Chapter 10

My wings grew and I flew up onto my house. I took off my necklace and held it in my hand. I made it glow and pointed it at the top of the barrier. The barrier glowed and started sealing up the cracks. I flew around the inside of the barrier and kept sealing the cracks. The sun started to shine through the hood of my cloak. "Stacey! Get into the house with the others. I'll seal the rest of the barrier. Please, I don't want you to get hurt!" Jason said, flying up to me. "I n-need to fix the b-barrier." I said, as my necklace kept glowing. "Please. Do it for me. For Katania." Jason said, grabbing my necklace and putting it around my neck. "I-i. Need to seal the b-barrier." I said, as my wings shrunk and I started falling towards the ground. Jason caught me and brought me down to the ground. He knocked on our house door. Alina answered it with shock to see that it was me and Jason. "Take Stacey and keep her here and inside until tomorrow." Jason said, helping me stand up. "Of course Jason." Alina said, bringing me into the house. "Thank you." Jason said, flying off. Alina closed the door and took me upstairs to everyone else. "Mom!" Katania said, running over and hugging me. "Sissy." Ethan said, looking at me. "What did he just say to you?" Katanis said, looking at Ethan then at me. "Samantha can you explain it to her. I feel a little dizzy." I said, falling to my knees. "Of course. Go get some rest." Samantha said, motioning Katania to go to her. Alina helped me up and brought me to my room. "Go to sleep. I'll make sure no one gets hurt if Jason can't finish sealing the barrier." Alina said, walking out of the room and closing the door. I took my cloak off and went to sleep. It was an hour before it started to turn dark when Alina woke me up. "We have to get everyone in this house into the basement." Alina said, looking at me. "There's a special barrier around this house. Only specific people can get in and out." I said, sitting up. "Umm. About that. Your brother, Luis, turned back into Essence..." Alina said, looking down at the floor. "W-what." I said, starting to cry. "Stacey, I'm so sorry." Alina said, looking at me. "Let's get everyone down to the basement." I said, grabbing my cloak. We brought everyone downstairs and into the livingroom. "No one knows about this except for me and Jason. Can you all keep it a secret?" I said, looking at everyone in the room. They all nodded their heads. "Opinsa. (Oh-pin-sah.)" I said, as a doorway opened up from the floor. "Hurry. Everyone downstairs." I said, motioning everyone down. As everyone went down the stairs, lights lit up as the door closed behind me. Everyone was downstairs and safe. "Is everyone here?" Alina said, looking around the room. Everyone was here and accounted for. I started to hear the past Princess Of Stars voice. She was calling to me. "Stacey. You need to be outside when the Star Solstice is upon us." She said, just before her voice faded away. Katania fell asleep with her head on my shoulder while everyone else was already asleep. I fell asleep as Katania was sleeping. I woke up in mine and Jason's bedroom. "Today is the Star Solstice." I said, opening the blinds. "Six hours until the party." Jason said, walking into to the room. "Yeah. I'm really excited. After today, I'll be able to be outside for more than three days without it hurting my eyes." I said, looking at Jason. "Come on. Let's head outside." Jason said, looking at me. "Wait." Jason turned and looked at me. "Did Luis actually turn back into Essence?" I asked, looking at him. "I'm sorry to say but he did." Jason said, looking at me. I looked down at the floor, remembering the good times we had together. "Let's not think about that. Come on, let's go see the statue." Jason said, walking out of the room. We walked downstairs and outside. Katania was sitting on one of the benches looking at "Hey Katania. Are you okay?" Jason said, as we both walked over to her. "Hmm? Yeah, I'm ok. Just thinking." Katania said, looking at us. I sat down next to her and looked at the statue. It was of me in my human or well human form with vulpini ears and tail. "It's amazing craftsmanship." Jason said, looking at the statue. "Thanks." Alina said, walking over to us. "No problem." Jason said, looking at Alina. Four hours passed and there was only two more hours until the Star Solstice party started, we were just finishing up putting out the decorations, and just started baking and putting out all the food and drinks. I helped Alina bake all the snacks and other things that needed to be baked or cooked. "That looks like it's everything." I said, helping Alina put the food out on the table with only two minutes till the Star Solstice started and it turned night. "Is everyone here?" Jason asked, looking around. "Cathy is taking care of Ethan, but other than that, everyone's here." Samantha said, looking at Jason. We all started counting down until the Star Solstice was here. When it turned dark and the stars were out, I started to fly and glow bright. I felt stronger than ever before. I stopped glowing, flew down to the ground then my wings shrunk. "Yay!" Everyone said, throwing star shaped balloons in the air. I smiled as everyone was happy and celebrating. We were all in the middle of celebrating when the ground started to shake and the barrier shattered. All I heard was screams of terror and people scattering. "Cathy. Get all the kids into my house and stay there. Samantha you to." I said, looking at Cathy. "On it." Cathy said, getting all the kids and having Samantha help her. They ran off to my house and ran inside. Men started coming out of nowhere and swarming around us. "Alina. Go protect the children, Cathy, and Samantha. We'll take care of them." I said, looking at Alina. Alina transformed and flew over to the house. "Stacey Faith Domencia, Princess Of Stars." I said transforming. My wings grew big as I stared at the group of men. I was shocked when Essence walked out of the crowd "If you want to keep everyone in your village safe. Come with us peacefully." Essence said, looking at me. "L-Luis!?" I said, shocked. "That's not my name anymore. Dear little sister." He said, taking a step forward. "Luis. This isn't you. Come back to the good side." I said, looking into his eyes. "I will not!" Essence said, as a ball of dark magic appeared in front of him. "L-luis please don't." I said, taking a step back. "Sorry sis but we need your powers." Essence said, making the ball fly at me. I ended up getting stuck in the middle of the dark magic ball. "Stacey!" Jason said, running over to me. "I can't move." I said, struggling to break free. "Sorry. Light. Did I get you stuck?" Essence said, laughing. "Why did he call you Light?" Jason said, pulling out an orb and hitting it off the ball. "She didn't tell you? How sad." Essence said, laughing. "How would mother feel if she knew you were doing this!" I said, trying to break free. "Don't bring her into this!" Essence said, looking at me. Jason broke the ball and I fell to the ground. Essence growled at Jason. My ears started to twitch. I grabbed the hood of my cloak and pulled it off. "Vulpini form." I said, transforming into a vulpini. "Leopard form." Essence said, transforming into a leopard. We started attacking each other. It was still nighttime and the stars glowed bright. I could feel my powers getting stronger as the stars glowed brighter. I knocked Essence into a tree, he de-transformed and passed out. "She attacked the boss! Get her!" A man yelled, pointing to me. The men surrounded me. "I didn't want to do this, but you leave me with no choice." I said, as the stars swirled around me. A giant star appeared behind me as it glowed bright. Stars shot at the men that surrounded me. The giant star disappeared and the stars went back up into the sky. The men kept their ground and surrounded me, walking towards me. "Leave her alone!" Jason said, running over, pushing through the men, and standing behind me. "Human form." I said, transforming back. It started to turn day when all the men that got shot by the stars flying everywhere woke up. "Great. More of them." Jason said, looking at them. "What if I combine both of my forms?" I asked, looking at Jason over my shoulder. "Try it. We'll find out." Jason said, looking at me. I de-transformed, grabbed a star off my necklace, duplicated my half light blue half pink orb, put the original away, and combined the star orb and the duplicate of the half light blue half pink orb. The orb was half light blue half pink and was filled with stars. It looked so amazing as it turned night again. "Stacey Faith Domencia Queen Of All Dimensions And Princess Of The Stars." I said, transforming. I looked like how I was in my queen of all dimensions form but with stars all over my dress. "Leave. Now." I said, looking at the men. "Only if you come with us!" A man said, looking at me. "Never." I said, looking at him. "Get her!" The man said, running towards me. The men surrounded me and also surrounded Jason and the others. "Leave them alone!" I said, putting a barrier around them. One of the men growled at me. I attacked the men as they ran towards me. It turned day when I finished fighting all of the men and they ran off carrying Luis away. "Luis!" I said, running after them but failing to catch them. The barrier around Jason and the others disappeared. I de-transformed and pt my orb away. "Are you ok?" Jason said, running over to me. "Yeah. Just tired." I said, looking at Jason. "Get some rest then we have to talk about why Luis or well Essence called you "Light." No stalling." Jason said, walking back to the house with me. We went inside, told everyone it was safe to leave, then I went to bed. I woke up a couple hours later and walked downstairs to find Jason but he wasn't there. I went outside and walked around, looking for him. "Over here." Jason said, waving to me. I walked over to him and he was sitting by the river watching Katania swim. "That's good. Now all you have to do is practice without splashing anyone and you'll be great." Jason said, as his fishtail appeared. I started laughing. "Not funny." Jason said, splashing his tail in the water. "Now that mom's here can I show you both what I found little while ago?" Katania said, looking at us. "Sure." Jason said, looking at Katania. "Mom you have to turn into a mermaid for this. After you transform, follow me." Katania said, diving under the water. Jason jumped into the water and dived under. I put my cloak down by the towels, put all my orbs in my red bag and set that in my cloak, grabbed my blue orb and jumped into the water. I transformed into a mermaid and dived under. "Over here." Katania said, disappearing into a cave. I followed behind them as we entered a underwater cave and popped up into a cave above the water. It was a underwater tunnel that lead to a cave. It was so beautiful. "Welcome to the hidden cave." Katania said, laughing. Jason and I both started laughing as well. "Stacey can I talk to you about earlier?" Jason asked, looking at me. "I'm gonna head back to our stuff." Katania said, diving down and out of the cave. "Why did Luis/ Essence call you Light, and why does it sound familiar?" Jason said, sitting on the edge of the ground with his tail in the water. I sat next to him, watching the water. "If I tell you do you promise not to tell anyone?" I said, looking at Jason. "I promise." Jason said, looking at me. I looked back at the water. "My name isn't Stacey. It's actually, Light." I said, watching the waves. "If your real name is Light, then how are you able to transform by saying Stacey?" Jason said, looking at me. "I used a duplicating spell on one of my orbs then altered it a little, and since I did that my powers grew weaker than they really are." I said, as the waves splashed against my tail. "Wow. So when you say, "Stacey Faith Domencia." It actually isn't real?" Jason said, looking at me. "When I transform, it isn't my actual form and look." I said, looking at Jason. "Why don't you say your real name when you transform?" Jason asked, looking into my eyes. "I don't really know about how I'll look when I transform using my real name." I said, looking back at the water. "Why don't you try?" Jason said, looking at me. "I-I. I can't." I said, diving into the water and swimming off. "Stacey wait!" Jason yelled, as I kept swimming away. I swam back to our stuff, dried off, put on my cloak, grabbed my red orb that turns into a bag, and ran off crying. I ran and ran until I couldn't run anymore. I was tired and upset. I didn't want to tell Jason what would happen if I transformed using my real name, that I wouldn't be able to control my powers after a fight. I would be completely vulnerable. I sat down by a tree to rest. A couple hours later, men came out of nowhere and surrounded me. "Dear little sister. Why are you so sad?" Essence said, laughing. "What do you want, Essence?!" I said, standing up really fast. "Can't I see my dear little sister without having her jump on me?" Essence said, sarcastically. "Leave me alone Essence." I said, looking at him. "Come with me and I will." Essence said, holding out his hand. I pushed his hand away from me. "Never." I said, taking a step backwards. Essence pulled out his half black half red orb and transformed. I pulled out my duplicated orb that was altered and transformed. We fought and fought but I was just too weak and tired to beat him. "I have to use my real name and my real orb. But if I do while I have the duplicated orb that was altered I'll lose my memory." I said, to myself. I de-transformed, pulled out my duplicated orb that was altered a little and through it on the ground, breaking it into tiny pieces. "What did you do that for?" Essence said, looking at the broken orb and de-transforming. I pulled out the real orb and looked at it. "Since I broke the duplicated orb this should work." I said, looking at the broken orb. (I thought that would be true but I forgot about the other one.) "Light Faith Domencia, Queen Of All Dimensions." I said, transforming. My hair was all pink while my dress was all light blue. "So you finally used your real name." Essence said, laughing. "Now that I transformed using my real name, I am much stronger. If I win, you leave." I said, holding my real orb. "And if I win, you come with us." Essence said, looking at me. "Essence, Prince Of Shadow Souls." Essence said, transforming. "P-prince of sh-shadow souls." I said, as my eyes started to water. "What's wrong? Are you scared?" Essence said, teasing me. "I. Am. Not. Scared." I said, as my orb started to glow bright. Essence and I fought for hours, probably even days. I backed away from Essence and pulled out my white orb and aimed it at him. "I'm sorry to do this to you brother. But you leave me no choice. Luis Kace Domencia, you are hereby banished from this Dimension, to never return again, even if you do turn good again!" I said, making a portal appear behind him. I pushed Essence in and closed the portal. "What did you do to Prince Essence?!" One of the men said, looking at me. "The same thing I'm going to do to you if you don't back off!" I said, as my eyes glowed. The men started attacking me. I dodged their every move. My powers started to go crazy. Like I couldn't control them. "It-it's happening. I can't control my powers." I said, to myself while looking at my orb. My powers were going crazy and I couldn't control it. The men surrounded me. "Leave me alone!" I said, looking at them. One of the men pushed me down onto the ground and tied my hands together. "Let me go." I said, as the man pulled me up to my feet. I de-transformed as a men held a sword to my neck. "Let her go. Now." Jason said, running over to me. "Not a step closer." Jason stopped in his place. "If you come near, I'll kill her." The man said, looking at me. "Don't. Please." I said, grabbing a sea shell out of my pocket. "What do you want from her, from us?" Jason said, noticing the shell. "Her power." The man said, as I finished cutting the ropes. "What's that?!" Jason asked, pointing behind the man. The man turned around as I ducked under the sword and ran over to Jason. "Hey! That was not cool." The man said, as his sword started to glow. "Stacey, stay behind me." Jason pulled me behind him. "Jason Aken Wolf, King Of All Dimensions." Jason said, transforming. "Give me the girl and you can live." The man said, holding his sword tight. "Never." Jason said, making his green scythe appear. The two of them began to fight each other. "Jason watch out!" I said, as men came out of nowhere and attacked him. I was getting scared. I was now useless and putting everyone around me i danger. I had to leave. After Jason won the fight, we went back to the village It was midnight of the next day before I packed up and ran off into the woods. I ran until I was far away from the village. I set up a camp, a camp fire, and relaxed. I fell asleep in the tent. I woke up the next day and grabbed my red bag and started searching through it. I found the hair dye and scissors. I didn't want to cut my hair so I put the scissors away and opened the spray can of brunette hair dye. I finished dyeing my hair and grabbed out my rainbow orb and changed it's color to purple. I made the staff apear and changed it's color to purple as well. I grabbed out another spray can and opened it. It was purple hair dye so I dyed the tips of my hair. I made my hair cover my pink colored eye and only showed the blue one. I packed up my camp and put out the hot coals. I took off my crown and hid it deep within my red bag, I did the same with the necklace. I changed my ears and tail to a meif-wa's. I didn't want anyone to recognize me if I found a village. I was just simply a mage or as some people called it, a magic user. I just wanted a place to live. I walked and walked until I finally found a village that wasn't my own. I walked up to the gate with my bag on my back and my staff in my hand. "Halt. What's your business here in Phoenix Flame." A guard said, looking at me. "I'm... Katherine. I'm a mage. I just wanted a place to live." I said, looking at the two guards. "A mage hmm. I guess we can let you in. Just don't cause any trouble." The other guard said, moving his sword away from the entrance. "Thank you." I said, heading in. The first guard grabbed my shoulder. "I'm watching you." He said, before letting go. I shook it off and walked around. I found the market area and walked up to a woman. "Excuse me. Miss?" I said, looking at the woman. "I'm Violet. What can I do for you?" She said, looking up at me. "I'm looking for the inn. Do you know where it is?" I asked, looking at her. "It's the first building on your right as you walk down the path here." She points to a path. "You can't miss it." Violet said, smiling. "Thanks. Oh and my name is Katherine but you can call me Kat." I said, walking off down the path and into the inn. "Hello miss. I'm Clark the inn keeper. Can I help you?" The old man said, looking at me. "I'd like to rent a room for a while. Just until I can find a house that is." I said, looking at the man. "That would be 5 gold pieces a night." Clark said, looking at me. I payed the man for two weeks, which added up to 70 gold pieces total. "If you find a house before your next payment is due. Just tell me and I'll give you your change. You're in room number 2." Clark said, giving me a key. "Thank you." I said, walking upstairs. I looked for room number two, unlocked the door, and went inside. I put my bag in the closet and tied my staff to my back. It was still daytime so I decided to go look around. I left the inn and went to look around. It looked like there was a tailor nearby so I went inside. "Hello. How may I.. Oh Hello there. You must be new. I'm Angela but most people call me Angel. I'm the tailor. Did you need something miss?" She said, looking at me. "I'm looking for a new outfit. One that won't make my ears and tail hurt or itch. Oh and my name is Katherine but you can call me Kat." I said, showing her my ears. "Of course. Follow me please. I have a few things in mind." Angel said, having me follow her into the back. "Try this on." She said, handing me a bag. "Ok. I'm just gonna leave my staff right here." I said, leaning it up against the chair. I went into the changing room and tried on the clothes in the bag. It was like something I would wear but not something Katherine would. To make it so nobody recognized me I had to change my style. "Do you have any dresses?" I asked, handing her the bag. "I'll check." Angel said, walking over to the racks full of clothes. "How about this one? It matches your hair." She said, showing me a brown dress with purple edges and a purple cloak attached to it. "I'll try it on." I said, grabbing it and going back into the changing room. I put the dress on and it was beautiful. It matched my hair. and so did the cloak attached to it. "How does it look?" I said, walking out of the changing room with the dress on. "It looks great on you." Angel said, smiling. "Thanks. How much would that be?" I asked, looking at her. "It's on the house. Are you a magics user by any chance?" Angel said, handing me my staff. "Yeah. I'm still getting used to my powers though. They're a little hard to control. Please don't tell the guards." I said, looking at her. "As long as you don't tell them I'm a magic user as well." Angel said, laughing. "Of course." I said, laughing. I was glad I disguised my aura when I dyed my hair but that's kind of hard to do since the curse of the Domencia princesses. I looked down at my staff. "Is everything ok?" Angel said, looking at me. "Just thinking." I said, looking at her. "I better get going. It's getting late and besides that, I need to look for a house that's for sale." I said, walking out the door. "See you later." Angel said, waving goodbye. I waved back and went back to the inn. I went back to my room, put my staff in the closet, and went to bed. "No. Don't go. Please. Noo!" I woke up screaming. "Miss are you ok?" Clark said, running into my room. "I-I don't know." I said, looking at him. "Try to get some sleep. If you need anything my son and I are in room one." Clark said, heading to the door. "Thanks." I said, as he closed the door and left. I fell back to sleep an hour later. When I woke up I heard birds chirping. I got out of bed and saw a note, on a bag, on the stand, next to the bed. I picked up the note. "Dear Kat, I wanted to give you a few more clothes. I figured you might want something new to change into everyday. Oh and also there's a pair of pjs in there for you. I hope you like them. From Angel." I put the note on the stand and looked into the bag. There was so many clothes. I laid them all out on the bed and looked at them all. They were all so pretty. I put them in the closet and grabbed the training clothes and my staff and tid it to my back. I changed into the training clothes and went downstairs. I saw someone at the counter. It wasn't Clark this time. "Uh. Hi?" I said, looking at the guy. "Hi. You must be Katherine. I'm Clark's son, Kyler, but you can call me Ky." The man said, looking at me. "Kat. I like being called Kat." I said, smiling. "Well it's nice to meet you. Oh. Angel stopped by. She dropped off the clothes in your room and she asked me to give you this note." Ky said, handing me a piece of paper. "Thank you." I said, looking at him. "No problem. See you later." Ky said, as I walked out of the inn. I opened the piece of paper and started reading it. "Kat. I was hoping you would train with me. Meet me outside of the Capitol. Oh and the capitol is where we're living. I don't think the guards told you. I'm in the woods at a little clearing. It's where I train without anyone seeing me. I'd like you to come join me. If the guards ask where you are going, give them the piece of paper taped to the back of this one and DON'T READ IT!" I grabbed the note off the back and put the first note in my pocket. I walked to the front gate. "Halt. Where are you going?" One of the guards said, looking at me. I handed him the note. "Looks legit. You can go through. Make sure you come back before dark. I don't want the Shadow Souls chasing you." The other guard said, letting me through. "Ok." I said, running off into the forest. I found the clearing and looked around for Angel. "Hey. You made it." Angel said, coming out of the tree. "Yeah. Can I ask you a question?" I asked, looking at her. "You just did but go for it." Angel said, laughing. I laughed then looked at her. "Why did you tell me not to read the note taped to the back of the first one?" I asked, looking at her. "I guess I should tell you. Promise this won't change anything between us." Angel said, looking at me. "I promise." I said, looking at her. "The note was actually for a mage to go to the Temple of Dimensions. My mom is a guard there. She wanted me to come home and stay there." Angel said, looking at me. "Why would that change anything?" I asked, looking at her. "I'm not finished. My mom found me when I was a baby. Apparently I'm a guard for the princess of the Flame Dimension, but the princess died when her Dimension was attacked by someone named Essence. Now the whole Shadow Dimension is looking for her when they found out she is somewhere in this dimension." Angel said, looking up at me. "Hope! I have to go!" I said, turning to run off when Angel grabbed my hand. "You know Hope?!" Angel said, looking at me. "No time to explain. If the Shadow Dimension is after her that means. Oh no. My village. If you want an explanation come with me." I said, making my staff glow and having my red bag appear in front of me. I grabbed the star necklace out of it and teleported the bag back to my room at the inn. I put the necklace on and tied my staff back onto my back. "Door to my old village." I said, taking a star off my necklace and throwing it on the ground. I took a step back and a doorway appeared. "Come on." I said, pulling Angel through the doorway. We teleported outside of my old village. I took the necklace off and put it in my pocket. "What was that?" Angel asked, looking at me. "No time. I'll explain later." I said, running towards my old village. "Who are you?" Garroth said, looking at me and Angel. I moved my hair that covered my pink colored eye and showed him it for a second then covered it back up. "St- Don't even say it." I said, interrupting him. "If you tell Jason or anyone else that I was here, I'll send you to another Dimension." I said, staring at him. He nodded his head. "I'm here to warn you that Hope is in trouble. The Shadow Dimension knows she is alive and they're coming to get her. Please protect her." I said, looking at Garroth. "Garroth who are they? Did they come trying to get Stacey? Do they know where she is?" Jason said, walking over to us. I stared at Garroth shaking my head. "No Jason. They don't know where Stacey is and they aren't here looking for her." Garroth said, looking at Jason. "Then why are you here?" Jason said, looking at us. "I'm here to warn you about the Shadow Souls. They're coming for Hope." I said, looking at Jason. "How do you know Hope is here?" Jason said, looking at me suspiciously. "I'm a mage. I used a locating spell." I showed Jason my staff. "I just wanted to warn you." I said, looking at him. "Thank you. Now leave!" Jason said, looking at us. "Happy to." I said, grabbing Angel's wrist and running off into the woods. "He's never gonna change." I said, crying. I grabbed a star off the necklace and threw it on the ground. A door appeared and we walked through it. "What was that all about?" Angel said, looking at me. I uncovered my pink eye, showed her the necklace, and teleported my crown to us. "Wait. The crown, the necklace, and two different colored eyes. You're Stacey! The Queen Of All Dimensions." Angel said, looking at me. "Please don't tell anyone. I just want to forget all that." I said, putting my hair back down over my eye and teleporting my crown and necklace back into my bag in my room at the inn. "Why do you want to forget it all?" Angel asked, looking at me. "I cause them to much trouble. People want to kidnap me for my powers. I just want to forget everything up until I came to the capitol." I said, looking up at her. "Are you sure? If you want do you want me to erase your memory?" Angel said, looking at me. "You'd do that?" I said, looking at her. "Yeah. But the only problem about that is you would forget how to use your powers." Angel said, looking at me. "You could train me. Couldn't you?" I asked, looking at her. "I could try." Angel said, looking at me.
