"I'm ready." I said, looking at her. She nodded her head and made a staff appear in front of her. It glowed and she erased my memory all the way up until I found the capitol and the part when I asked her to erase my memory. ""Thanks. I think?" I said, looking at her. She made her staff disappear and helped me up. We headed back towards the capitol walls since it was getting dark. "Angela you can head inside. We want to talk to this mage." One of the guards said, looking at me. "I'll meet you at the tailor." Angel said, walking inside. "Why were you walking back with Angela?" The other guard said, looking at me. "We're friends. Is that a crime?" I asked, sarcastically. "Watch that tone with us. We can have you thrown in the dungeon." The guard said, looking at me. "For what?!" I said, looking at him. "Grayson calm down. The girl is just defending herself." The other guard said, looking at me. "Jace I won't calm down. She has no reason to talk back to us." Grayson said, looking at me with anger in his eyes. I could feel the anger in him, growing. "Grayson go get some rest." Jace said, looking at Grayson. "But I- That's an order." Jace interrupted. Grayson walked off mumbling to himself. "Sorry about Grayson. He's always like that. I'm Jackson the head guard here. What's your name?" Jace asked, looking at me. "I'm Katherine but you can call me Kat. It's nice to meet you Jackson." I said, smiling. "Nice to meet you- Jace stopped dead in his sentence and looked around. My ears twitched and perked right up. "There." I said, pointing to the trees. Shadow souls started coming out of the trees. "Kat. Run to the guard tower and get the other guards. I'll hold them off." Jace said, running over and attacking them. I ran inside the village, past the tailor, and into the guard tower. "What's wrong?" One of the guards said, looking up at me. "Jace. Shadow Souls. Forest." I said, breathing heavily. "Breath then speak." He said, looking at me. "Me and Jace were talking then Shadow Souls came out of the forest. He told me to run and get help. Quickly. Follow me." I said, running out of the guard tower and back to the front gate. Jace was lying on the ground bleeding. "Katherine. Get Jace out of here. We'll take care of them." The guard said, looking at me. I nodded my head, ran over, picked Jace up, and ran inside the walls. "Everything's going to be ok." I said, carrying him to Angel's tailor. I knocked on the door. "Kat? What happened?" She noticed Jace in my arms. "Come in. Set him on the bed in the back." Angel said, moving out of the doorway. I set him on the bed in the back. I grabbed my staff and made it glow. "Please. Please. Please work." I said, starting to cry. Tears rolled down my cheeks and onto Jace's arm and chest. My staff glowed and so did the tears that landed on him. He was healed just enough so he would live. After my staff stopped glowing I fainted. I woke up in my room at the inn. "How are you feeling after last night?" Jace asked, looking at me. "Huh? Jace? How are you feeling?" I said, sitting up and noticing his broken arm. "Let me heal your arm or at least try." I said, looking at him. "I can't let you do that. You already saved my life and your weak because of it. Just rest." Jace said, standing up. "Ok. I'll just try and get some rest." I said, laying back down. "See you later." Jace said, walking out of the room and closing it softly. I fell back to sleep hoping that Jace would be okay. I woke up the next day. I still felt a little weak but I wanted to go check up on Jace and the other guards. They're either at the front entrance or at the guard tower. I figured to check at the front gate first. I grabbed a dress out of the closet. I changed my clothes then tied my staff to my back. I went downstairs and saw Ky at the desk with Clark. "Hey Kat. How are you feeling?" Ky asked, looking up at me. "I'm just tired. That's all." I said, looking at Ky. "At least you're up and moving around." Clark said, smiling. I smiled back. "I'm guessing you're looking for Jace? He's at the front gate talking to Grayson and Mya." Ky said, looking through his papers. "Ok. I'll be off then. See you guys later." I said, walking out of the building. I walked over to the front gate and saw that Grayson didn't have his helmet on. It must be a special occasion or something. I wonder what though. "Hey guys. How are you feeling Jace?" I asked, looking at him. "Oh. Hi Kat. This is Mya and you already know Grayson." Jace pointed to a woman that was a little taller than me. She had blonde hair and green eyes. "I'm doing good. Mya, this is the girl I told you about." Jace said, looking at me. "Hi?" I said, looking at Mya. "Hi." Mya said, staring at me with anger in her eyes. "I'm gonna head to Angel's tailor shop. I'll see you guys later." I said, walking off. "Grayson, I don't like that "Kat" girl one bit." Mya whispered, as I walked off. I walked to the tailor shop and saw a note on the door. "Kat. I figured you might come and want to chat. I'm in the building right next door. That's where I live. See you soon. From Angel." I put the note in my pocket and walked next door. I knocked on the door and Angel answered it. "Come in." She said, opening the door. "Your house is beautiful." I said, looking around. "Thanks." Angel said, smiling. We both sat down at the table and talked for hours. "Then when I was walking away from them I heard Mya say that she doesn't like me one bit. Did I do something to make her angry?" I asked, looking at her. "It's not you. Last time a mage came to this town, they were evil. The mage killed half of the people and left the other half injured badly." Angel said, looking at me. I looked down at my hands. "I'm not saying you'd do that!" Angel said, grabbing my hands. "I know you won't." Angel said, smiling. I smiled back at her as the sun just started to be right above us. "Why do none of the guards have helmets on? Aren't they supposed to?" I asked, looking at Angel. "It's a special occasion so they're allowed to not have their helmets on for the whole week. Every so often there is special occasions and the guards don't have to wear their helmets. This week is the week of love." Angel said, blushing. "Who do you like?" I said, smiling at the thought of Angel blushing over a guy. "Grayson. We've been friends since we were both twelve and we both ran away and came here." Angel said, looking out the window and staring at Grayson. "That's so cute." I said, looking at her. "Who do you like?" Angel asked, looking back at me. "I don't really know." I said, looking out the window. "Oh come on. Who do you think about when you first wake up and before you got to sleep, since you came here?" Angel asked, looking at me. "I-I guess that would be Jace." I said, blushing. "There we go." Angel said, laughing. I started laughing as well. We both stopped laughing when we heard a knock on the door. It was Grayson. "Kat. Someone is asking for you at the front gate." Grayson said, walking off. I looked at Angel. This couldn't be good. Angel and I both went to the front gate to see who asked about me. "Are you Katherine?" A man asked, looking at me. "Kat. But yes I am. Who might you be?" I asked, looking at him. "Your worst nightmare." He said, aiming a ball of black darkness at me. I took a step back just to run into another man. "Leave her alone right now!" Jace said, pulling out his sword. Grayson and Mya did the same. The man behind me grabbed my hands and held them tight. The black ball of darkness hit me then the men disappeared. I fell to the ground as my arms were covered in the black dust. "Kat!" Jace said, dropping his sword and running over to me. Mya and Grayson just stood there staring at the black dust that was on my arms. "Are you ok?" Angel said, kneeling down next to me. I tried to speak but I failed, it just made my throat hurt. "Is she ok?" Jace asked, looking at me then Angel. "I honestly don't know. It doesn't seem like she can speak or even move." Angel said, looking at me. Tears started forming in my eyes. "It's ok. Everything will be alright." Jace said, wiping away the tears. His arm glowed and healed. "Kat. Did you just?" I smiled. "Thank you. Let's get you back to your room at the inn." Jace said, picking me up. I laid my head on his arm as he carried me to the inn. "Jace? Kat? What happened?" Ky said, looking at us. "Angel can fill you in. For now. I need to get Kat to her room." Jace said, looking at Ky. "Room number two." Ky said, pointing up the stairs. "Thank you." Jace said, carrying me up the stairs and into my room. He laid me on the bed and covered me with the blanket. After Angel told Ky what happened, she came into my room and put my staff in the closet. I fell asleep a couple minutes later but I could still hear their conversation. "You can head back home. I'm gonna stay with Kat." Jace said, looking at me. "Ok. I'll come check up on you guys later." Angel said, walking out of the room and closing the door. After Angel closed the door I couldn't hear anything, it was quiet. I woke up the next day or at least I think it was the next day. I looked at the chair next to the bed and saw that Jace was asleep. I looked out the window and it was just turning day. Jace started waking up and smiled when he saw me awake. "How are you?" Jackson said, looking at me. I stared at him with a blank expression on my face. "Oh yeah. You can't speak. Umm. Do you know how to communicate when your in your cat form?" Jace asked, looking at me. I looked at him curious. "Do you know how to transform into a cat?" Jace asked, looking at my ears. I slowly nodded my head. "Can you transform into a cat then we can communicate a little better." Jace said, looking at me. I nodded my head slowly again and transformed into a cat. Something inside my closet started to glow. I looked at my closet then at Jace. "You want me to open it?" Jace said, looking at me. I nodded my head. He opened my closet and saw my staff glowing. After the staff stopped glowing I could easily talk to Jace while I was a cat. It was so much easier. My staff glowed and made it so people could understand me while I was a cat. I was so happy. Jace closed the closet and looked at me. "What are you staring at Jace?" I said, as I was playing with my tail. "Sorry. Err. Wait. You can speak while you're a cat?" Jace said, looking at me. "Yeah. I guess I can. I just can't stay in my cat form all day. Only for half of the day then I transform back into a human or well meif'wa." I said, looking at Jace. "Do you want to go outside and get some air? I can carry you while your in your cat form so no one steps on you." Jace said, looking at me. I started to blush. "S-sure." I said, looking at him. Jace started to blush when he picked me up. We walked downstairs and over to the desk. "Why do you have a cat in your arms. You know we don't allow cats in here Jace." Clark said, looking at me. "Hurtful." I said, hissing at him. "Erm. Katherine. Is that you?" Clark said, staring at me. "Yes it's me and it's hurtful that you don't allow cats in here! I'm a meif'wa I can transform from human to cat at will!" I said, staring at him. I turned and faced the door then looked up at Jace. Jace and I both went out the front door and into the little area with grass and flowers outside of the inn. I ran around in the grass as Jace sat down by the wall and watched. I ran up to him and dropped a flower on his lap than ran off. "Thanks." Jace said, looking at the flower and blushing. It was a red tulip and it matched his guard armor. "Hi Jace. I thought you'd be in Kat's room with her." Angel said, sitting down next to him. "She's actually over here." Jace pointed to me in the grass. "She's cute when she's a cat." Jace said, blushing. "I almost forgot that she can turn into a cat." Angel said, laughing. I grabbed a orange tulip and ran over to Angel. I dropped the flower on her lap and smiled. "Thanks Kat the cat." Angel said, putting the flower in her hair. We all started laughing. "Your welcome for the flower." I said, trying not to laugh so much. We stopped laughing and just smiled. "I'm gonna get back to the tailor shop. I need to finish making all the clothes. See you two later." Angel said, getting up and walking off. I curled up in a ball by Jace. He started petting me while I purred. "Hi Jace. How's Katherine doing? Uhh. Where did this cat come from?" Grayson asked, looking at me. I poked my head up and looked at Grayson. "She's doing great and Kat is actually this cat." Jace said, laughing. "Is this supposed to be a joke?" Grayson asked, looking at me. "Nope." Jace said, looking at me. "You're telling me that this little cat is Katherine." Grayson said, picking me up by my scruff. "I wouldn't pick her- Put me down or I'll scratch your eyes out." I said, interrupting Jace. Grayson dropped me and I landed on my feet. "Sorry." Grayson said, staring at me. I hissed at Grayson then he ran off. "So much for the fearless Grayson." Jace said, laughing. "Yeah." I said, laughing. "Your laugh is cute." Jace said, blushing. "Th-thanks." I said, blushing. "It's almost mid-day. I have to get back to my room before I transform back." I said, running around Jace. "Don't worry. Come here." Jace picked me up. "How about you stay at my house for a while. I can get your stuff for you tonight." Jace said, looking at me. "O-ok." I said, smiling. Jace carried me to his house and we went inside. He set me on a bed and I transformed back. "If you want I can go get your stuff now and set up your room. Until you get back on your feet." Jace said, looking at me. "That would be very kind of you. Thank you." I said, falling asleep. "Your welcome." Jace whispered, while covering me up. I woke up two hours later and saw that I was in a new room. "Hey. Did you sleep well?" Jace asked, looking at me. I nodded my head. "I stopped by the market place and got you something to get around without having to be a cat all the time." Jace said, rolling a wheelchair into the room. I smiled as Jace picked me up and put me in the wheelchair. "Here's a blanket just in case you get cold." Jace said, laying a blanket across my lap. We went outside and Jace showed me around the village. He showed me where the market was, and the plaza with the statue of Queen Stacey. She looked beautiful. We sat by the flower gardens and watched the birds. "Hey. Um. Kat. I know we only knew each other for almost three weeks now but um. Will you be my girlfriend?" Jace said, holding a purple tulip. I nodded my head and smiled. Jace hugged me then put the flower in my hair. Something fell out of the flower and landed on my hand. It was a little purple gemstone in the shape of a heart. It glowed and made the black dust disappear and I was able to move my body again but I still couldn't speak. My ears twitched as someone snuck up behind us. I stood up, spun around, and knocked them onto the ground. "I hate it when you do that." The man said, looking at me. Jace helped me up and the man stared at us. "Stacey please come back." The man said, looking at me. "Who are you and how did you get inside the walls?" Jace said, looking at the man. "My name is Garroth. One of the guards at the front let me in. now please. Stacey come back home." Garroth said, looking at me. I transformed into a cat. "I don't know who you are. I am not this Stacey person you are talking about so leave me alone!" I said, as my staff appeared next to me. "Stacey please." Garroth said, looking at me. "That's it." I made my staff glow. "Enophan (In-oh-f-an)." I said, erasing Garroth's memory of ever seeing me as Kat. After I did that I teleported Garroth back to where ever he came from. My staff disappeared, I transformed back into a human, and fell asleep. I woke up in Jace's arms. "Heh. You're cute when you're asleep." Jace said, putting me down. I started to blush. "Thanks for agreeing to be my girlfriend. I know it's hard for you since you can't speak. I want you to know I'm always going to be here for you." Jace said, smiling and holding my hand. I laid my head on his shoulder as we walked to Jace's house. We went inside and sat at the table. "Would you like something to eat?" Jace asked, looking at me. I nodded my head. "Ok. Hmm." Jace looked through the fridge. "Do you like fish? Err sorry. That's probably offensive. What about cake? I have a bunch of different types." Jace looked at me and I smiled. "Do you like chocolate cake with vanilla star candy?" Jace looked at me. I nodded my head and smiled. "Ok then. Cake it is." Jace said, laughing. I tried to speak but my throat just started to hurt even more.. "It's ok. Just don't worry about trying to speak. If you need anything, you know how to talk to me." Jace said, cutting a piece of cake and giving it to me. I smiled as Jace smiled. Warmth filled my heart and I could feel my throat hurting less and less every time I get a little more love in my heart for Jace. Wait that was it. The way I could get better was to fall even more in love with Jace. It was hard not to. He was kind, helpful, and so sweet. We sat together and ate cake as the sun started to set. It was the last night of the week of love. "Hey Kat. Come outside with me. I want to show you something." Jace said, standing up. I followed him outside and up a hill. I had no idea what he wanted to show me. "It's actually what I wanted to give you." Jace said, handing me two small boxes that were wrapped in pink paper with a purple bow tied onto them. "Pick one to open first. Then you can open the second one afterwards." Jace said, as I chose the box on the left. I opened the box and saw a purple butterfly hairpin. I started to tear up from how happy I was. I hugged him. "That's not even the best part." Jace said, handing me the second box. It was four times the size of the other one. I opened the box and found a kitten. "Since your a meif'wa, I figured you might like a kit." Jace said, realizing what he just said and blushing. "Jace that is so sweet." I gasped. "I can speak!" I said, looking at him. "Kat, I'm so happy for you." Jace said, hugging me. "Jace. I have something for you as well." Jace looked at me as I made a box appear in front of me. "Just a little gift." I said, handing him the box. It was the same size box that the kitten came in. Jace opened it and found a wolf pup. "Since your a wolf I figured you might want a wolf pup." I said, blushing after what I just said. "How did you know- That you were a wolf? I could sense it." I said, laughing. I picked up the kitten and looked at her. She kinda looked like she could be a meif'wa child. I ignored it and held her in my arms. Jace put the wolf pup on his lap and picked up the butterfly hairpin and put it in my hair. I smiled as we sat and watched the sunset. "Hey Kat?" I looked at Jace. "I would appreciate it if you didn't tell anyone I was a werewolf." Jace said, petting the wolf pup. "I love you for you." I put Jace's hood down. "I won't tell." I said, kissing Jace on the lips. "Eew." Two voices said, looking at us. "Huh?!" Jace and I said, looking at the kitten and the wolf pup. "Hehe. Oops." They said, looking up at us. "Can you go into your human forms. Since we know you're not just a kitten and a wolf pup." Jace asked, looking at them. They nodded and transformed into humans. "Thank you for adopting us. Well. Sorta. Sorry we didn't tell you." The boy said, looking at us. "It's ok. What are your names?" I asked, looking at them. "I'm Neko. And I'm Wren." They said, smiling. "Nice to meet you two. Welcome to the family." We said, smiling. I picked up Neko and Jace picked up Wren. We walked back to the house and went inside. "I'll make their beds. Can you hold Wren. He fell asleep. By the looks of it, so did Neko. Umm. Do you mind sharing a room with Neko. I'll share one with Wren." Jace said, whispering. "Sure thing. I don't mind." I whispered back, holding Wren and Neko. Jace set up their beds and came back out. "Let's put them in their beds. Then head to bed ourselves." Jace whispered, picking up Wren. Jace put Wren in his bed and covered him with a blanket. Then went to sleep. I closed his bedroom door and went to my room holding Neko. I closed the door behind us, softly. I laid Neko on her bed and covered her with the blanket then went to bed myself. I started having a nightmare. "Leave Jace alone!" I said, blocking him from the two mysterious men. "Get them out of here." I said, looking at Jace over my shoulder. He nodded his head. Jace picked up the kids and ran off. "Stay here and don't move." Jace said, hiding them in a cave. Jace came back and found one of the men on the ground and the other one pinning me to the ground. "Kat! Get off of her." Jace said, knocking the man off of me. Jace helped me up. "Are you ok?" Jace asked, looking at me. "Other than my ears and tail, yeah I'm ok." I said, trying to bend my ears and tail back in place but failed and made them hurt even more. The bones in my ears and tail were broken and I could barely hear Jace. "The kids are hidden in a cave near where we were last night. Go there. I'll take care of this last guy and meet you there." Jace said, running off. I woke up breathing heavily. "Mom are you ok? Neko said, looking at me. "Sorry. Did I wake you up Neko?" I said, walking over to her. "No. I was already awake. It's noon come eat some lunch with us." Neko said, grabbing my hand. "Of course." I said, walking into the kitchen with Neko. "What would you two like for lunch?" Jace asked, looking at me and Neko. "Sweets please." Me and Neko said, at the same time. We both laughed. "Is it just me or do meif-wa's like sweets?" Jace said, grabbing cookies out of the cupboard and pouring two glasses of milk. "Most meif-wa's like sweets." I said, picking Neko up and putting her on a chair. Jace laughed and handed both me and Neko the plate of cookies and a cup of milk. We all sat and ate lunch together. "Tonight is a full moon so I was wondering if I could take Wren out tonight to teach him how to howl at the moon." Jace said, picking up all the dishes, bringing them over to the sink, and washing them. "Sure thing. Just be careful." I said, looking at Jace. "We will." Jace said, finishing the dishes. "Kids. Why don't you two go play outside for a but." Jace said, looking at them. I picked them up and set them on the ground. "Ok." They said, running off out the door. Jace kissed me on the cheek. "Love you. "Love you two." I said, as Jace walked out the door. I went in my room and grabbed out a different dress. I unfolded it and was about to change my clothes when a piece of paper fell onto the floor. I unfolded the piece of paper. "Dear Kat, be warned. Do not and I repeat DO NOT go outside on the night of a full moon, don't look at the moon, and don't look at the moon's reflection. It can be dangerous for your kind and I don't mean your meif'wa kind." The note never said who it was from. I put the note away and changed into the dress. I looked in the mirror and brushed my hair. After that I braided my hair and put the hairpin in. I went outside and sat next to Jace on a bench as Neko and Wren played in the grass. "Hi Jace. Why aren't you on duty? Wait. Where did these two kids come from?" Mya asked, looking at Jace. "Oh. It's you." Mya said, just noticing me. "Do you have a problem with my mommy?" Wren said, walking up to Mya. "Your mother?" Mya said, staring at me. Mya mumbled under her breath and walked off. "I'm gonna go see Angel. I'll be back before dinner." I said, hugging Jace. "Ok. Hurry back." Jace said, as I walked off to Angel's tailor shop. I saw the open sign and walked inside. "Hi how may I help you. Oh. Hi Kat. How do you like your outfits?" Angel asked, while sewing a piece of clothing. "They're beautiful. Thank you. But I'm here because of this." I handed her the note I found in the dress. "I found it when I grabbed out this dress. Did you write it?" I asked, as Angel read the note. "It's a little creepy. I didn't write it though." Angel said, handing me the note. "Okay. Thanks anyway Angel." I said, putting the note in my pocket. "Have a good day and I'm glad you like the clothes." Angel said, waving goodbye. "See ya later." I said, walking out the door. It started to turn dark which meant it was almost dinner time so I headed back to the house. I went inside and saw the kids playing in their wolf and cat form. They looked so cute. "Dinners ready. Oh. Welcome back Kat." Jace said, putting the food on the table. "Thanks." I said, as the kids transformed into their human forms. "Mom." Neko pulled on my dress. "Can you help me up onto the chair. I'm a little too short." Neko said, looking at me. "Of course." I said, picking up Neko and setting her on the chair. "In the morning I'll make you a little stool to get up onto the chair." I said, as Wren started to laugh. "Wren! Be nice. Neko is just a little short for her age. Just like I was when I was her age." I said, looking at Neko. "You were?" Neko said, looking up at me. "I was and the funny thing was. When I turned fourteen I learned how to use a sword and a staff. "My friend never teased me again." I said, as Jace handed out the plates of food. "What's this?" Neko asked, looking at Jace. "Its steak and corn. Try it. You'll like it." I said, looking at her. She tried it and her eyes lit up with enjoyment. I smiled and started to eat. After we finished eating Jace took Wren outside and out of the village. "Hey mom. Since it's only us two girls. Do you think you could teach me how to bake? I want to make dad and Wren something for tomorrow after dinner." Neko said, looking at me. "Sure thing, I just have to do the dishes first." I said, picking up all the plates and walking over to the sink. "Ok." Neko said, hopping down from her chair. "Owie." Neko said, grabbing her ankle and starting to cry. "Neko. Are you ok?" I said, running over to her. "M-my ankle hurts." Neko said, as tears fell from her cheeks. "Come here. Let me see." I said, picking Neko up and putting her on the table. I looked at her ankle and saw that it was a little swollen. "Come with me. I know a special herb that can heal your ankle." I said, picking up Neko and walking to the door. I grabbed my cloak and put it around me and Neko. "It's a little chilly out so let's get you bundled up." I said, wrapping Neko in one of my cloaks. "I'll go to Angel's tailor shop next door and have her make you one." I said, walking out the door and seeing the bright moonlight. I grabbed the herb and put it on Neko's ankle. I looked up at the bright moon. "Mom are you ok?" Neko asked, looking up at me. I set Neko down without even knowing it. I walked towards the back of the capitol and teleported outside of it. I walked towards the water, took off my cloak, and jumped in. I swam to the island and passed out. When I woke up it was day and I was laying on the beach behind the capitol walls. My head hurt and I felt really dizzy. I have no memory of last night. I went back through the wall and went inside the house. "Kat there you are. We were so worried about you. Where have you been?" Jace said, running over and hugging me. I hugged him back. "I know how we can see your memories of last night. Come over here real quick." Angel said, as the children ran outside. I walked over to Angel. "The only way to see your memory is if I use my powers." Angel said, looking at me. "I can have Jace keep the secret." I said, looking at Jace then Angel. "Are you sure he won't tell?" Angel asked, looking at Jace. "If he does then I can just erase the past hour." I said, looking at Angel. "Ok. Hey Jace. I know a way to see her memory of last night." Angel said, making a staff appear. "Cool. Wait so you're a magic user too?" Jace said, looking at Angel. "Yeah... I didn't tell you because I was scared you might tell everyone and I-I. Breath Angel." I said, interrupting her. Angel took a deep breath. "I won't tell anyone. I promise on my loyalty to Stacey Faith Domencia, the Queen Of All Dimensions." Jace said, as the ball of my memories started to glow. "Oh crap." Angel said, as the ball of my memories exploded. It sent me flying. "Katherine!" Jace and Angel said, running out the door after me. I hit the wall with a loud crash. "Kat are you ok?" Jace said, helping me up. "Yeah I'm fine. What happened?" I asked, looking at them. We went back to the house, they explained what happened, Angel used her magic to see what happened last night, and then I passed out. I woke up to Neko crying next to me. "N-neko what's wrong?" I said, sitting up slowly. "Dad said I can't go with him." Neko looked up at me. "Where did he go?" I said, wiping away her tears. "To the front gate. One of the guards came in and had him go to the front gate. Something about the queen of dimensions being married to someone. I don't really know." Neko said, looking at me. "You and Wren can come outside and to the front gate to see what's going on. Then we can go for a walk outside the village. I just have to change. We can also have a picnic." I said, picking up Neko. "Yay. I'm gonna go get changed. I'll tell Wren to do the same." Neko said, running out of the room. I closed the door and grabbed out a new dress. I changed into it and went into the kitchen. I grabbed the basket from under the sink and started putting paper plates and other things we would need for a picnic inside of it. After everything we needed was inside the basket, Neko and Wren came running over to me. "Let's go." Neko said, smiling. "Okay okay. We just have to stop at a couple places first." I said making my staff appear and turning it into a ring. I put the ring on my finger as we walked out the door and to the tailor shop. "Why are we here mom?" Wren asked, looking at me. "To get you two a cloak." I said, walking inside. "Hi Kat. Huh? Who is this little one?" Angel said, looking at Wren. "This is Wren. He's mine and Jace's son. You already met my daughter, Neko." I said, smiling. "I'm guessing you're here for cloaks that would fit them." Angel said, looking at them. "Can I get a hoodie like dad?" Wren asked, looking at me. "Sure. Both of you follow Angel into the back and she'll help you out." I said, looking at the kids. "Okay." They both said, following Angel. I sat down and waited for them. It was a few minutes later when they came over to me. "You both look cute." I said, looking at them. "Mom." Wren said, annoyed. I laughed. "How much would the cloak and hoodie be?" I asked, looking at Angel. "It's going to be a total of six gold coins. It's three for the hoodie and three for the cloak. It's not a lot more than that because their small and I have a bunch." Angel said, looking at the kids and smiling. "Of course." I said, grabbing the coins out of my pocket and handing them to Angel. "Thanks. I'll see you guys later." Angel said, as me, Neko, and Wren headed to the door. "See you later." I said, as we left and went to the front gate. "Hi Kat. Hey kids. What are you guys up to?" Jace asked, looking at me. "We're going out for a picnic. Wanna join us?" I asked, looking at Jace. "I can't. I have to help out with guarding the capitol. Be safe and be back before it turns dark." Jace said, hugging me. "We will. I promise. Come on kids. Let's go." I said, as the kids followed me. We went into the woods and to a little clearing. I set up the picnic while the children ran around chasing a butterfly. After I finished setting up the picnic area we sat and ate. After the kids finished eating they played hide and seek. I told them to stay closeby. I didn't want them getting lost or worse. I packed everything back up and looked around for the kids. "Neko. Wren. Where are you?" I yelled, standing up and running into the woods. I looked and looked but I couldn't find the kids. I left all the picnic stuff where it was and ran towards the village crying. "Kat what's wrong?" Jace asked, looking at me. "The kids. They're gone." I said, crying. "I'll help you find them." Jace said, looking at me. "Let's go." Jace said, grabbing my hand and running into the forest. We searched and searched but couldn't find them. "We need to keep searching." I said, wiping away the tears. "It's getting dark." Jace said, looking at the sky. I looked at the sky and the stars glowed and formed an arrow. I smiled then followed the direction it pointed in. I took away all my memories of my past and hid it in one of the stars. Jace and I kept running in the direction the stars pointed and ran into a shadow soul. "I'm guessing you're looking for these two." Neko and Wren popped up in a cage made of dark magic. "Let them go!" I said, taking off my ring and making it turn into my staff. "Then bring Prince Essence back from his banishment." The shadow soul said, looking at me. "I don't know what your talking about!" I said, looking at him. "Yes you do." He said, making the cage shrink down in size. "Stop!" I said, looking at my staff. "Kat. What's going on?" Jace asked, looking at me. I changed the color of my staff, my hair and I kept my ears and tail the same. "Don't you need to transform to do- Shut it! I know what you're trying to do. I don't need to transform. I won't transform and I won't free Essence." I said, as my hair and staff changed back to what they looked like before. "Fine then. Say goodbye to the children." The shadow said, making the cage shrink even more. "Don't you dare hurt them. I swear to my mother, Queen Clair if you hurt them I'll- Don't even think about it." He said, pointing to Jace. I turned and looked at Jace. Jace looked at me with confusion in his eyes. "I'm sorry." I whispered, to Jace. "Huh?" Jace said, looking at me. I faced the shadow soul. "You asked for it. Light Faith Domencia, Queen Of All Dimensions." I said, transforming. "You will pay for trying to hurt the ones I love!" I said, as my eyes glowed. I flew at the Shadow Soul attacking him. I pinned him down to the ground. "Let my children go." I said, looking at him. "Don't you mean your real children or just the one's from your past." He said, making another cage appear. I looked and saw Hope, Winter, and Ice. "Let them all go or deal with my true power." I said, pinning him to the ground even harder. "Sorry. I can't do that without Prince Essence." He said, looking at me. "As I said, before. I won't let him out of that dimension." I said, as the Shadow shoved me off of him. "Have it your way." The shadow soul said, as other Shadow Souls appeared. "Kill them all." He said, laughing evilly. "We'll start with you." One of them said, grabbing Jace. "No!" I said, as I started to glow. I could feel Sasha taking over me again. I couldn't control her this time. "You will die!" Sasha said, as the Shadow Souls started attacking me/ Sasha. She ended up killing them all, freeing everyone from the cages, sending Hope, Winter and, Ice home, then making me pass out. "Jace can I talk to you in private, without the kids?" Angel said, looking at Jace. "Kids. Go play outside." Jace said, looking at the kids. "Ok. Tell us when mom's awake." The kids said, running out of the room. "Before Kat passed out. You said her eye turned orange?" Angel asked looking at Jace. "Yeah. Why? Is something wrong?" Jace asked, looking at me. "I looked at the book about Queen Stacey. Since you already know that Kat is actually Queen Stacey, I can tell you that she asked me to erase her memory of her past. She didn't want to hurt the ones she loved. When Kat transformed using her real name, Light. She also brought back her well I don't know what." Angel skimmed through the pages. I pretended to just wake up.
