"Who's idea was this again?" Blake groaned, trudging along behind Yang as she held a steady stride infront of the faunus. The blonde's beanie bobbed with her hair in time with every step, the wide smile on her face a permanent feature.

"Come on Kitten, it's called the great outdoors for a reason~" Yang beamed, turning on her heel and walking backwards as she held a conversation with Blake, "plus, camping is great for bonding. Keep an open mind."
Blake sighed, hoisting her backpack up her shoulders.
"You forget that I'm an indoor cat," She muttered to herself. The raven haired girl would surely love nothing more than to be sitting at home with her favourite book and a nice warm cup of tea...maybe some oreos. Everyone knows oreos go down well with a pussy...maybe take out the a. Yang had been begging Blake to go camping ever since the opportunity had arisen the year before back on a mission to Argus when having a conversation with some of the locals. The idea simply wouldn't leave Yang's head, and finally Blake had given in to her girlfriends pleads. So here they were, hiking up the side of a steep grassy hill in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by trees and nature.
"I've got no service," Blake noted as she frowned down at her scroll, "if we get attacked, how will I call for help? This is a bad idea-"
"If we get attacked, we can handle it," Yang shrugged, turning back around to face the front. Blake's ears twitched, tucking flat against her head in a search for warmth.
"I guess so.."
"If we can deal with Goat Man, we can deal with bandits."
"I told you to stop calling him that, it's lame," Blake reminded. Yang slowed her strides, falling in beside Blake in a comfortable rhythm of walking.
"Well, he's a lame son of a bitch, so it's fitting, is it not?" The blonde grinned. Blake nudged her girlfriend.
"He wasn't always like that..." She muttered. Frowning slightly, Yang observed the kitten's gloomy demeanor at the mere mention of Adam.
"Well...look at it this way. He's doing something useful now at least."
"What do you mean?" Blake asked skeptically.
"...He's a colander for the gods," Yang shrugged, "that's his redemption."
"Yang!" Blake scolded, "stop it!"
"What? He took my fucking arm, I'm pretty sure I've got a pass for taunts," the blonde spoke. Blake stopped walking, folding her arms with a huff. Yang stopped just a yard infront of her, silently cursing.
"What?" Yang probed with her eyebrow raised.
"It's not okay to disrespect the de-"
"But he can disrespect my body parts?" Yang questioned incredulously. Blake opened her mouth to argue, but shut it again with a huff. What arguement could she possibly have to counter Yang's valid claim? Her strides became more hurried as she attempted to walk ahead of the blonde. Yang narrowed her gaze at he back of Blake's head as she walked, sincerely pissed. Why was she still defending that twisted bastard? Adam had hurt her so many times, massacred thousands and all for his own personal gain. He used her, and she still fights for him? Yang hung back, letting the faunus sulk. She wasn't about to apologise for snapping. Yang always ended up apologising because Blake just couldn't let Adam go. The blonde had enough. So when Yang found a nice camping spot under the shade of a tree, she completely ignored Blake's existence as she began setting up the small tent they'd brought with them. Blake sat under the tree and poured herself a cup of tea from her flask, and watched Yang intently. Not once did she offer help, or make a comment.

Time and space heals all wounds, afterall....doesn't it?

Yang finished putting up the tent just as the sun was setting; the orange hues illuminating the trees at a perfect angle. The view really was beautiful. Such a shame no one was really paying it much attention.
"Where are you going?" Blake asked as Yang walked away from the tent towards the forest.
"Nunya," Yang called back, not bothering to stop.
"Where's that?" Blake yelled, considering the distance between them was growing as Yang walked on.
"Nunya business!" The blonde yelled back, disappearing into the Woodlands. Blake sighed in frustration.
"You're so...childish."
She turned to the tent, deciding to set up a fireplace while she waited for her girlfriend to return. Unzipping it, she frowned at the interior. Yang had blown up the double sized airbed they were supposed to share, and pushed it up against the side wall of the tent. Next to it, she made another single bed from some spare blankets on the floor. Yang's bag sat on the makeshift bed, whereas Blake's sat on the airbed. A small note lay beside it.

Blake stared at the note in complete disbelief. Horror, in fact. Of course she loved Yang, unconditionally. Adam meant the world to her, but so did Yang. The blonde even more so than Goat Man. She slipped the paper in her pocket and fled the tent, waiting outside for her lover to return.

An hour passed.

"Maybe she's just finding firewood."

Two hours passed.

"Maybe she's helping someone."

Three hours.

"She'll come back."

Four.

"Won't she?"

Blake couldn't take it anymore.

Grabbing Gambol Shroud, she raced in the direction that she saw Yang go with new-found determination.
"Yang!" She cried, "Yang are you out there?!"
She threw herself into the trees and kept running; the only sound echoing through her ears was her racing heartbeat and her shallow breaths.
"Yang!" She screamed again, tears brimming in her amber orbs, "please-"
She hit something - or rather someone - at such a speed that it winded her. She was thrown backwards, but didn't hit the ground as a hand clamped down on her wrist. She peeled open her eyes, which she'd shut subconsiously, to be met with two sparkling lilac eyes staring back at her.
"What's wrong? Is someone chasing you? Are you hurt?" Yang asked, her expression remaining neutral the entire time, but elements of concern leaked through her facade. Blake blinked, allowing tears to run down her cheeks as she threw herself into Yang's arms.
"I'm s-so sorry!" She sobbed, gripping the blonde's shirt in a death grip, "P-Please don't l-leave me.."
Yang didn't hesitate, snaking her left arm around the faunus' waist and placing her right hand on her back of her head, "Blake.."
"Hear me out," She sniffled, looking up at her girlfriend with a desperate stare, "I love you. I love you I love you I love you. Not Adam. I loved him, but not nearly as much as I love you. It hurts, because he was my world. But when he exploded and sent me flying through the stars, I found a new world - a better one. I don't know what I'd do without you, Yang. Please, I'm so sorry for what I said, please don't leave."
Yang's neutrality morphed into surprise, as a small smile appeared on her face. She pulled the raven haired girl into her chest, kissing the top of her head lovingly.
"I love you too," She whispered, "but I can't fight-"
"No no no, no more fights, please Yang I can't lose you too. I won't let him take someone else from me."
Yang sighed, looking up at the sky for a second before returning her gaze to the pool of emotions in her arms. She pulled Blake back and stared into her eyes.
"I know you won't."
Blake sniffed as Yang wiped her tears, a small smile appearing through the mist of misery.
"Listen, Blake I just...I hate fighting with you. It breaks my heart to hurt you, or push subjects, but it breaks my heart to sit in silence too."
"I know. Listen...give me a chance, okay? I'm just...I can't...I've never lived without him before, I'm still adjusting," Blake sighed.
"You did live without him once," Yang brushed a strand of dark hair from those amber beauties, "and you can do it again. With me this time."
Blake reached her hand up to cup Yang's cheek, pressing her lips against her girlfriend's. The tender kiss wasn't ill-recieved, as Yang melted into the faunus, gripping her waist a tad tighter. Fighting with Blake was horrible, but oh boy was the make-up sex one hell of a perk.
