Chapter 15

When I woke up, Adira, Andrea, Grayson, and Mya were surrounding me whispering. "Whatever you do don't tell her what happened." Mya said. "But she'll notice that she's missing." Grayson said. I opened my eyes slowly and looked at them. "W-what are you guys talking about?" I asked, looking at them. They all stared at each other. "Guys I'm being serious I know your hiding something from me. Now what is it?" I asked, sitting up slowly. "We can't." Mya said, looking at me. "Don't make me use the Queen card. I hate using it but I will if I have to." I said, looking at them. Jace sighed then looked at everyone. "If you guys won't tell her then I will." Jace looked at me with sadness in his eyes. "Ender and Seth are... dead..." Jace said, wiping away the tears that started to from. "N-no." I said, starting to cry. "That's not the only thing... Abbie Sona Of Colaris is dead, same with her mother, a few of the dimensions were destroyed by the Shadow Souls, along with part of Phoenix Flame, our capitol, our homes." Mya said, looking at me, crying. "I-is everyone okay?" I asked, looking at them. "After Jace came running back to the capitol a few Shadow Souls appeared out of a portal and attacked. Katania tried to hold them off but she couldn't do that forever. We all tried to fight them off but... A lot of people got hurt, no one died except for Abbie, her mother, and the two vulpini kids of yours." Andrea said, looking at me. Tears rolled down my face. "This can't be true." I said, covering my face. Jace hugged me tight. "I'm here for you. I promise." Jace said. "We'll be trying to help everyone in Phoenix Flame. Meet us there when your ready." Mya said, just before walking off with Grayson, Adira, and Andrea. I hugged Jace, crying. "Let's head back to Phoenix Flame." Jace said, holding out his hand. I grabbed his hand and smiled slightly. We walked back to Phoenix Flame and when we got there I saw the walls were broken and the statue of me was in pieces but the statue of my mom was still in tact. My mother appeared and walked over to me. Everyone around us bowed. My mother stared at me, looking me up and down. I sighed and looked at her. "What do you need mother?" I asked, curiously. "Light- Please don't call me by that name." I said, interrupting her. "Okay... Katherine." My mother's face turned sour as she said it. "I need to tell you something. Your father's evil again... And that's not the worst part... You lost your powers. I can sense it." She said, looking at me. "I know I lost my powers mother. I need to find Alina and Sasha. They both could- No! You know they aren't strong enough to turn your father good again!" Queen Claire said, looking at me. Tears started to form in my eyes. "Light- No! You are not sorry mother! I know you aren't. I can see it. And I know exactly how he turned evil I don't need powers to see that! Your the reason why he's evil again!" I yelled, as my blue orb glowed from inside my pocket. "Light calm down. Your blue orb- I don't care if everyone finds out about my other form! I know you are turning father evil just so you can make my powers weak!" I said, as my orb glowed even brighter. "Light Faith Domencia calm down now!" My mother said, looking at me. I immediately stopped talking. Everyone stopped bowing and stared. "M-mother..." I stuttered, in shock. "You need to control yourself. We don't want a repeat of what happened to your father now do we?" Queen Claire said, looking at me. My eyes glowed a bright white. "I know what happened last time. It was because of you that it happened." I said, looking at her. "What are you talking about Light?" Queen Claire said, scared. "I have proof that you keep making father turn evil." I pulled out my blue orb. "I can prove it." I said, making a wall of water appear behind me. I stepped to the side and showed what Queen Claire did to turn my father evil. She started flying away. "Rising water." I said, making water rise up around my mother. The water shaped and formed a cage. My eyes glowed a bright ocean blue color. The water spun around my mother as my eyes kept glowing. Water formed a bubble around my feet. My legs turned into a tail and my vulpini tail disappeared as my vulpini ears stayed. Everyone gasped in shock. I started speaking in another language. The water stopped spinning and when the water disappeared, my mother was gone. My tail turned back into legs, my vulpini tail appeared, the water disappeared, then everything went black. When I woke up, I was in my room with Jace sitting on one side and Katania sitting on the other. "Mom can explain everything when she wakes up." Katania said, looking at me. I slowly opened my eyes. "Kat your awake!" Jace said, looking at me. I smiled slightly, looking at Jace. My head felt like it was spinning and my legs felt numb. I looked at Katania and she stared into my eyes worried. "What's wrong?" I asked, looking at her. "Your eyes. They're the color of the ocean." Katania said, looking at me. "W-what?" I said, shocked. Katania made water float in front of my face and I saw that my eyes were truly the color of the ocean. Katania made the water go back in the cup and Jace looked at us both awkwardly. I sighed and told Jace everything, even how I hurt my father with my ocean blue eyes and how they can be dangerous, especially under a full moon. Jace looked at both me and Katania, shocked. I looked at Katania and she nodded her head. I uncovered my legs just to see that they weren't legs but instead, it was a fish tail. I looked at Katania curiously, she just shrugged and looked at me shocked. "I thought your tail only shows when you get wet. Why is it showing now?" Jace asked, looking at me. "Because of my eyes." I said, closing my eyes and making my tail heat up and turn back into legs. My vulpini tail appeared and I opened my eyes. "Your eyes are back to normal." Katania said, smiling. I smiled at her as my ears twitched as the wind blew through the tent door. I shivered as I felt a presence near the tent. "Who's there?" I whispered, watching the tent door. It flew wide open and someone flew over to me. I looked at Jace and Katania and by the looks of it they couldn't see the ghost. All they saw was the tent door fly wide open. I looked back at the ghost. "Why are you here?" I asked, looking at the ghost. "Kat who are you talking to? There's no one there." Jace said, closing the tent door. "I need your help Queen Stacey." The ghost said, looking at me. "Please call me Kat. I changed my name." I said, looking at the ghost. "My name's Ella." The ghost said, softly. "It's nice to meet you Ella." I said, smiling softly. "Mom. Who are you talking to?" Katania asked, looking at me. I looked at Katania. "I'm talking to a ghost. Can't you see her?" I asked, looking at Katania. She shook her head. I looked back at Ella. "If it's okay with you, could I use your body to talk to her? I just want to tell her that everything is okay." She said, looking at me. "Yes you may. I don't mind." I said, closing my eyes. I felt Ella enter my body. When she opened my eyes I could see and hear everything she could. "Hi Katania. My name's Ella. I'm a ghost but I'm not like the others. I'm a nice ghost. I need your mother's help with something so I'll be sticking around for a while. I can turn into a cat but only your mother would be able to understand me." Ella said, just before leaving my body. I fell backwards then opened my eyes. "Kat are you okay? What just happened?" Jace asked, looking at me. I sat up and shook my head. "Sorry Kat. I forgot to tell you that if you get possessed by a ghost for the first time, you'll feel light headed." Ella said, looking at me. "It's okay Ella." I said, looking at her. "What did you need help with?" I asked, looking at Ella. She stayed silent, looking at the floor for a few minutes then she looked at me. "I need help finding someone to become the next portalguard." She said, looking at me. "Portalguard... Wait! You're Angel's mother aren't you!?" I said, looking at Ella. "You know Angel? Is she okay? Would she be willing to be the next portalguard?" Ella said, looking at me. "I know Angel, she's my friend. She is perfectly fine and I'm not quite sure if she would want to become the next portalguard. We can talk to her in the morning. It's getting late." I said, looking at Ella. "Okay. Oh and here." Ella said, making a ball of lights appear and float towards me. "What are they?" I asked, looking at her. "Each one of the lights are your powers. They are your powers and I know that for a fact. I saw how you lost your powers and I managed to steal them back from Queen Claire before you made her disappear." Ella said, as the lights went into my body and disappeared. "Kat what just happened?" Jace asked, looking at me. I looked at him and smiled. "I just got my powers back." I said, as my crown appeared on my head. Jace smiled and hugged me. "Get your rest Kat and we can talk to Angel tomorrow." Ella said, laying down in the corner by the door. "Night everyone." I whispered, noticing Katania was fast asleep. I laid down and fell asleep a few minutes later. I woke up the next day to see that Jace left a note by the sleeping bag I was in. I picked it up and it said that him and Katania would be out around the capitol helping to repair everything that got destroyed. It also said that he saw a strange green light come from my cloak pocket and that I should look at whatever it was. I crawled out of the sleeping bag and looked in my cloak pocket. I saw that I had a new orb. I took it out of my pocket and looked at it. There was only one word inside of the orb, "Life". What did it mean? I put the orb back in my pocket and walked over to Ella. "Are you awake?" I asked, looking at her. "Yeah. I'm awake." She said, sitting up. "Let's head to Angel's place. She'd either be at her house or at her tailor shop." I said, opening the door. I lead the way as Ella followed, floating behind me. Angel's tailor shop said open so we went inside. "Hi Kat. How can I help you?" Angel asked, looking at me curiously. I looked at Ella. "I can make it so she can see you. It will last for about an hour." I whispered. "If you could do that it would be great." Ella said, looking at me. I pulled out my yellow orb and made it glow and Ella turned into a human. "M-mom." Angel said, as her eyes filled with tears. I put my orb away as they hugged each other. "Angel my dear. There is something I need to tell you. I'm not really here. Kat gave me a visible body but it only lasts for an hour. When the hour is up... you won't be able to see or hear me." Ella said, letting go of her daughter. "What do you mean mom?" Angel asked, looking at her mother. "I mean I'm not really alive. I was... killed... I was trying to protect the portals and I died in the process." Ella said, looking at Angel. "W-what?" Angel's eyes filled with tears. "W-who killed you?" Angel asked, wiping away her tears. "Someone close to Kat before she changed her name." Ella said, looking at me. I stayed silent, thinking. It couldn't be Essence because we banished him. Who else had a grudge on me? I thought for a moment then it hit me. "Jason!" I said, looking at Ella. "Who is Jason? And why would he do that?" Angel asked, looking at me. "He's the ex king of all dimensions and he's also my ex husband..." I said, looking at the floor. I could feel the sadness in Angel, growing more and more every second. "Angel I know your upset. I can feel it. I'm here for you. I know how it feels to have no parents." I said, looking at her. "No you don't. Your parents are both alive." Angel said, looking at me."Actually they aren't... They are both in a dimension called the cloud dimension it's also known as the heaven dimension." I said, looking at her. "Then how can your mother appear here?" Angel asked, looking at me. "Queen Claire can appear here because she has been taking parts of Kat's powers and making her weak. Queen Claire used her own daughter's magic for her own selflessness." Ella said, looking at Angel. "Why?" Angel asked, looking at us. "She wanted to be the strongest... I'm the strongest in the Domencia family, Katania is the second, then it's Sasha, Alina, then my mother..." I said,gritting my teeth. "We're getting off track. Angel. The reason why I am here is to ask you an important question and it is life changing." Ella said, looking at her daughter. "What do you mean life changing?" Angel asked, looking at her mother. "Angel. I want to know if you will take my powers and become the new guard of the portals." Ella asked, as her daughter's eyes widened. "M-mother... I-i can't. I have people here to take care of. I'm sorry but I just can't." Angel said, looking at her mother. "It's okay. I understand." Ella stared at the wall then looked at me. "Kat. Do you know where I can find Linsey Moral?" Ella whispered, in my ear. "Yeah I know exactly where I can find her." I looked at Angel. "Angel. If Jace asked where I went tell him I went to another dimension. I need to do something real quick. I'll be back as soon as I can." I said, pulling out my plure white orb. "Okay. Be safe my lord." Angel said, just before me and Ella teleported away. I put my orb away and looked around. We were in a small forest with lots of flowers. "Why would Linsey Moral be here?" Ella asked, looking at me. "Shh. You'll see just stand still." I said, hearing footsteps behind the tree in front of us. "You can come out Linsey. It's alright." I said, in a soft voice. Linsey walked out from behind a tree. "She's a deer?" Ella asked, looking at me. I shook my head smiling. "You can show your true self Linsey." I said, looking at the deer. Linsey shifted into a human. She has long blonde hair, emerald green eyes, a long green dress and she was wearing a flower crown on her head. Ella was speechless when she saw Linsey. "Linsey I would like you to meet someone. This is Ella she's your mother. Orwell was..." I said, looking at the ground. "What do you mean "was"?" Linsey asked, looking at us. "I died a few weeks ago." Ella said, looking at Linsey. "How are you here then?" Linsey asked, looking at me. "I used a spell to make it so she has a human body but it will only last for another half an hour." I said, looking at Linsey. "What are you two doing here if I may ask?" Linsey said, looking at us. "I'm here to ask you an important question." Linsey looked at her mother curiously. "I want to know if you will take my powers and become the next guard of the portals." Ella said, looking at Linsey. "I will become the next guard of the portals but instead of giving me your powers, set them free so nature can be in balance here." Linsey said, looking at Ella. "Of course." Ella said, smiling. She made a giant ball of her powers and it floated up to the sky then it spread out into a giant cloud and disappeared. Linsey smiled then I teleported us all back to Phoenix Capitol. I ut my orb away and we walked to Angel's taylor/ clinic and went inside. "Welcome back Kat. Hi mom. Uhmm... Who's the other girl with you? I don't recognize her." Angel said, looking at me and Ella. I looked at Ella then at Linsey. "Angel. This is might be a little hard to believe but, your not an only child, neither are you Linsey. Angel I want you to meet your sister Linsey, and Linsey I want you to meet your sister... Angel." Ella said, stepping to the side.
