worry, I'm a good teacher."

We both got out of the car and switched sides. I looked over at her, and she looked at me, "well?"

"Oh. Okay, so what you're first going to do is, adjust your seat and your mirrors," I explained. I then realized I would have to adjust them myself, once I started driving, but oh well. I watched her do that, and she then looked at me for guidance.

"What do I do next, Jackson?"

"Put on your seatbelt, of course. Don't you know any of this stuff?"

"I'm only thirteen!"

"No excuse," I teased, "now look around for any cars, or um, pedestrians." She turned around anyway, even though we were in the middle of no where.

"Do I shift into reverse now?" I nodded, and she shifted the car into reverse, and we abruptly shifted backwards.

"Easy Bells, driving is like, well it's like drinking."

"Bad metaphor, very bad metaphor."

"Well, when you drink something, you don't shove it down your throat, unless you're dying of thirst. You ease whatever you are drinking slowly, so you don't choke or cough. When backing up, you should do it slowly, don't be a crazy driver! Unless, of course, you have to be, like if you're in danger, or metaphorically, 'dying of thirst' yo-"

"Yeah, what next," she cut me off, but, she did back up slowly, so smoothly I didn't even notice.

"Turn on to the road, I think you're ready."

"But, I literally just learned what to do, what do you mean you think I'm ready?!" Bella exclaimed.

"Bella, don't be afraid. If there's anyone who could do this, I know it's you. There's no one else out here."

She looked at me, and turned onto the road, as smoothly as possible. I think that's when the shock sunk in, that I had enough confidence in her, that she had enough trust in me. I think that's when we decided the past was the past, and we were all we had. I had her back, and she had mine, and that's all we could ask for.
