❛ ʙᴇᴇʜᴀᴡ ❜

"Oh darn, what on earth will we do now," Blake spoke loudly, sounding almost as if she was reading from a script.
"A travesty," Yang agreed in the same tone of voice.

Team RWBY all sat in their dorm room; Weiss in the corner of the room playing with Zwei, Ruby in her blanket fort reading some of Blake's less Christian-Friendly books, and the bumblebee duo stood over a large suitcase that usually held all the teams goodies. Chocolate, chips, whipped cream, whatever you desired you could most likely find stashed away in the case.
"Oh well, looks like we're going to have to go out and get some more Candy Kittens," Blake continued, "As I have a real craving for them right about now."
"Yes, I also," Yang offered the faunus a knowing side glance, "crave a kitten."
Weiss didn't pay the girls any attention as she continued rubbing away at Zwei's belly, which he had so kindly displayed to the young Schnee. She giggled and cooed at the dog, poking her tongue out playfully as Zwei made a funny noise.
"Candy Kittens?" Ruby asked from inside her fort, "But I got 3 bags only last week-"
"Zwei must've raided the case," Blake interrupted quickly, "Mangy mutt."
"Yeah, you know Zwei," Yang laughed awkwardly, "I'm gonna go with Blake to the store to y'know...help...her?"
Ruby stuck her head out of her fort, narrowing her gaze at her sister. The intensity of her silver orbs almost made the blonde give up on the scheme. Thankfully, Ruby just offered a sweet smile after a minute or two, "Okay, have fun then!"
Blake instinctively grabbed Yang's hand, dragging her out the room and closing the door quickly behind them. Ruby frowned for a moment, climbing out of her comfort dome and down to the still open case of sugary delights. Rummaging around for a second, she easily managed to fish a packet of Candy Kittens from the bottom.
'What on Earth are they up to..?' the huntress pondered, staring at the door in deep thought.

"For a second there, I thought I was gonna cave under her stare."
The two girls walked hand in hand down the darkening street; 7:30pm wasn't a rather good time for shopping trips. But luckily, that was just a cover story. Blake shrugged off her large black and inconspicuous hoodie to reveal a black dress shirt underneath. She'd gone with black jeans and black boots too, which didn't strike the other two members of the team as odd on a weekend. Her hair was styled as usual, but she took a bit more time with her makeup than she usually would.
Yang on the other hand wore a yellow off-shoulder top with dark blue jeans and her usual brown boots. Not much effort was made with her hair and makeup - mainly because she can manage to just simply wake up and look badass, so effort in appearance was never a concern for her.
"Do we really need to hide this from them?" Blake asked, "I'm sure Ruby would be happy for you....wouldn't she?"
Yang sighed, looking off to the side. Yang and Blake had been having a secret fling for a few months now, but for a reason unknown to the faunus, her girlfriend didn't want to share the news with the rest of the team.
"I just feel like it'll ruin the team dynamic," She replied.
"Team dynamic? Yang, you literally shielded me from a grim the other day and left Ruby in danger, how exactly is that team dynamic working as of now?"
Yang bit her lip, dragging her feet slightly as she walked.
"You're making me sound like a bad sister," She smiled sadly.
"At that point in time, you were," Blake deadpanned. Yang's grip on Blake's hand tightened slightly.
"Meow-ch Kitten," She pouted, "you'll end up cutting me with that sharp tongue of yours one day."
"I don't think it'll be my tongue that draws blood," She winked, earning a smirk from the blonde.
"Those books really aren't doing you any favours," Yang laughed.
"So I've been told."
The couple eventually came to an Old Western themed restaurant that had just recently opened for business. Blake pulled her hand from Yang's grasp as the blonde headed for the door.
"What are you doing?" Blake asked in disbelief.
"Uhm...going inside..?" Her girlfriend answered.
"I thought you said we were going somewhere fancy," the faunus responded. Yang simply smiled.
"For my wallet? This is as fancy as it gets."

Eventually the girls made their way inside, where they were met by the sight of what seemed to be the interior of an old saloon, with all members of staff dressed to fit the bill. Cowboy memorabilia covered almost every wall, with no health certificates to be seen.
"Yeah, that seems legit," Blake commented dryly.
"C'mon Blake, quit being a Debbie Downer and lets go get a drink or something already."
The two sat at the polished bar, where the bartender had his back turned to them. Yang cleared her throat, catching his attention.
"I'll have the strawberry soda," Yang ordered confidently.
"I'll take the orange soda," Blake muttered, pulling a couple of coins from her jean pocket and throwing it on the counter.
"We don't need no fancy restaurants or flashy stuff to have a nice date, Kitten," Yang smiled, "So why do you look so down?"
Blake looked up at her girlfriend before smiling.
"I'm sorry, you're right. I'm just...I don't know, worried if...you're embarrassed of me?"
"Embarrassed? Of you? Oh please, I'd be screaming my love for you across the entirety of Beacon if I thought it wouldn't have repercussions. I just know the world, and I'm not sure how they'd treat you afterwards," Yang confessed.
"Do I look like I care how they react? I'm just tired of having to stuff my face with Candy Kittens just to spend some time with you," Blake sighed, "I just don't like it."
"I know," Yang nodded, "I don't like it either."
"Then why didn't you say so sooner, amigo!"
Yang glanced up at the sound of a new voice, her eyes widening when her gaze met a silver one. Ruby smiled brightly at her sister, tipping the cowboy hat she had claimed as her own at the pair.
"Looks like I owe you a dollar," Weiss sighed, digging a dollar out of her pocket and throwing it at Ruby, "I thought you guys were in a goat-eating cult."
"B-But, w-wha-"
"Shush, my child!" Ruby silenced, pocketing the dollar, "I'm very disappointed in the lack of faith you have in me."
Blake smiled at the group, leaning over to Yang and pushing her jaw up to close her mouth.
"You'll catch flies like that," was her explanation.
"Did you follow us?" Yang asked.
"Well yeah, I found the Candy Kittens and I wanted to tell you not to waste your money, but clearly that wasn't the issue," Ruby finished. Weiss sat down next to Blake, and Ruby next to Yang. Ruby took off her cowboy hat, placing it on her sister's head with a small snort of amusement.
"Beehaw," She giggled.
